Dr. Otto is my dentist and he fortunately always has good news for me about my teeth. The dental assistants are extremely gentle and thorough while doing cleanings. Well i was recoverying at home and went to the doctors and was told i had cancer, so i had to have surgery, got home and called the office again to tell them what was going on and i explained what was going on and ask them if i could please have the same Dentist because i really liked him, i was told no problem because the Doctor did make me new teeth and i told them i needed an adjustment. Then another tradigety, my Granddaughter passed away, so i called again explained again what was going on even though i was still not healed from all this, but i wanted to see my Doctor, again they said no problem we understand why you are not coming in, and i told them i will be in as soon as all this was taken care of and again they said no problem. So i called for an appointment in June and the girl told me it has been to long and the dentist will not see you, i told her i have been calling in and was told it was ok, and she said no and hung up. How can they get away with this, it is very unfair being i was told they understood my situation. I know it is not the Doctors fault, but the front desk just hung up on me. I am 77 years old and never had such a bad experience. All i wanted was an adjustment as i can not wear them this way. Please , i do not know what to do i paid them up front for them and all i want is an adjustment. they are to long in the back of my throath and have bumps all over the top of the roof of the teeth. PLEASE some one give me an asnwer. Thank you very much, LINDA C.

There's so much I can say about this place. I dont think I have the room or time. I'm more pissed…read morebecause I have to pay him as well as another dentist to do the SAME WORK. When It should have been done RIGHT the first time. Giving a one star because the office staff is extremely friendly. However, I dont need friends. I need my mouth fixed. I was referred to Dr. Strzalka by a coworker who spoke highly of him. Even though she loves him she had concerns about how many times she had to see him to fix one thing. She had even expressed to me that he couldn't find a tooth that was hurting her, after she pointed out which one she thought it was. She came back with pain in the same area and At that point she just told him to start digging. Sure enough, it was the one she said it was. That rubbed me wrong because as the dentist, a patient shouldn't be telling you how to do your job. You should know. I ignored all that because I was thrilled to see a new dentist. One who would take their time and be kind. Like my coworker said he was with her. However, my mouth is still not fine after MANY visits. I went in with two cavities and sensitivity with the metal fillings. I was told by Aspen Dental that I needed to get root canals in the two teeth and a few fillings in some others. I should have just let them do it. After Dr. Strzalka did my ONE root canal, which took 3 visits, I told him my tooth was still hurting and hurt bad to bite down. He told me to wait until it heals. Its been 3 months and I still CANNOT chew on that tooth. When I floss in between the teeth he "fixed" it is STILL very painful and SMELLY. Same as before. Because he didnt fix a thing! Anyway...He fits me for my crown and that was a rush order because I was leaving town. I was cool with that. But because he rushed, it didnt fit! He ended up having to file it down along with my actual tooth above it. Somehow, I had a HUGE open gash inside of my jaw. Of course I didn't feel it when it actually happened. But after my numbness went away it was so painful and sore. I could taste the blood nonstop. He could have at least told me he made a mistake and cut my cheek. But there was no acknowledgement or apology. ALSO, he worked and filed on my crown with bare hands. I watched him handle my crown with his bare hands, not wash it off and then proceed to place it in my mouth. He also did NOT change gloves often. I watched him scratch his arm with gloves on but then come right back to my mouth. He would leave the room and come back. Touch stuff in drawers and paperwork then come right back to my mouth like it was nothing. Another lady came in to look in my mouth at one point beacuse they needed a second opinion on something. I jerked back when she leaned too close and pointed in my mouth with NO mask OR gloves. She said with an attitude, "I'm not gonna touch you." Well you shouldn't be that close anyway! Then she didnt even introduce herself. I still dont know who she is. Kim, his assistant is very nice and pleasant. She had great conversation. But her cleaning is subpar. She barely wiped down any equipment. The spit suction cup has a liner in it. All she did in between patients was empty the liner and place a new one in. The actual handle and other suction equipment was not wiped down. Ive seen blood on the outside of the suction. The gun that that they use to inject the filling solution is not properly cleaned. The uv light gun is not properly cleaned. Ive seen both of them with blood residue or just dirt in general. When taking an xray, they go from touching the inside of your mouth and spit to touching the walls, xray switch and camera. The walls, xray switch and camera are not wiped down. The ONLY thing that I have seen them wipe down with cavi wipes is the bed and counter if visibly dirty. Im sorry but they are not clean. I should have just went with another dentist from the beginning. I couldn't switch in the middle because he kept putting clove in my tooth and placing a temporary cap on. It took extremely too long to do ONE root canal. If they are too busy of a place them they should hire more dentists. They SHOULD DEFINITELY hire a tech to THOROUGHLY clean between paitients. And take some aseptic workshops!

All I got was suggestion to get antibiotics and pain killers. I had been using pain killers for same tooth more than 2 weeks. Because treatment was already paid and if they need to fix a failure in their treatment wouldn't get extra pay. I feel like I wasted my time and insurance plan. This dentist is more interested in dental plans rather than customer dental problems. Hopefully my root cannal works out good because I don't want waste my time with this dentist again. Please do not go here, for your own health - They attempted to scam me into multiple procedures I…read moredid not need. Upon examination, Nick told me I had at least 4 cavities to be filled, needed multiple deep cleanings, and decay removed from other teeth. None of which was true. I would have gone through with all of this had it not been for the "pay everything up front and you get a refund through your insurance policy", I am a law student working very few hours and I couldn't afford to pay the full amount at the time, so believing I needed an abundance of work done I decided to go somewhere recommended that will charge my insurance like normal. I went to Lakeshore Dental Care to get these "multiple cavities" filled only for them to tell me I have one singular small cavity (so small numbing wasn't even needed), no decay, and all I needed was a normal cleaning. I had trusted Nick and did not believe I had only one cavity, insisting I had multiple, asking "but what about this", until they went tooth by tooth with me showing me on each one there were 0 signs of cavities, along with how tiny the only one I had was. They also told me what every other dentist besides Nick in my life had, that I have impeccable teeth and am just not prone to cavities, which is why it took 28 years to have my first one. I got my single tiny cavity filled at less than 1/2 of the cost he quoted per filling, using the same insurance, and not having to pay upfront and wait for a check from the insurance company. I have worked with Nick in a professional capacity for years at my job and trusted him fully only for him to attempt to have me go through multiple procedures he knows I don't need, this is after sharing anxiety about dental procedures and him assuring me he would take great care of me - I can not imagine he doesn't do the same for those he doesn't know personally. Further, when I asked for my X-rays to be transferred to the new office, they did not send the ones I got in office that he diagnosed all these issues with, but ones I had back in 2019 elsewhere; likely due to the fact any dentist would be able to look at the same X-rays he used to tell me I need so many procedures and know that I had perfectly healthy teeth. It is the definition of a scam. I am absolutely disgusted and livid. On top of all of this, he literally yelled at me when I asked him a question regarding the procedures. I asked why he insisted on something and instead of simply explaining, his response was to scream "Hey! Listen to me, I know what i'm doing!" at me in the waiting room. As if I don't have the right to ask a question about MY teeth and the procedures I will be paying for.. absolute lunacy. Looking back, this should have been the biggest sign to stay away.
