Sales and Finance people were pretty nice, but I wish I would have sold my car on my own instead of doing a trade-in, because they only gave me $4,000 for a 2017 Kia Soul with new brakes, tires, regular oil changes, etc. Seems really low for a car that i bought for $24,000 - 6 years ago. They gave me $500 off list price as a "loyalty" reward, but it doesn't make up for the $1500 they took off my trade in because it had a scratch on the back panel. This is just a heads up. They charge you a percentage to pay for your oil change or service work when you use your credit card. It's under 3 percent , but still. I know credit card companies charge for processing the transaction from card to dealer to bank. Normally it's a cost of doing business. I would assume as a business you could not write off these charges on your taxes if the customer is paying for it but that's an IRS question. I called four other local Kia dealers and they do not charge a percentage to pay for services when paying with a credit card. I called Kia Corporate. They basically said they are independently owned and can do what they want. Service work was fine. Just FYI when using your credit card. read more

I purchased my first Kia from Mike in 2009. I came back in 2020 and he sold me my new Seltos. The service and kindness is exceptional. I really have no complaints. They don't give off the sleazy car sales vibe and are very transparent and clear with communication. Plus, they have a nice selection of vehicles. I recently went in for an oil change and gps update and was in and out in under an hour. My tech, Doug, was absolutely tremendous. Clear communication, kind, and professional. So, why the lost star? Now, take this for what it is worth, remembering that I am offering opinions and what you decide to do is totes up to you. It is still a pandemic and there are signs up all over this business that tell everyone to mask up before entering and while in the building. Doug had his mask on the entire time. He escorted me to the waiting area, which is large, and I sat at one end of it while another, what I assumed to be customer, sat maskless at the other end. He had a mask, but he was using it as a necklace. I understand why this could be a tricky situation, but the mask request was on every door to that building, so asking that gentleman to mask up or head on outside would be appropriate. Had that been it, I probably wouldn't have felt so uncomfortable. However, I then watched as several different employees walked around the building maskless. I decided it was time to head outside for my own comfort. Doug was so kind and when I told him where I would be he let me know that my car was just getting finished and we could head out there now. My lease ran out on my old Chevy and I've been in the market for a new car since July. I decided to go for a Kia since my Chevy ran like dirt. I didn't want to go back to my lease dealership since they thought I had "buyer's remorse" when my car broke down with less than 5,000 miles on it. I went to another Kia dealership where they basically told me that what I wanted wasn't possible at the price I wanted. So I promptly moved on and we found Cronin. Unfortunately the car I wanted was gone by the time we got there (completely my fault. I forgot to confirm that we were coming) so I test drove a different car. It was great and I fell in love immediately. We worked with Micheal who was very patient and helpful the whole time. He and Richard helped us figure out exactly what we need and what we don't. Both were very upfront with us about where the price was coming from and how it make the price something we could afford. This is one of the few car dealerships that don't make you feel like a piece of meat in front of hungry lions. I went into Cronin about 2.5 weeks before I purchased by new Seltos EX. I had no idea there was a new car shortage (my fault - no homework). I was met by Jeff Harper when I walked into the showroom. To cut to the chase before going into detail. The place is excellent. In December I had a 2015 Chevy Cruze that I loved but was in a high interest area and the car had 120k on it and I wanted to trade it in while I was still ahead. Originally I was looking at a 2019 Camry that I really liked but unfortunately it was gone before I had much of a chance to look into it further. After looking around on their site I managed to get into the New Car area and the last car I'd ever expect to catch my eye was a 2022 Kia Soul. I had it narrowed down to it and a Forte. After owning a sedan for years i though I'd give the "Hipster Hamster" car a shot. I loved it. Personally car dealerships make me nervous because I've been on the sharp end of the stick a few times before from dealerships I'm not going to name because I believe in karma. From just bad cars to insane interest rates. My first car was a 2001 Kia Sportage EX that was fully loaded with 150k on it. I paid $900 for the car and I got it August 2017 when we had the eclipse that year and I traded it in early summer of 2018 with almost 200K. I loved every second and every mile and every state I drove it to. I cried when that cars frame finally gave out because I knew it was reaching the end of its life. That car never stranded me. It never failed to start. It never scared me and would climb a tree with the 4x4 locked it. I was connected to that car and I know it had to be haunted and it earned the nickname of Christine except it never fixed itself unfortunately. From the 20ft hill hoping of Ohio to the sideways sand flinging of the beaches of Texas that car was probably the nicest thing I had and if I could do it over again I would every time. The quality and love for a car couldn't be matched by any cars I own. Every Kia dealership I've been to they are extremely friendly and the atmosphere is always relaxing. At no point did I ever feel forced into something or pressing into buying the Kia Soul. Michael Monroe has so much experience and was so detailed to show me how ever worked by the end of it I felt the car was to nice for me since I never thought I'd ever get a new car at 22 years old. I've put almost 1200 miles on it and I haven't even had it a month yet. I love everything about it. The power it great for the highway. The features are pretty nice for a base model. The design and size reminds me of my old Kia along with the handling as a go cart on steroids basically caffeine fueled hamsters. If they help and take care of me like they have so far I don't see me going anywhere else. It might just be a Kia but I felt like I was at a Mercedes dealership or buying a Rolls Royce with the service I was getting. I purchased a 2021 Kia Seltos in the beginning of 2021. Roughly $32k. This was the 4th Kia I have owned and the 3rd that I have purchased brand new. Previous purchases were in Arizona and I had zero complaints with my previous cars or dealerships. I cannot say the same with this experience. From the very beginning, I have had transmission problems. No problem, I thought, because I have a 10 year warranty, including the added warranty that I purchased. Wrong. I call and they say there is a recall for the transmission but it only involves some kind of software update. Great. I schedule service and they do the update. The transmission problems persist. I schedule another service because my car is, essentially, stalling in 1st gear and it's an automatic. I am concerned I may get rear ended because my car just clunks to a stop with no break lights. I take it in, again and they tell me that this is normal for a dual clutch and I just have to deal with it. I have to turn off the idle stop when I get in my car because it tries to choke while backing out of my driveway but I was still have issues with stalling. Sometimes it throws a dashboard full of codes but I was told that it does not store codes, which I don't believe is true. My most recent issue is that a plastic bag flew under my car on the freeway and sucked into my transfer case, damaging some wire under there and melting to my drive shaft. As far as I've been told, a transfer case should be enclosed. They won't cover the replacement of the wire because it was caused by a foreign object. I can understand that to a point but I'm sorry, a plastic bag should not be able to damage my car and cost me several hundred dollars! That is ridiculous! I was also sold this car with a bent windshield wiper arm and they are not covering that, either. I used to rave to friends and family about how awesome Kia's are but I no longer feel that way. If they want to lose a customer, I will take all future business and referrals elsewhere and will likely fix the car at Jeff Wyler and buy my next one from them or maybe switch to Ford or Chevy. I am considering calling the Attorney General because I don't feel a brand new car should even have these problems read more

