I was not expecting such an intense workout session but I left there exhausted! We did everything from running laps to push ups. If you're a first timer they ask that you go in early for orientation where you fill out paperwork, pick out your gloves and learn the different punches and kicks. I recommend going for the orientation or you'll be so confused because the class is fast tempo, so I found that the orientation helped a lot. They also provide you with a free bottle of water on your first session. Keep in mind that the location is on a busy street metered parking street in Newark. You will get ticked if you're not careful. Also with the Groupon package you're given 2 weeks to complete 5 classes ( 1st class is free ) which I found to be a little tight... My fiancé and I, in our last-ditch efforts to turbocharge our workout routine, decided to check out a "Hollywood" class at F45, taking advantage of their introductory class offering. Within the first 10 minutes of class, we shared collective feelings like: "What the $&@! did we get ourselves into?!"... and, "My body doesn't move that way!"... etc., etc. But after attending a few classes a week for the last few weeks, I will 100% say that this class kicks your butt in the best way possible. Physically, I'm starting to see and feel a difference. Its forcing me to be a bit more conscious about my eating habits too (there's only so much stuff you want jiggling inside your stomach at 6am!). Instructors Shauna, JoJo and Daniel are great people and awesome coaches. The workouts are high-intensity and demanding at times, but man -- do they work you out. Using the app for scheduling is easy enough, and they just started a new checking system that makes it more integrated and streamlined. Add in some great tunes and high fives during class, and I wasn't expecting to like this place so much.
