Food was super overpriced. Kids cheese pizza is $8. The Tuscan chicken sandwich with side of bagged chips I ordered $12. The taste of it all is not worth it. Service was slow. It took 45min to get our food. Ambiance was quiet. In the cracks of the table and the pillows were super dirty. Pillows smelled bad and stained. The table had food and gunk buildup. Their pizza is good and that's what we ordered. While we waited for our entree, they brought freshly baked warm yeast rolls with a light honey butter to us. The server brought us crushed red pepper flakes and some grated Parmesan along with the pizza which had an ample amount of mozzarella on it. The next time I visit, I will probably order the strawberry pecan salad as it looked really good. This eatery has a family atmosphere. It's clean and the food is fresh. Waited 15 minutes to be seated. Many tables waiting to be cleaned. Obviously short staffed. Finally ordered. I had the strawberry pecan salad! Very few pecans and strawberries but lots of lettuce. No feta cheese and when I asked they said they would bring some but never did! The Tuscan chicken was not as described, one small piece of dried tomato and two olives. Pesto had no flavor. We both ordered sweet tea but got waters half way through meal. Very disappointed. The food and service used to be so good. Get your act together again! read more

Wife "LOVED The Chicken & Pecan Salad". She said it came with toast and it was very fresh! My child got a PBJ and it came with apple sauce and frosted animal crackers which she loved! I got the Chicken Philly and it was very good and came served with Ms. Vicks Sea Salt chips. Loved the family friendly modern farmhouse atmosphere. Best place we ate in Mt. View... hands down! I love there's a new place where I can get a good salad! The best things I've tried there are the potato salad- so good and unique. But the chocolate cake is my favorite! The best chocolate icing! The issues are they are pretty slow service-wise and our waitress was not very friendly...at all. But maybe she was having a rough day. read more

We go to Mountain View quite a bit, but surprisingly have never tried this place before until our last visit. The wife, my two kids, and I decided to go their for lunch. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were extremely friendly. We ended up taking most of her suggestions and everyone of them were spot on and delicious. Will definitely be back. read more

We love this place. When we visit Mountain View it's the place for lunch. We've tried many things and they are always pretty good. The cheesecake was awesome. Wow! I am so impressed with this spot. I had the BLT sandwich and potato salad and it was so stinking good. Bread toasted just right, and good amount of mayo and bacon that was juicy that I had to eat all of it vs take it home. Staff was friendly, quick and attentive. Our table also got the spinach artichoke dip on soft toast and it was so good I wish I had their receipe. I will be back! read more

So, we go into eat, and granted there is a festival going on the square. The place was not that busy, so really not an excuse. When you come to these places, you have things to do. Easter an hour of our day. We watched everyone who walked in around us get our food, and we asked why we did not get ours. We were told our ticket dropped, so our order was not put in to the cooks. We ended up having eat McDonalds, because we are taking kids swimming. Total waste of time and they are SLOW. Go to Rainbow if you can. That was our mistake!!! read more

Literally sitting here as I write this review.... We have been here for over an hour, and it took 15 minutes to get out food ordered and drinks to us. We haven't seen a waitress since.... Im pretty sure they are having to wait for the chickens to lay the eggs before they cook them. Im usually pretty excited about trying new places but this is absolutely ridiculous. I would like to go up and just cancel my order because I'm sure they haven't started it yet, but my husband won't let me. Definitely will NOT be back here and do not recommend. It's definitely a cute little place with a cute atmosphere, but the service is awful. How this place stays open I will never know. Update: Finally got our food, the kids didn't get their hash browns that comes on the plate! Had to walk up to get refills and ketchup. All for $70.... Definitely NOT worth it! read more

Beautiful rustic industrial decor. We got spinach artichoke dip, a salad and the BBQ pizza. The food was good. We came on a Friday night and they only had 2 waitresses. The poor girls were answering phones, seating people, working their tables, clearing tables, doing everything... There was a large group of 14 which took up at least half of the restaurant so they were constantly having to turn people away. This restaurant has a great potential but they definitely need more help in the front and more tables! Our food was delayed just sitting in the window and drinks were empty. We weren't in a hurry so it was okay just felt bad for the 2 girls running everything....definitely needed a manager or another employee to be out front helping. read more

My experience here yesterday was bizarre. My family and I went in for lunch some time after 11. They informed us that breakfast was no longer being served, although people were still ordering it. After waiting...and waiting...we were told that the breakfast orders were still being filled and they wouldn't start lunch till later. Okay, so finally we were able to order lunch--southwest salad, burger, chicken nuggets, soup. The salad, a sorry looking mix of lettuce, questionable chicken and grated cheese, was served without utensils. After getting met with a blank stare when asking for "set ups," I explained, "silverware," still no response, okay, can you bring me a fork? For the nuggets, we needed ketchup and were brought an empty ketchup bottle. The soup advertised as basil something accompanied by crackers or bread, turned out to be tomato, with no crackers or bread. It took way too long to get any of this, and again, when I asked when they'd be able to bring our lunch, the server just looked at me with puzzlement. I know good help is hard to find these days, and I'm generally willing to cut restaurants slack as I know it's not an easy business. However, a simple apology or explanation from the owner/manager would have gone a long way. At any rate, I would suggest skipping Bushel and a Peck, although the breakfast they kept serving looked pretty good. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how cute and quaint it was inside and more importantly by how delicious the food was. It's an old house that's been converted into a restaurant and theres seating in different rooms throughout the house. Which was really neat. Very cute and cozy decor. And the food was so good! I had an Turkey sandwich on rye that was fresh and yummy and my boyfriend had the philly. We were in mountain view for 5 days and tried out most of the restaurants while we were there and my boyfriend said his philly was the best thing he had the entire trip. One of the best philly's he's ever had actually. We both had mac and cheese as our side and it was delicious. Creamy gooey goodness! I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. Wish I had gotten the burger or sandwich, as others around us liked them. I got Friday dinner spaghetti special. Was terrible. Sauce was barely warm. The meatballs were obviously packaged, frozen meatballs, which I can live with, but one was still ice cold. I literally spat it out. After we finally got our food, half of it wasn't even there. The waitress never came to check on us not one time. we sat here without drinks for well over 30 minutes. Found this cute little place in Mountain View on a birthday getaway. The name is what drew me in initially. Apart from the sign outside and some tables on the porch, it looks like a regular house. The decor was vintage/rustic country and very quaint. The service was very friendly, fast and accommodating(a family came in with a very upset toddler and the server was happy to move us to another room. The food was wonderful. My husband ordered the Tuscan chicken sandwich and I ordered the Johnny Apple burger. As we do, we tried each other's food and ended up splitting our meals half and half. They were both so wonderful! The Johnny Apple has sliced apple, cheddar cheese and this maple Mayo that is simply scrumptious. I was a little reluctant at first, but it was outstanding. I am so glad I gave it a chance. We also ordered dessert; Lemon icebox pie and layered banana pudding, both excellent! We will definitely be back and will recommend to everyone! Don't miss out. read more