Made appointment with service department to install a crankshaft sensor on my 2013 KIA Soul. I did my research on problem I was having. It did not show a code when it happened. When I dropped it off a nice young lady took all my info and directions to replace part. Another older woman was helping another couple and butted into our conversation and told me that was not the problem if it did not show a code making me look stupid in front of a lobby of people. As it turned out I was correct about sensor and was still charged a $150.00 Diagnostic charge and no appolgy from older woman or a call back from service manager Josh Hopkins after I left a message on his phone. MIL drove in her 2008 Kia Rondo to have the gas tank replaced at a quoted price. Issues kept coming up, which drove the price up higher, even though the initial quote was supposed to be "worst case scenario." At pickup a week later, as soon as she turned the car on, check engine light came on. Technician said it was a onboard computer update issue, updated it and engine light went away. As much as they "fixed" the car, they left the gas tank empty and provided subpar customer service. If an issue takes a week to replace, I feel as if they should make sure the car is okay before pickup. Have been in contact with upper management and hopefully will have a resolution soon. read more

I bought a 2014 Kia on December 31 2014. The salesman was very knowledgeable and professional. Making the purchase with him was very easy and comfortable. Unfortunatly that's were my satisfaction with Cronin Kia ended. Ever time I took the car for service the service manager was rude and very unprofessional leaving me with a very defensive relationship with the dealership. I had purchased the extended "bumper to bumper warrenty for $2000. that has to this day not covered one single thing. whenever I ask if the rust on the doors or leaking trunk or blowing headlights or anything else falls under the warrenty the ansewer is always "no" even before the service manager looks at it or the warrenty. I asked for a copy of the warrenty I purchased but only got selected pages, printed off the internet. The last time I took the car for an oil change and a car wash they had the car for 4 hours, with an appointment, and didn't top off any fluids or wash the car. If that was not insulting enough they didn't even Call me to tell me the car was ready for pickup, even after they said they would and double checked the contact number. This is my third and last purchase here. I will not be taking my car back there for service. I recommend everyone to think before choosing a dealership, is this the service you want and expect from a small town dealership. Rude, dishonest and unprofessional by all accounts since the sale.
