My $3500 recliner was delivered defective. After 2 repair attempts, their "Customer Service" wants to try for a 3rd time. They refuse to send me a new recliner. They say my only option is to have it repaired. Every time they try to repair it, I have to take the day off of work. They only do repairs on Monday and Tuesday and they don't give a timeframe in advance. They deliver defective products and they order wrong parts. The Customer is not their first concern and they don't know the meaning of "Service". Don't buy LA-Z-BOY - save your money and go somewhere else - anywhere else!!! read more

On March 6, 2024, I assisted my elderly mother with the purchase of a La-Z-Boy Clayton Gold lift chair, at a cost of $2727.83, which we paid in full. Unfortunately, we had a very difficult time dealing with Allyson L., the store manager at the Cedar Park, TX store. We tried several times to purchase the floor model and were emphatically told that it "was NOT an option. All furniture is shipped from a warehouse in the DFW area, and this store has absolutely no way to inventory or delivery furniture locally." So, reluctantly, we purchased a new chair with a shipment time of @ 1-2 weeks. Unfortunately, my mother was only visiting for 3 weeks and needed the chair to sleep in - a fact we made very clear to Allyson. The chair was delivered as promised, however, we had to refuse delivery after it was set up (before the delivery crew left) as it was obvious that the chair simply did not fit my mother the way it did in the store and worse, it was a significant fall risk for her, and we did not feel it to be safe. In trying to get a full refund, Allyson told us they would have to measure the chair they sent and compare it to chairs in their warehouse and then they would determine what refund amount they were willing to provide. (Hmmmmm). I never heard the answer on chair measurements, but while supposedly waiting for this information, Allyson called us and was "magically" able to sell us the floor model, but only at the new price. She said she occasionally did this to assist customers in need - which directly contradicted her previous statements and position. I can only assume she was trying to salvage her commission and that they were going to find a way to locally deliver the floor model and replace it with the new chair we had just purchased. At no point do I believe she ever had my mother's best interests at heart and that Allyson would simply say whatever was easiest to get the sale. In addition, she adamantly refused to give any type of discount for the used, floor model, so we declined the offer. At this point, we felt lied to and after being repeat La-Z-Boy customers for decades, simply lost trust in the store manager, this location, and the Lazy-Boy brand. Ultimately, Allyson did provide a full refund, however had we not vehemently stood our ground, I doubt this would have happened. The good news is we literally went across the street and purchased a lift chair from Ashley Homestore - and while it did not have the heat/massage features, it cost @ 50% less and they were very happy to work with us on pricing. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! I have been a fan of La-Z-Boy furniture for a long time...there was always at least one La-Z-Boy recliner in every househild as I was growing up. So as I'm making my first big furniture purchase ever, I decided to go La-Z-Boy all the way. I picked out fabric, chairs , tables, sleeper/sofa, area rugs, even had the designer come out. I was so excited!! This was a huge deal for me...a real investment...something I will be living with for the rest of my life (I'm not a young person)! Cut to some nine months (YES...I said NINE months) later, my LONG awaited furniture is delivered. I notice a problem right away (told to call salesperson)...the sofa and pillow fabrics DO NOT match. After leaving several messages for the salesperson with no response I finally take a sofa cushion and the throw pillow to the store to show them that there is clearly an issue. Was told that the sofa was covered in the incorrect fabric to begin with. So at least I wasn't crazy! I told them I didn't like the sofa fabric...it was certainly NOT my first choice. I asked which would be the "simplest" fix, thinking that I would be handled a matching pillow cover immediately. Instead three months go by and I don't hear a word from the store. I go by in person to check the status now believing that they ended up doing the "right" thing and made good on the sofa; but NO...they still haven't figured out the pillow cushion. Anyway, I asked the salesperson what it would take to get my sofa in the originally promised fabric. After a time and some back room conversations with what I assume was a manager I was told that my preferred fabric was discontinued. I asked what options I had available but the salesperson would have to get back to me. A week/10 days goes by and I finally end up calling the store to check status. In the end a manager ends up calling me back and saying my only option is to come by and pick up the pillow in about two(?) weeks. They don't even have the consideration of delivering it. Poor communication, poor/lack of follow-up, terrible customer service after the sale, poor store management, bully-like attitude and more!! read more
