I really liked Mike from the estimate visit because he was very straightforward (while others seemed to use showy scare tactics). The estimate was black and white- a quantitative, itemized count of what would need to be done and how much each one cost. Shocked to say that we actually saved $2k off the final bill because a few circuits ended up not needing to be done Everything was very well-organized. Colleen coordinated with us in advance on timing, permits, etc. and I can't say enough about how great Mike and his team were. They were here for 2 weeks. We knew what to expect each day - who was coming, at what time, what they were doing. My husband and I both work from home and we have 2 dogs so thought it would maybe be chaotic. But it went so smoothly. The team was very punctual, professional (covering the floors and cleaning up after themselves) and friendly but so respectful, with hardly any impact on our work from home schedules. They went out of there way to minimize damage to our walls e.g., they routed wires from the basement to the second floor via an old floor to ceiling built in in the cabinet, so it's not even visible. There were not nearly as many holes as I expected overall, and they patched them well enough that I was able to just take care of the sanding and painting myself vs. hiring someone professionally. He showed me the plastic he got for the job sitting inside his truck. He claims there was no wind so he didn't think he needed it. Said he knocked on my door but I wasn't home, so he thought it was OK to not use the plastic covers. Yet he didn't call or text me to check if I was OK with that. Why??? Because he knew I would not be! I spent an extensive amount of time discussing with him my concern about my garden's safety and about any chemicals getting on them. This is food I grow to eat, and do it so that I have no chemicals touching them. I also made it clear to him that he won the job due to the fact that he was going to cover those plants.
