Truthfully, it had been a hard year and we wanted to do something that would feel cheerful. We parked and as we were walking in someone collecting carts curtly said "we're closed". I said "oh, it says you close in 15 minutes" which she replied "yeah well, they're not going to sell you anything." Cool. We brushed it off and walked in and two employees looked at us and one said "we're closed now, not enough time to shop." So we said "we were just going to look at the Christmas trees for 5 minutes" and the woman shook her head clearly frustrated. We walked over to the Christmas tree aisle and stood in silence for a beat. My husband turned and said "this doesn't feel joyful anymore". We could have used any of the following: kindness, holiday spirit, or anyone to simply stfu and keep their misery to themselves. Instead we were called out to rudely by two separate employees. You can keep your overpriced home goods and we'll happily find somewhere else to shop.

They also have a large selection of chachkies which are a little higher priced than say At Home. My boyfriend and I visited on a Saturday so they were a bit busy and didn't seem to have too much employees working but I feel like that's pretty much everywhere right now. Definitely check out HomeSense if you haven't already! They have some really cute quality pieces if you are into home decor.

I did not feel rushed, so I was able to take my time to make the right decisions. I will admit the wait time was hard, I wanted it now. But the wait was so very worth it! The desk is so beautiful, and I am very proud of it and how it makes my home office look. Sitting at my new desk, with things put away, within reach, I feel so much more productive. One nightstand had to be ordered and it matched perfectly. I also ordered four countertop chairs. They were the exact wood and color I chose and the contour seats and back are beautifully made. I looked elsewhere for comparable chairs/stools and felt these were a bargain compared to what I saw. This store is family run and Roy and his son were a pleasure to work with. It did take around three months to get the items I ordered but build time fell with the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays as well as bad weather in the Midwest. Very happy with my purchase.
