As a former NCAA soccer player and somebody who played my whole life until I got really bad injuries, I am always happy to see stores related to soccer. I would give it 5 Stars if it wasn't so expensive for certain items. It's still cheap cheaper than some of the brand name sports stores though and it's perfect for anyone in or near Astoria.

If anyone's wondering why the reviews of this store is so low, I think I've found the answer…read more.. We were trying to find a prom dress for our friend and after we went to counter to checkout the dress. There were only two workers at the store and one seemed like the manager. The other worker was pretty nice but the "manager" had the nastiest attitude. After we found the dress we wanted to buy, they were struggling to find the style of the dress at the counter because they had lost the tag on it. This is their problem but I still waited patiently while they try to determine the style and they found another dress with a tag on to compare. I was also looking at it trying to help them out and then the "manager" gave me the dirtiest look and said "Can't you wait? Give us some time so we can figure it out!" She was talking to a white male(we're Asian btw) prior to us and she was so nice to him and spoke so soft. We went over to ask her about a shoe right after she was talking to that guy and she was like "go ask the other lady." She was so patient to him and gave us such an attitude? I wonder why? Can't be because we're Asian Firstly, why even bother to put it on display when you can't sell that dress? What? To waste our time? Also, How messed up can the management of the store be when you put a unsellable dress on display? The other worker worked very patiently and were helping all around the store while the "manager" only stayed at the counter and did minimal job. The girl found us the right sizes and even helped us hang the dresses back. The other girl should be the manager, not her. She acted like I'm forcing her to do this job Well she chose this job and she's paid to do it so she better learn to have some self control! If you don't have self control, why should you be able to run a store? I've seen other reviews about this problem and I can promise you, you will regret stepping into that store! It will sabotage your whole day's mood! My best advice for this specific store is to fire that manager! ^ Update We called the customer was super nice and they called Rosa which turned out to be the manager. Rosa said to us before that she would ask the price during the conference meeting at 3:30 because she couldn't call them and could only email. We didn't believe her because she didn't even ask us for our contacts so they can notify us. It was the other girl that asked us for it. After we called at like 3:00, the customer service called her and immediately, she called back to the number we left her(still with an attitude) and told us we can go pick the dress up. After we arrived, Rosa criticized us for calling customer service and getting her in trouble and told us we can still call back if we want(to file her a complaint). She said that it was messed up that we called because she was willing to go up and beyond to help us show the dress at the conference meeting. She had already just got the price for the dress for us. It was only 3 and the meeting was at 3:30 so how did she get the price? She did exactly what she said she couldn't do: called. So why did she tell us she couldn't call? Because she didn't want to. Her coworker was still very patient. Big thumbs up for her coworker and the customer service We did exactly what she asked for and filed a complaint. Leaving the one star for this store just because of her

Even though the store was busy on a Saturday, almost soon as I walked in, I was greeted and being helped. I had no real idea what I was looking for besides for what was on the list I was given, but the girl helping me knew exactly what I needed and started getting them for me one-by-one. She was super nice and efficient. I feel the pricing was fair for the service and products, and I highly recommend this place for all your uniform needs.

Made the trip to MonkeySports Superstore to finally buy goalie gear and somehow walked in thinking…read more"I'll just grab a few things" like that has ever happened to a goalie in human history. The goalie staff there were awesome and actually knew what they were talking about. One of the goalie experts helped fit me properly for pads instead of letting me wander around looking like a confused Transformer. They had an unreal selection of gear -- I think I tried on every helmet in the building before finally finding one that fit my head without making me feel like I was being compressed into a submarine hatch. Ended up getting a chest protector for an amazing price, knee pads, helmet, and skates. They baked and sharpened the skates right there too, which made the whole process ridiculously easy. Honestly, for goalie gear this place is dangerous. You walk in needing one thing and suddenly you're convincing yourself that spending hundreds of dollars on equipment designed specifically to get hit by frozen rubber is somehow financially responsible. Great staff, huge selection, and probably one of the best places around if you're a goalie trying to get properly fitted without guessing your way through it.

The best part of this store is that in general you'll find at least a couple of knowledgeable employees hanging around at all times. If you need a lot of gear, I'd drive the extra distance to this store versus the Pure Hockey and xHockey options that seem to be sprinkled everywhere else.

I've had several chains / necklaces shortened, some lengthened, and I also purchased a new leather band for my Seiko watch, which of course they attached for me. Then, I go shopping at Trader Joe's, which is five minutes away. When finished at TJ's, I pick-up my items from Fast Fix and head home. Hiyun and Sam, the owners, are wonderful people. Yes, I know their names as I've been there many times and have had very nice conversations with them. They are very helpful, kind, friendly and are excellent at what they do. I would highly recommend visiting Fast Fix for your jewelry and watch needs. I really can't understand some of the other reviews, though everyone's individual experience is of course unique unto them. As well, some folks are just simply hard to deal with, or perhaps unreasonable, we all know people like this. I would suggest to be clear with what your needs are and what you are looking to have done, upfront. And you should ask for a price as well before any work is to be done, I always do. Or perhaps, as A.W. mentioned in their review below, folks aren't aware that this is a franchise operation and they may be leaving their review for the wrong location. I don't know, can't say. What I do know is that of my four visits here, all have been excellent. I would highly recommend, and have, Fast Fix to family and friends, and to all those reading this review.
