My wedding is coming up on May 3 and Cortney has done a fantastic job so far. She is patient when I ask questions and available via email for anything that comes up between our sessions from technique to nutrition. My trouble spot was not on my body, it was with my motivation levels. In the past I would start a workout plan then give up two weeks later. Cortney helped me address that and has kept me motivated with weekly challenges in workouts and nutrition I started working with her with the goal to slim down and tone up for the wedding, but it's becoming a lifestyle change that I hope to keep up with even after the big day. Cortney is a wonderful person and I recommend her to anyone who's interested in a personal trainer!

Everyone is very friendly and encouraging. Obviously I wasn't in great shape coming in but the instructors (thanks, Katie!) have been so wonderful about helping with modifications when needed and encouraging me to push harder when I find something I'm good at. Class is different every day so I haven't gotten bored and I hurt after every class because I can put so much into it. I never thought I could feel like this after just an hour a couple of times per week. I feel so much stronger!!! Thank you so much for providing such a great program at such an affordable rate! I avoided many gyms because if the price but I just couldn't argue with $29/month for boot camp classes. I can't thank you enough! Looking forward to buying new clothes!!!

They have a more even ratio of bikes/ellipticals/treadmills/climbers/urgs. They have a full compliment of weight equipment. They have one room for classes. They even have a tanning bed or two. It is hardly ever so busy that you can't get a machine. But I don't love the ellipticals as much as the ones at the Y, and GHF doesn't have a pool. It's further away from town, but my main complaint is the expense. For the amount that my mother payed for a full family membership, including classes and pool use at the Y, you only get a single membership with classes and gym use. The class fees and gym fees are separate. I find that annoying. However, I will cough up 5$ to use the gym on the days I see my trainer. I figure, if I'm in town anyway, might as well try to see her once to make up for the debauchery I probably engaged in the night before.

There has not been a manager in years. This location is usually well attended, but almost all members agree it has become a low level club. I guess as long as members don't complain nothing will change. Compare it to Mechanicsburg the whole atmosphere spells high level club i.e. cleanliness, working/new equipment not leftovers from other locations. I don't understand why Planet fitness let this location to be so rundown? No one ever responds to reviews in any serious manner. I also blame the members for allowing Planet Fitness HQ to treat its 1186 Walnut Bottom Carlisle location members so poorly. What a disgrace from what was a few years ago to what the club is now. PF will go on doing what they are doing as long as we - the members -- allow them to treat us like that.
