Water damage on the ceiling of room 235

My family of four stayed at this hotel recently as part of a group requiring approximately 36 rooms. Many people complained of mold, bugs, stained sheets and overpricing during their stay. My review is based on my personal experience. There was no elevator in one side of the hotel and we were told to carry our multiple bags up the stairs. No mini fridge or microwaves in the rooms. The decor was very dated and they provided a curtain instead of a closet door. The bathroom was small and the toilet emitted a high whistling noise each time it was flushed. The thermostat was difficult to use and the unit alternated between hot and cold air. There was water damage on the ceiling as well. This hotel does not live up to the Crowne Plaza name in the least.

It's certainly a stunning property a lot of history behind it and from what it looks like typically it's a venue for weddings. I had never heard of this property before despite being a Cincinnati native. I would imagine this would be a stunning venue for a wedding. Hopefully they have other events for the public: this was a very neat opportunity to see a musical and to get to visit the historic house and grounds.

Upon visiting Peterloon we were in love -- the charm is unmatched. We had our ceremony in the sunken garden, cocktails inside/outside, and a tented reception. The following really made the day spectacular: - Jamie and the Peterloon staff went above and beyond to meet any needs we could have. - After a rainy week the grass drained really well and pavers were perfect for the reception. - The air conditioned bridal suite - Ability to use baby grand piano - Fans in house - NO CICADAS SOMEHOW! - Working with Samantha Joy Events - she knows everything there is to know about Peterloon! Despite being a 90 degree day, guests were mostly in the shade for the ceremony and could cool off in the house all night long. If you have any hesitations - I truly think a rainy wedding at Peterloon would still beat a good weather day at any other venue! Thank you for everything, Peterloon staff! Then I thought okay it's mid week, lunch time, so I came in. I was limited on time, came in and ordered a pizza and a beer. Told the server she could serve it in the to go box since I had to go sooner than I would have liked. Service was friendly, prompt and she still checked on me after I had paid. Although the place was not busy, there was a large table with a baby and 2 pre schoolers. They were all well behaved, but still I'm always surprised that breweries are now for kids. I really liked the decor!

My husband was saying how much better it will be when we come back in the summer with the huge patio and all the garage doors open. I agreed, but I also think part of the reason we loved it so much was that even though it was a cold, gray February day, inside Parks and Rec had so much greenery and lots of windows so it felt summery inside! Our server was super friendly and went over the menu with us, telling us which items were most popular and which were his favorites. I got the peanut butter porter which was really good and hubby liked his s'mores stout as well. We split one of their huge pretzels which came with whole grain mustard and beer cheese...delish!! Then I got a 1/2 apple and pecan salad, which was more pecans, apples and dried cranberries than salad (and I mean that in the best way!) My husband let me try one of his chicken wings which had a nice spice to it. We were very pleasantly surprised at how great our whole experience was because the reviews were pretty mixed but honestly, it was a great visit from start to finish. Highly recommend!
