We haven't been back to Cross Culture for sometime and since we were in the peddler's Village area we thought we were returned for a nice Indian meal. You agreed immediately upon arrival shown to our reserves table water and then use for a ride over we had a short exchange in terms of food options with a server that opened up with an order of the chicken Samosa which was an order of three pieces is as expected in terms of taste quality good texture not too greasy. For our main we shared the chicken Cashmere, which is the first time for us and was a very nice dish with the accent of the vegetable of the accent of added cut up vegetables of the raisins. We also had an order of the lamb Rogan, the lamb meat was nice and tender. For both dishes we had a spice level of five which was a nice little kick of flavor and we dunked afterwards with an order of garlic naan. See my pics. read more

we came here on a Saturday evening for dinner. we were seated right away and our server, Jenna, came right over to offer us glasses for our wine. Jenna was terrific and gave us good suggestions. we ordered the salmon tandoori and onion naan bread to start. They were both delicious. the salmon was cooked to perfection. For dinner we had shrimp Tikka Masala and also Lamb Korma. It could have been the best lamb we ever had. The shrimp were delicious as well. Both sauces were superb. Even the rice was wonderful. My wife and I ate here the other night. We usually eat at the Doylestown location on State St. but decided to give this location a try. The food here tasted very good just like in Doylestown. All of the food is a very good representation of Indian food. The good news is that they can customize e everything to be as spicy or mild as your tastebuds prefer. The service was great and the server was very attentive. There really is nothing but good things to say. The atmosphere was nice as well. This is a BYOB which is also a plus. Stopped here on our way home from a road trip as we were hungry for Indian, and Cross Culture didn't disappoint. The Chicken Tikka was amazing with tender chicken, a rich, deep sauce and you could still taste the herbs. The veg Samosa was not bland, and the shrimp Tandoori was warm and spicy. I'm not sure what to make of the fact that there were no Indians in the kitchen of Cross Culture Indian Restaurant in Buckingham, PA. The menu was more limited than many I've seen, and the dishes themselves while decent, lacked some of the dynamism I associate with quality curry and other colorfully spiced South Asian cuisine. We ordered their Veggie Samosa and Tomato Soup appetizers, Chicken Cashmere, Veggie Navaratan Korma as entrees and Garlic Naan for sopping up the anticipated creamy reductions. They were a mixed bag. The Tomato Soup was disappointingly bland, and we decided to bring it all home to doctor it to a better place. The Samosas had a good crunchy shell, but the potato/pea contents was dry with little tongue tickle. The Cashmere was the best of the bunch - pleasantly creamy sauce sweetened by the cashew and raisins and tender dark chicken. The Korma was also quite good, but the sauce was too similar to the Cashmere and needed a bit more curry heat to make it distinguishable from its sibling. Where was the tumeric and chili? Finally, the Naan was hot and oily as it should be, and quickly gone as we enjoyed spooning up the sauces as our dessert. Service was warm and efficient by one of the owners. She seemed to appreciate our presence in the days before restaurants were closed to protect from the COVID-19 crisis. We all suspected that moment to arrive soon, so in some ways we expected and acknowledged that this might well be our last meal out for the foreseeable future. So far after eating about 10 different main courses, this place is 10 for 10 versus the same dishes i had at all the other Indian places I've eaten at across the world. What makes this place special is the food is light, after you eat, you still fell good. Many other places serving the same type of food (Tiffin) when you are through eating, you feel like a tire iron is now in your stomach. Not this place, food is light. For people you like chicken dishes, this place chicken is tap your fork on it falls apart tender. Hostess was very friendly, very warm and welcoming. Any question on the menu she knows instantly. Have a dietary issue, they will tell you what the dish is made of (for example: one person had a low salt diet and another was lactose intolerant). We aren't the most adventurous eaters -- palak paneer, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, paratha (so chewy!) maybe some pakora. It's always all packed with flavor and super fresh. I really couldn't even give this one star. Went with another couple. We enjoy fine food together. They apparently were short staffed. I can understand that, but there was no apology or concern that we waited 45 minutes before finally getting up from the table and leaving. We got served water for 3 of 4 of us. Another waitstaff came and said they would bring wine glasses. 15 minutes later they came .(not to be knit picking but they were more like huge water glasses) Now, had they said we are terribly sorry, we had staff call out; some excuse, but nothing. No apologies, no breads or chips on table to keep you till they could get to you. We watched two other couples get up and leave. The little waitress had no one to clear tables that had clearly been there for some time before we arrived . They then accepted a group of 8 and they hadn't even come for our order. We were hoping to find the restaurant deserving of the 4+ stars as shown, but sadly this was not the case. The chicken curry really turned out to be tomato, green pepper, and onion curry. The dish had only four small pieces of chicken. Asked for goat barrani (sp?) and had to settle for lamb. I'm probably one of the most frequent customers here. I've tried many of the dishes here, I tend to favor the meats in curry sauces vs. the tandoori items, but I have to say that the Salmon tandoori is one of the best I've had. It doesn't get served dried out, and the flavors are amazing! The brunch on the weekends serves up a really tasty variety of food, they provide lentils, and two additional curry dishes, as well as some naan. It is a great deal and always very good, and a good choice to sample the variety. I also highly recommend the chicken biryani, great taste and very flavorful, and no fatty chicken pieces. read more
