I always come on my lunch hour to lift and never have issues getting to any piece of equipment. The have a great weight room with a large selection of machines and free weights. The equipment is older and not shiny and new, but it's all functional and safe, so who cares? The cardio selection is decent, lots of treadmills, several ellipticals, lots of bikes and a few stair masters. I can't speak to their classes, I've never taken any. The sauna is nice and hot as hell. Locker rooms are older, but again, functional. All around, this is a highly recommended facility. Speaking as a woman that frequently works out alone, I very much enjoy my time at CTF and look forward to working out now more than ever.

The Monon Community Center is amazing in so many ways. I love the variety of the gym equipment available, even though I mostly only use the ellipticals. I love the knowledgeable instructors who teach the yoga classes; some of these people have had such an impact in my life. I love the friendly people behind the counter who are supremely helpful and kind every day. This is a peaceful and clean and welcoming gym for everyone. It's a play to get healthy and stay healthy physically and mentally.

The cancellation policy. I can't visit a gym because I moved to IN from AZ. There are no gyms…read moreclose. Besides, I'm in a nursing home and cannot use their services anyway. I called the number for the East Tempe AZ location. I talked to a gentlemen, explained my circumstances and he said he could cancel my membership. This was in July of this year. He told me the cancellation was done and that I might have to pay August fees. August fees were deducted from my account. Now I'm being charged for September. I sent a message through the website with the subject of membership cancellation. I wasn't surprised that my specific issues were not addressed and got a form letter type response about how to cancel. Either you help people on the phone and you're lied to or you don't care when a person is in a nursing home and can't go cancel a membership.

Extremely unprofessional treatment!…read more I've been training calisthenics for nearly 10 years, and when my friend recently moved to Carmel, we both joined this gym so we'd have a convenient place to train together. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing due to how we were treated by the manager Josh Ryan. Last week, in the middle of our workout, a guy approached us and asked if we were training. I said yes, and he immediately told us that personal training wasn't allowed. I explained that we weren't personal training, just two friends working out together, as we've done for years. He insisted that he had been watching us and claimed that I wasn't actually working out, even though I had performed the exact same exercises as my friend, rep for rep. I even told him he could check the security footage, but he dismissed it and instead commented that I "wasn't even dressed for a workout" which was absurd, considering I was wearing joggers, a hoodie, and Vans, the same thing I always train in. Without any real explanation, he told us we had to leave immediately and weren't even allowed to finish our session. Keep in mind, we are both paying members. He did this in front of everyone in the gym, embarrassing us for no reason. When I said I would just cancel my membership since I was only paying to train with my friend, he then informed me that he couldn't cancel it because he was actually off the clock and the club wasn't currently staffed. So he kicked us out while off-duty, but I had to come back another time just to cancel my membership. The entire experience was unprofessional and unnecessary. Instead of trying to understand the situation, the manager chose to go on a power trip and ended up driving away paying members who were simply working out together. If you're looking for a supportive and welcoming gym environment, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

It's cool to see this community grow and I'll definitely be back for a class! My friend and I tried the Friday morning upper body class and I'd love to try a lower body next time. Very inclusive of age as well ranging from kids up to adults.
