The space is well equipped and the equipment is top notch! I love how everyday we did a question of the day, this was a great ice breaker. We also learned that most crossfitters are crazy....especially the ones who wake up Monday through Friday. Justin was super nice and very helpful he was the main coach. The 5:15 am class was fun and so very welcoming. The owner was very good at responding and answering all my questions. The gym peeps cheered EVERYONE on, including new drop in me. I really enjoyed this gym. The only suggestion I have is the programming. Mayhem is decent. It's not great, it's mid, in my opinion. This gym has some super fit peeps and I wonder if anyone has asked about the programming. I have been to well over 15 different CrossFit gyms. This gym is in my top 5, and I think their programming could be a tad better. Mayhem is associated with Rich Froning, so I assume it has that flex attached to the name. Lifting was 2-3 times a week, and since for whatever reason it was ordinarily two lifts it felt rushed. Followed by fast time capped workouts. However, there was a girl there who in my opinion was a bad ass! She was always off to the side doing her own thing, she only participated in class twice. I meant to ask what programming she was following, but we were too busy gabbing about our obsession with NOBULL shirts and Fleo pants:) there were 3 days where I was not impressed with the workouts. However the vibe, and the atmosphere got me up and brought me to the gym. Plus I paid 120 for 3 weeks, they had my money already so I was definitely showing up everyday. All in all this place is great and I can see why this gym is so successful. I wish I could do 4.5 stars but five means I loved it and I will be back!

My prior 15+ years at a 'globo' gym has not only shown flaws in my training regimen, but lack of knowledge altogether. I have played sports all of my life and would consider myself in above-average shape overall. My friend is a trainer at a 'globo' gym and received his credentials via an online 2-hour course (hooray!). The programming here is as close to 'tailored-for-you' as it gets, trainers are top-notch certified, and 'the box' is full of uplifting, positive people who are motivating and pushing you to reach your goals along the way. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to better their athletic performance - whether it be compete in your first marathon, try an Ironman, or just develop and maintain a more active lifestyle to get the most out of life.

However, F45 has changed my lifestyle: mentally, physically, emotionally, health, and much more. F45 is a team training environment and every workout varies (which makes it fun). I've been attending F45 for the past 6 months at least 5 times a week and my body has changed (My abs are Back) haven't seen them since high school. I honestly have so much energy now and I'm always on the move without complaining throughout the day "I'm tired." The gym is always clean the atmosphere is friendly. The trainers are always willing to help, they are motivators, and above all polite and friendly. F45 music is AMAZING! I've lost over 15lbs, my cholesterol levels dropped, and can now say I eat way healthier! (Why: because after a good workout you want to maintain your body looking great.) I'm also thankful that I've been able to make friends, which helped with my transition to State College, PA. "F45 team training, Life changing"

CrossFit Acernus is one of the best and friendliest boxes in Lebanon and surrounding areas. The…read moretrainers are all knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone that goes there is awesome and encouraging. With some other boxes around here, you're met with an elitist attitude. I won't go so far as to name names, but some of the people that go here travel from the Palmyra area because of the elitists from the other box. The facility is large and clean....don't be fooled by the exterior. The class sizes are kept to smaller groups, so you get more attention. If you can't do the WOD because of some injury or you just can't do some of the exercises, they will accommodate with alternatives. The price is really great compared to other CF boxes...starting at $10 a session. Granted, it isn't "globo-gym" priced, but you basically get a personal trainer working with you on every session. I have several friends that signed up for the YMCA when they were doing discounts for family memberships and they have gone a handful of times. So that $200 unlimited membership is probably going to cost them more in the long run and I guarantee they aren't getting a workout like we do. CrossFit itself is just amazing. You work hard, there's no doubt...it's not for everyone. I've been going here since it's grand opening last year and have seen some serious gains. I started out barely being able to do 20 consecutive squats and not a single pull-up to now deadlifting 255lbs and 10 consecutive strict pull-ups. I didn't really intend to lose any weight but I've dropped 2 waists sizes and have gained quite a bit of tone and muscle definition. Downsides? I had to buy a lot of new clothes. It's addicting so I find myself going to a WOD instead of mowing the lawn. You risk becoming a CrossFit Cult member.

Never again will I set foot in a "globo" gym. It's a waste of time. With CrossFit Acernus, I'm faster, stronger and can go longer. Every workout focuses on strength, conditioning, flexibility, coordination, and the list goes on. The trainers teach you and take you through each and every workout in a small team setting. Its not like your typical gym, its more like a family of fitness. Warning: You will be challenged but you will be in the best shape of your life!

I checked out a couple of gyms in the area, but I settled on this one due to the immediate sense of community, the programming, the space, and the coaching. I have hit huge PRs and made big strides as an athlete since joining. Buyer Beware!! They have a 3 month contract so they aren't subject to the PA Health Club Act…read more When you get to read the contract it is totally one-sided and you have no recourse if they don't provide services because what they are to provide is not really in there. They hold you to a 24 notice policy, but their employees can schedule, cancel or reschedule as they please. First appointment for nutrition was asked to be rescheduled due to snow storm on hubs surgery date, it was entered as a missed appointment. The nutritionist never had any intention of rescheduling. When I tried to ask about things the trainer referred to nutritionist and nutritionist referred back to trainer. Owner only addresses issue of contract which says they can do that. They refuse to make it right or let you out of the contract. Their Better Business rating is a D+ mostly cause they don't respond to them. Then you see the owner is a consultant for a firm that helps gym owners scam people like this. $3k 3 month contracts no wonder she doesn't have to work. DO NOT JOIN A GYM!! The PA Attorney General has a whole lot of info about scams like this.
