I came here using a 7-day pass…read more Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the 7 days is effective as soon as the pass is emailed. Upon signing up for the 7 day pass, I received a text from Amir. Luckily, he was flexible and let me come at the end of March. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by Isaac, who was extremely friendly and informative. We went through the entire walk through, and on my 2nd visit, he went over the prices. The only thing I didn't like is that they take down all the information from our Driver's License even if it's just a trial. Since this is considered a boutique gym, the classes are the main focus and driver for memberships. They get crazy busy and packed, but are only held at certain times of the day..and not Friday evenings. The classes include (but with different names): yoga, boxing, cycling and CS4. I was only able take one class--Ride with Lauren--and WOW it was fun and vibrant! I came back another day for leg day to try out the equipment. I was very fascinated by the TechnoGym equipment--beautiful, unique machines and all in pristine condition. There were SO MANY options for upper, lower, cardio, etc. Additionally, there is a separate cross fit area, where they hold classes and it is open to members. There is a recovery section, which includes compression sleeves, cryotherapy and massage chairs, which are convenient but I believe separate from the monthly gym membership. Also, there is a spa, whcih is definitely 3rd party and not included in the monthly membership. There is 2 hour parking available in the garage, which is validated at the front desk.

This is hands down my favorite box to drop-in to around the area. My parents live ~15-minutes away…read moreso I have tried about 5 other boxes in the area and this has become my go-to when I'm in town. The coaches and other members are all very friendly. Plus the class sizes are good size, which makes for an awesome atmosphere to do your WODs. Furthermore, the coaches always offering up form techniques (which is something I really appreciate) and cheering you on.

Everyone is nice. No one is judgmental. That was the scariest part for us since we weren't in the best shape going in. The coaches were patient with our progress and always encouraged us without the slightest hint of degradation. The other classmates are also very engaging and positive. You're constantly being told "good job" and cheered on. The results we've experienced have been amazing. Going between 3-4 times a week, we've both toned up considerably and gotten a lot stronger. I lost a few inches in my waist and gained a few in my shoulders... exactly what I wanted to do. Now that we've been there this long, we can both do just about all of the exercises with no problem. However, the workouts still kick our butts. But that's what we want.

Going back to what was once a great gym has been very disappointing!…read more * Jacuzzi is consistently cold and unpleasant. * Shower water is always cold * Floors are frequently flooded with standing water * Bathrooms have leaks, strong odors, and unsanitary conditions * Broken doors and damaged toilet seats * Towels are old, discolored, and unhygienic I gave three stars only because the equipment is good and the classes are well-managed and run smoothly. I hope these issues are addressed soon. If not, I will be forced to cancel my membership.

They also have swim team after work and school hours so you are sharing a pool with toms of young kids. It's dirty in bathrooms, the sinks are always dirty, all bathroom floors are wet, and showers are covered in hair. Disgusting! their cleaning people pass over issues rather than handling. Not to mention the fact weights are always missing and we have basketball courts making it so loud your noise cancelling headphones still won't block it out. You also can't get through to equipment unless you cross behind the courts so hopefully you can catch a ball. Also pretty sure the AC doesn't work at all. The one good part is the GM there is always kind but their upper management seriously needs to fix these issues or just close the gym at this point. It's embarrassing

Trap bars, universal bars, dumbbells up to 100 pounds, sleds, tires. Open 24 hours. There are trainers available but you don't have to have one like in so many gyms. And really nice folks work out here. Down to earth folks, like Christa and Jeff.

Hear me now and believe me later. Seriously, Christa and Jeff are the founders of Breakaway Fitness. I know there's as many personal trainers in our area as there are cars sitting on the beltway at 5 p.m. What sets them apart? Both are former NCAA Division athletes and Olympians who walk the walk. If you're looking to set a new PR for the Ironman or just don't want to feel out of breath when reaching for the remote, go see them. They're right in the heart of Tysons Corner and their facilities have state of the art equipment, a massage therapist and a sauna. Extra points for being super clean. Also, I LOVE the treadmills with the built-in TV screens... takes my mind off how much longer I have to suffer. Additionally, Jeff and Christa help train a few local college teams.

I am extremely disappointed with how HOTWORX Vienna handles membership cancellations and customer…read moreconcerns. Trying to cancel my membership has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've had with any fitness studio. I spoke directly with the owner of the facility, and instead of taking accountability or assisting with my request, he repeatedly deflected responsibility by saying that "corporate" makes all the decisions. It felt like a constant game of passing the blame, which is completely unprofessional for someone in an ownership position. Additionally, they intentionally leave out certain information to get you to sign up, and once you have a card on file to pay for the membership, they charge fees and have rules that are hidden in the contract. When asking questions about these fees and membership terms, I was misinformed by multiple employees, including the owner. Furthermore, when signing up they also state you "must" buy THEIR mat and towel (which are insanely expensive, over $100) to use in the sauna, but in overhearing a guest tour during my session, another employee stated "any kind of mat and towel can be used in the sauna, even one off Amazon." I would NOT recommend HOTWORX Vienna to anyone looking for a reliable or honest fitness experience. This kind of misleading practice is disappointing and untrustworthy. Lastly, the facility itself also leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom is consistently unsanitary, and there's often visible sweat on the inside of the sauna glass doors between sessions -- which is unacceptable for a place that markets itself around health and wellness.
