The lake and beach is gorgeous. We kayaked, rented a pontoon boat from the campground for an afternoon (very reasonably priced) saw loon & a bald eagle. The campsite was a bit small (Site 113. 30ft trailer 1 slide) but we don't spend much time at the site so that was fine & not a prerequisite for us. Most sites were decent size. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The snack shack( great fried dough), beach house, camp store were all very updated. Very nice horse shoe pits, bocce, playground & field if you have kids. The tent sites on the water were gorgeous with their platforms. A lot of seasonal campers who seem very friendly. Lots of golf carts around but relatively quiet. Lots to do in surrounding area as well. Only downs I saw was the bathroom near us was bit outdated but not unclean, (we use the RV anyways) and the WiFi was spotty and slow. But you're on vacation right? Already looked into booking for next year for a longer stay. Definitely recommend.

We had a good experience at Naples KOA and all of the comments about the owners and staff are very…read moretrue -- they seek to genuinely want you to enjoy your time camping and they do whatever they can to make that happen. From guiding you down to your site and assisting with directing your back in to delivering firewood when you order it, service is obviously important to the team. They have added on to the campsite providing some nice new bath houses and a brand new dog park area. The campground seems to be heavily populated with seasonal campers and they provide some good support for this with areas for boat parking and other services like bulk wood pricing. When we camp, we tend to cook on our site and explore the area, as we are weekend transients versus seasonal guests. As a result, we don't take advantage of a lot of the amenities on site -- rarely use the pool, not likely to join the rec hall activities, etc. This campground offered a number of those things and they seemed well received. Our campfire and the stargazing are things we enjoy. A+ on the night sights -- no noise pollution to dampen the experience so we saw plenty, including some shooting stars. The only two things I would say that come across as constructive feedback are around the fire pit itself and the new campsites. They expanded recently and so you basically have a ton of new site in an open field (or parking lot). The sites are well leveled, angle for easy back-in, and the services (electric, sewer, and water) are easily accessible. There is just no privacy between sites as the trees have had any time to build up yet. It isn't a huge deal because the back of one camper is facing the front of the others, but it does mean you are a bit on top of other campers. The other minor issue is the fire rings -- maybe because a lot of the population is seasonal and they don't use the campfire for cooking, there aren't cooking grates on the campfire ring. We do most meals on the fire so had to buy a wire great to put across the pit. Again, not a big deal as evidenced by the four star review, but a little thing to keep me from going with 5. Overall a nice place, great staff, and incredible location and we won't hesitate to find our way back in the future.

The ads look nothing like reality. The cabins are way smaller than other KOA deluxe cabins. There is no linens. There are no soap dispensers like other KOAs. There is no internet. The cable is spotty. The staff said they know all this. The porches on the "deluxe cabins" are so small you can barely stand on it! Our site overlaps with an RV site. 611. Can't wait to see what happens if one shows up! It's only saving grace is that it's clean. Apparently false advertising is the Naples ME motto. For what we paid I could've gotten a hotel and everything they advertise. Stay far away.

We arrived on the fourth and had to wait to check in because the owner was hosting a game with the campers. To my surprise she doesn't ID her guests when they arrive yet has them sign a waiver. The camp had a very cliquey vibe and many of the campers seemed unwelcoming and judgmental even though there is a supposed community vibe. The two bathrooms were constantly muddy and the first night we were there the bathroom had period blood on the floor. There are no cleaning materials available to guests in the bathroom other than a squeegee. The staircase leading down to the yurts and primitive sites has a giant piece of metal sticking too far out that you have to watch out for. The activities hosted by the owner seem like such a money grab considering the large amount of money guests spend to stay here. Paying five dollars per bingo card is absurd. The communal grills, griddles and kitchen tools were often dirty because the campers didn't bother to really clean up after themselves. The website claims that there will be floats available to use in the river which there weren't. The campground is very small and everyone is on top of one another. We stayed in a Yurt that was on unleveled ground and constantly would trip and stumble if we needed to get up in the night. Trinity (the owner) herself seemed to have a holier than thou attitude towards her guests. I wouldn't recommend going to this campground but I'm glad we tried it out and met some interesting people while we were there because they made our trip worthwhile.

The people I met over those 6 summers continue to be some of my closest friends and confidants. The directors take a genuine interest in campers, their parents, and the staff members. From a camper perspective: camp is incredible: you meet campers and counselors who come from around the world (literally, one of my closest camp friends grew up and lives in Spain). You spend your days swimming on the lake, singing songs, playing tennis, and learning how to live in the woods. Nighttime activities include everything from camp-wide Harry Potter-themed Olympics to shaving parties (for the teenage girls) to simply hanging out with your (super cool) counselors. You can hike Mount Washington and canoe up and down the many lakes of Maine and New Hampshire. From a counselor perspective: I was admittedly exhausted for most of the time, but it was incredibly fun and shaped my life in ways I didn't realize at the time. I now work in Corporate America, but the experiences I gained--building rapport with campers of varying ages, supervising staff, learning how to manage my time, and remembering to take time to rest--have helped me quite a bit in my "adult" life. Now in its 100th summer, Camp Arcadia is the place to be!
