The vegetables tasted slow country cooked with bacon seasoning and a little bit like a hug from your southern grandmama. The only thing that was missing was the "Have you eaten baby? Here's your glass of sweet tea!" Seriously- sooo good. Okra and green beans tasted fresh picked from the garden, creamy airy mashed potatoes. Meat portions were more than adequate. My husband said he hadn't seen me eat everything on my plate in 5 years until then! The roll seemed to be a handmade yeast roll and was the perfect way to ensure not a drop of that amazing gravy was lost! My review doesn't even address the beautiful little spot this sits on, outdoors landscapes with beautiful local stone boulders overlooking this picturesque view of the river.
