We have used this facility a couple of times. Twice for our cat, and once for our dog. The…read morecages/kennels are always clean. Our cat enjoys the climbing tree and sunny window in the cat area. While the dog (who is a large, outside-only animal) had no problem with the outdoor kennel she was kept in. When we called to let her know we were coming to pick up our animals, she was kind enough to inform us of a couple of things that we needed to be aware of... For one thing, our dog, of all times, went in heat. Also, since our dog is used to sleeping on dirt or grass, she was favoring her left hip (probably because she was sleeping on the concrete.) We got her home, and, after a few minutes, she was running around like normal. That was our fault for not remembering to bring her doggie pillow to sleep on. It was also our choice to provide cat and dog food for our pets. We wanted to make their transition/stay as easy as possible. There was no problem with us doing this, and they were fed as we directed. We will certainly use this facility if we ever have to board our pets again!

They even shared some of their own memories about her. I could tell this was a great place from that first moment. They take great care of our dogs to the point that our dogs seemed sad to be going and are excited whenever we bring them. We don't like leaving our dogs, but when we do leave them at Holiday Kennels we know they're in great hands. I recommend this kennel to anyone looking for a great place for their pups. It isn't a fancy place but they really care for the pups and the pups truly seem to enjoy their time with them.

I used this vet clinic years ago for far longer than I should have. The vet I was seeing was…read moreafraid of one of my dogs and refused to let me bring him in - even when he was dying. I started using a different vet clinic that I loved and who treated my pets with the care and consideration they deserved. I had moved to another state and returned to find that the vet I had used before the move had retired at the end of last year, so I went on a search to find a new local vet. I discovered that all the vets at Abshier-Meuth during the time I had used them before had moved on so I decided to give them a second chance. My first visit with them was over a concern I had with one of my dogs. I felt good about that visit and decided that maybe I could use them for both of my dogs. Well, I took my other dog in last week. I requested a urinalysis because he had recently been treated for a UTI at the vet from where I had been living the last few years and I wanted to be sure it had cleared up. I also wanted to talk about allergy treatments because this dog has severe allergies and was having a serious outbreak. I got to the appointment a little early but didn't have to wait long before I was put back into an exam room. However, once there, I was there for almost three full hours! I hadn't asked for an estimate but one was brought to me anyway. In addition to the urinalysis, the estimate included blood work, medications, shampoos and other things - and that was before I ever saw the vet! I told them that I had the shampoo they were suggesting at home and that he had had labs less than two months ago and I didn't think they were needed. They insisted they had to be done and suggested the vet wouldn't see or treat my dog without me having them done - at a price of $170, so I let them run the unneeded tests. My final bill reflected the shampoo and noted that I had refused it, as if I had rejected a lifesaving surgery instead of letting them know I had the shampoo at home already. When the vet finally came into the room, she said she thought we needed to get a urinalysis done on my dog - as if that wasn't something I had asked for when I scheduled the appointment! I was charged for them using a new ultrasound machine. I had told them that they needed to get a free catch sample because he wouldn't let them use get it any other way. Her response was that they had a new ultrasound machine and they might as well use it. So I got charged for it, even though they ultimately had to get a free catch - like I told them they would. I asked for a copy of my pet's records and was provided everything but the urinalysis results. I was told his numbers were not good and that he needed to be put on a specialized prescription food as a result - but they didn't provide the results to back it up. I was sent an email with a link to order the food so I emailed them back and said I needed to have a copy of the urinalysis results. I got no response. I followed up today and the receptionist - Kimberly Montgomery - responded that they had sent them. When I said they weren't received, she responded that I needed to check my email, as if I hadn't done that already. It took several emails before she finally sent me the results - which have no range for anything and do not indicate any measurement is high or low, I did look up the thing the vet had mentioned and it is off but the report does not reflect that - but was very snarky and unprofessional in doing so. I pointed out that she is the first impression anyone gets of the clinic and should be mindful that we have choices where we can take our pets. Her response was to offer to send me my pets' full records. So, a lot of years have passed since I've taken a pet to Abshier-Meuth but it would appear it hasn't been nearly long enough. If you want to waste your time, pay way more than you need to for tests that weren't asked for or needed, and don't care about the quality of care or professionalism of the staff, you can try out Abshier-Meuth. As for me, I will be taking my pets somewhere else.

No they are absolutely horrible!! I took my Shih Tzu in to get groomed today, got a phone call that…read moremy babies eyeball was popping out. When I got there the groomer a very nice young lady was trying to explain to me what had happened, but the owner would not allow her to talk he continue to over talk her the entire time he was rude and disregarded the pain that my dog was in. I told him I was not interested in hearing what he had to say that I wanted to hear what she had to say so I could find out what exactly happened so I could tell the vet. I was so upset! He tells me you can't sue us because we have a written agreement. When I asked for a copy of the written agreement the young lady very nice went to make me a copy and he's like no don't give it to her give it to me yanking it out of her hands. WHAT A DOG IS HURTING AND THATS WHAT YOUR THINKING ABOUT!!! At that point I not only was upset but then I got angry and explain to him my attorney would be contacting him!!! Only then did he give me the copy. There was no caring, no compassion, no I'm sorry that your dogs in pain nothing!!! When I got there she was still tied to the table shaking with her eye halfway popped out. He claims to be the owner if you're the owner you should have so much love in your heart for animals. Especially for one that eyeball is halfway popped out!!! Someone that claims to love animals you would think would be in tears even if its not there dog. He is definitely a terrible human being!!! He told me I'm lucky that I'm getting her a free haircut and that I was not welcome back there. Really as if I would bring my dog back to a place where the owner has no compassion for a dog!!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMALS HERE!!!

**dog training review**…read more We take our 3 dogs to the vet next door and they recommended that we call this place for some training on our puppy. Our puppy Samantha is very "dog reactive" to our other 2 dogs in the household. Immediately when I call I was offered an evaluation ( 30 mins for free ) which I thought was nice! I went for the evaluation and came to an understanding that this could totally be a place that could help us correct behaviors and introduce us to some new obedience training and brush up on things we have fallen behind on. My fiancé and I arrived for a 1 hour long session and it went fantastically. Wayne was awesome! He took us through all the ins and out and explained the reason behind why we should be training the way he is teaching us. We have a lot of homework to do! But we are so excited that this has given the opportunity to our dogs to coexist more peacefully with each other through very vigorous training techniques he is teaching us! We are really happy we came here! Thank you for being so straight to the point and adamant about we need to be with our dogs. It's going to make a world of difference in our lives! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for training!

I understood. I asked about how much the service would be for the appointment told me they couldn't tell me but price may have gone up so I asked if I would be refunded the amount if the service was more than I could afford. She proceeded to tell me then I can just refund you your money and place a note that you could not return. It was a simple question and if people can't afford services then you should be able to answer if the money would be returned. I wouldn't recommend this place simply because of lack of understanding and professionalism.
