We called this am asking if they had a ballpark idea of when they would be here. They said 9a-4p. We waited around all day for our delivery. Called again and they said we'll be there within the hour. Waited, called AGAIN! She said he just left 10 mins ago. CALLED AGAIN since they are about to close and they said idk what you're talking about, we don't have an order for you! WHAT?! Talked to the owner he said he won't give us our money back!! He charged us a cancellation fee for an order that we didn't cancel! I said I can't believe that's how you're going to run your business! And he goes "Yep, I'm the boss and that's how I run my business." I'm fuming. So "Boss guy" I hope you see this. It's my kids birthday. I hope you're satisfied. read more

Staff is rude and unprofessional. Didn't return full deposit because of made up fines they wanted to collect. Had no written, legal documentation to back up their claims. Sent no photos or other correspondence as justification even though they were told to do so. Sent no estimates for the "damages and labor" they were assessing. Don't rent from here, they will scam you at time of pick up. It's really disappointing because our event went well, and we had every intention of re-booking with them, but they completely shot themselves in the foot with their mishandling of post-event customer service. read more

I would give them no stars if I could. We are having a family reunion and needed a tent, tables, chairs, bounce house etc. Several of us called. Not only were they rude on the phone they were not helpful at all. When we realized how expensive they were we tried to cancel within 24 hours of the rental and they refused to refund the deposit on chairs and tables. As well as the other rental. We then tried to work it out so we were not all paying the ridiculous delivery charge since all of these items are going to the same place. They could not do that!! DO NOT order from this company. They are out to make money no matter what. Not helpful or customer friendly at all. There are far better family owned and operated companies to order from and we did. Basically almost able to rent just about any tool you can think of for a decent price. So far have used the sewer auger, locator, post hole auger, and electric Jack hammer. You can also reserve the Tool! read more

This place is horrible! The staff is rude and their prices are ridiculous. I rented an excavator and offered to power wash it before returning it. The guy who dropped it off and picked it up said that wasn't necessary. I just received bill and they added $25 for cleaning saying I returned it extremely dirty. What a scam! read more

After working with this company for well over 3 decades on several events in Lowell, Lake Dale & Crown Point, we won't be dealing with them again...EVER. We rented tables for our garage sale last weekend in Crown Point and the contract stated a Saturday pick up between 3-4PM. The men charged with the equipment pick up began calling moments after 2PM wanting to know if we were ready for pick up. This sale was publicly posted to run until 2pm. We told them no and they said "no problem, take your time" and proceeded to show up less than 10 minutes later and pulled into our driveway with their truck interrupting the flow of customers we had still at our sale and stood there outside the truck tapping his foot waiting for us to break down early since we were his last pick up of the day. Our contract said we specifically had those tables until 3PM. when I challenged him on the details of our contact agreement his response was "Oh come on...". Adding insult to injury, a woman who purchased two large furniture pieces during this time and I were required to walk around their truck which was blocking the entire 3 car driveway in order to load these pieces of furniture into her car as she was unable to pull up to our garage since they had pulled directly into the center of our driveway. If they intend to stay in business Crown Party Rentals needs to learn to honor their contracts and hire employees with manner and some semblance of people skills.
