I had scheduled both an inspection and a cleaning for my fireplace. However during the inspection Chase informed me that my fireplace did not need cleaning at that time. This honesty made me feel confident in their service and appreciated their commitment to quality over unnecessary work. During the inspection he saw rust inside the fireplace and decided to climb up to check it out. Once on the roof he found that the vent was not sealed properly which could lead to further damage. It was clear that the vent needed to be replaced to prevent future issues. As promised the company would deduct the inspection fee from the total cost of the repair work. He took pictures and wrote explanations for each step to ensure everything was clear and I understood what needed replaced.

The service tech said I had a defective switch causing my home generator to cycle up and down. This was in October 2022. As background information, I purchased my Kohler from a different dealer because I could not find a local dealer in Pensacola. Despite repeated service visits, they never fixed the problem. Blackwell serviceman said they had to order the part. When the part came in late November, the Tech installed and spent time explaining the operation and service. 5 Stars. Now the second review. I complained that the $400 switch had been defective since day one and should be replaced under warranty. I spoke to the Tech, Office and even filed an email request to the Office. I was presented with a $400 bill which I paid. I was not a happy camper when I contacted Kohler the beginning of December. To my surprise, the nice lady volunteered to reimburse me! Temporally forgotten, in February I realized I had not seen a refund. Contacted Kohler again and was told that was credited to Blackwell last year and they should have refunded my money. When I confronted their Manager about their failure to contact Kohler or issue my refund, the reply was, "I was not here last year." Then he blamed Kohler for incorrect paperwork for no refund. This is not some huge company. I counted three people in the Office. I think there is room for improvement in their staff. So after hours on the phone, many emails and four months of aggravation doing the job Blackwell's Office should have done, I got my refund March 12, 2023.
