I'm sorry but watching a tv screen and rotating through stations just doesn't do it for me. I may as well workout at home! I timed that the actual minutes I was working out for was 33! F35 might be okay if you are new to working out and need some kind of direction. The weights are decent but again I could do this at home. But avoid if you are an experienced athlete and want an actually challenging workout! The instructors didn't seem very knowledgeable either. Having done gymnastics at an elite level, I know the qualities of good athletic trainers. The instructors at F35 would just cheer and point to stations that the tv was showing. Kind of ridiculous! I think I'll take my money elsewhere! Other cons include: -absurd cost -no towels -claustrophobic studio -parking in tight garage

I am usually a big fan of group fitness so it's painful to me to give this such a bad review…read more However it is a major waste of money and I want to advise others to stay away for the following reasons: -Time: you go in thinking you are going to get a full 45 minute workout. However, it should be called F35 bc after the instructor shows what each station is, there is only 35 minutes left and this includes warm up time and time between stations -instructions: basically a tv shows what each station is. And the instructor really only goes around cheering for people. One instructor looked so young and didn't really seem to be that knowledgeable on fitness. -Price: a drop in class is $35. Given that the workout is only 35 minutes after the demo, that's a $1 a minute. -workout: the sets were really short and simple. You may as well just do your own workouts bc you are looking at a tv for instruction on f45 anyways -other: the space is really small and not very nice. They don't even give towels which is absurd for $35 a class. And also they won't stop bothering you to join after you try a class. F45 Is a fad. If you are interested in group fitness try a cross fit studio or literally any other gym. They will rob you of your money here and you won't get that great of a workout.

To say the least, I came in with trepidation of hurting myself and many doubts on my ability to 'keep up'. What I have learnt is the CrossFit is infintesimally scalable and the fact that all levels of people do the same workout feels rewarding and challenging at the same time. I have met beginners like me, veterans who fist-bump me at the end of class with an encouraging word of 'great workout', and amazing coaches who care. The gym is special - and what makes it special is the people. I have had 'WOD- workout of the day' classes with 9 different coaches over the last 3 months. Each one of them has a beautiful smile, an infectious positive energy, and serious coaching chops. The coaches are amazing at guidance, scaling the workouts to match my abilities, and watch over my technique and perfectly balance the push/pull of challenging me without leaving me dejected. I still begrudgingly (lazily) walk in the the box, but I know that all I have to do is show up - and I am in good hands. I always walk out suffering a bit and looking dead, but by the time I get home I feel proud of my achievement that day. Thanks to the folks at CRF7 for being my guides on the journey of building health, fitness and fulfillment. The learning curve 'seems' steep but with a lot of guidance and consistent attendance I am already seeing positive impacts on my health and mental well-being.

We started on a Groupon and moved into the full classes shortly thereafter. Everyone is nice. No one is judgmental. That was the scariest part for us since we weren't in the best shape going in. The coaches were patient with our progress and always encouraged us without the slightest hint of degradation. The other classmates are also very engaging and positive. You're constantly being told "good job" and cheered on. The results we've experienced have been amazing. Going between 3-4 times a week, we've both toned up considerably and gotten a lot stronger. I lost a few inches in my waist and gained a few in my shoulders... exactly what I wanted to do. Now that we've been there this long, we can both do just about all of the exercises with no problem. However, the workouts still kick our butts. But that's what we want.

Expect high energy, upbeat music, dim lights, and plenty of sweat. There is also a Stretch and Mobility class that is great for loosening up tight muscles. The instructors have a very positive attitude and inspire the students. This isn't one of those studios where you'll feel shamed or intimidated. The coaches are so positive and motivating, as well as thorough in their pre workout demonstrations and make those small corrections in our movements that make all the difference in our results and the burnnn! The HIIT circuits are setup so nicely, flowing through about 10 different stations and leaving the whole body worked by the end of the class. These classes are pretty solid for building muscle but you're not going to get huge or insanely strong with this style of workout. This will be more for toning muscle/athletic build as well as gaining functionality and work capacity. It's nice that it's all based on time rather than numbers so everybody can go at their own pace. However, if you really want to push yourself as hard as possible, then I'd say this targets the heart and lungs more than anything, and health is what it's really all about. This is even true in the resistance classes, which you always leave with a serious pump. The weights you're using aren't as heavy as CrossFit which mostly allows for you to push yourself in a safer and higher paced manner and there's more variance in exercises and movements than Orange Theory without the concern of running injuries so while all of the big name HIIT enterprises have some advantages, I believe F45 is the best because it has the most well-rounded diverse stimulus mentally and physically and therefore has the most potentially for truly being "in-shape", healthy, functional, and athletic because you're more motivated to consistently train hard and allowed to do so while staying injury free. If I have to knock it I'd say that some of the exercises are more body building oriented (fly's and curls) than I'd like, but most are also performance based. I will also admit, if this were my only training then I'd definitely like to have heavier weights on resistance days because those end up mostly being muscle endurance for me (which ultimately is more important than raw strength if I'm forced to choose). I'd also appreciate a little more sprinting but I know that greatly increases the injury risk so I understand the omission there. Also if there was more space, I would love to incorporate something more explosive like med ball throws and rope climbs. All in all though, considering the energy in there, the results you'll get from start to finish only sacrificing 45 minutes to make the rest of your day better, and possibly even have another little social outlet, this place is great!

For CrossFit specifically, the energy is great, and you get to learn how to do the movements correctly, but at times (mainly when I first started), I've felt a bit judged and lost. It really depends on the instructor and the time you go. Hyrox, on the other hand, is great since you're usually in groups, which makes it feel more structured and supportive. All of the peak instructors I've had have been really friendly and motivating! The owner is also very welcoming and encourages bringing friends, offering a free trial class so you can see if it's a good fit. *Workouts: Classes usually have about 10-25 people, and you can go at your own pace. I typically go 4-6 times a week, switching up which classes I take. When I first started, the workouts felt tough, but over time, they've become much more manageable (results, yay!). Personally, I'm one of the most unmotivated people when working out alone, and they do a great job of encouraging you to show up at least once a week. The classes are a mix of bodyweight exercises, weights, and cardio, so there's always variety. *Pricing: I pay $159 a month for unlimited classes (~$6.65 a class if you go 6 days a week), which also includes 24/7 access and amenities like massage chairs and saunas. When I first started, I was on the $99 plan for two classes a week, which is a good option if you're not ready to commit fully. *Overall Thoughts: Halo Fitness is a great option for anyone looking for that little extra push. If you're new to CrossFit and have the time, I'd HIGHLY recommend going a bit early and asking questions so you don't injure yourself and don't feel so lost walking around, wondering what you need for the workout and which stations aren't taken.
