When I was a lot younger, I was obsessed with the KFC that use to reside in this location. I was a…read morevery sad young boy when it closed down - I think it was due to a kitchen fire? Afterwards it was replaced by a Crown Fried Chicken but I don't think it lasted very long. Its current tenant is Sookie's and they've been standing strong for the last 8 years. Just off of N Main St, Leominster, this place is very easy to get to as long as you aren't confused by that bizarre intersection. Directly in front of Sookie's is a few parking spots, but if drive over to the trees there are several more spots tucked in the corner. There's nothing really to write about the interior. There's about 4-5 tables inside and there is an attempt to have some decorations hung up. I think the bathroom-tile-like floor doesn't do the place any favors. There IS a self-serve fountain drink machine if you happen to dine in. I spoke to the cashier while I was waiting for my food and she was a delight. She takes great pride in the quality of the food and the owner's hard work and dedication to their customers. I really wanted to try out everything on the menu, but alas I only have one stomach. Fried Chicken (dark meat) ; I ordered the three-piece and it came with 2 cornbreads and 2 sides. The chicken was very good, juicy and crispy. I would place the seasoning level somewhere below KFC's heavy seasoning and above Cluck & Crispy's light seasoning. Normally I discard included biscuits when I eat at KFC and Popeyes, but I found the cornbreads to be delicious. I enjoyed eating both of them. Coleslaw ; my first side. This is an interesting coleslaw. It leans quite heavily into tangy, similar to Market Basket. And I dig it. Potato Salad ; I chose this one by the cashier's recommendation. This one also leaned quite tangy which made it a little exhausting to eat when paired with the coleslaw. It's good, but I couldn't really appreciate it. Traditional Wings ; 10 pieces, Honey & Korean Chile, Sweet BBQ. I don't have much say about them. They sauces are great although I wish they were applied more heavily. I found myself really trying to scrape against the takeout container to coat the wings more. The wings were cooked just right, but I think they're too small for my preference. I think I just prefer my wings to have sort of batter or cornstarch coating on them. Pork BBQ Fries ; holy moly these are delicious. 'nuff said.

The interior is very sparse and clearly modeled for most takeout; there are literally only 4 tables inside; 2 meant for couples and 2 meant for groups of four. None of the decoration stands out but it's clean and that's really all you should want when you spend your hard-earned cash. I've eaten here several times and this place never misses. The crunch on this chicken is out of this world and somehow it stays very delicate and ultra crispy. The meat inside is perfectly cooked and juicy. Even the dang popcorn chicken is juicy perfection. This isn't KFC - the meat and batter are not heavily seasoned and if you're expecting more you better pay 50 cents per sauce cup. I always grab a couple of Yum sauces. Everyone needs to come check this place out - it sets a new benchmark for quality fried chicken. I decided to go pretty crazy with the embedded pictures, but I HAD to show off how crazy crispy the chicken is and how juicy the meat is.

Good ac and bathroom down the long hallway is decent. One person taking orders. 5/5 popcorn chicken one of the best ive had. It was fresh fried so everything is cooked to order. It came out hot and crispy. The breading was solid and retained a lot of flavor. Each chunk of white meat chicken was tender and juicy and full of flavor (definitely marinated before with some tenderizer like yogurt maybe) 4.5 / 5 drumsticks. Like some reviews, super crispy and had to bite a few times before getting to the juicy tender meat in center. Like the popcorn chicken, has good flavor with savory seasonings in the breading and marinated meat. 4.5 / 5 has to do a separate review for the sauce. The sauce is incredible. The Yum Yum sauce is a mix of this tangy mayonnaise garlicky sauce that you sometimes we get on like Halal guys or chicken and rice guys but a slightly tangier flavor. The first small cup of sauce comes free per chicken dish but 50cents for any extra. Well worth it! Have gone twice and will definitely go again.
