Update: I found some broken parts in the truck, Dealership Wont help to replace it, I Bugged them for 3 weeks to look into getting it fixed, only to be told its not covered under warranty. There is still a year left of factory bumper to bumper and its certified pre owned. I was told that because I got a good deal on the truck I should deal with the broken parts, it isn't my fault ford sales are down and they wanted to sell the truck. It is my fault for not catching it prior to purchase, I should have known not to trust them. I am disappointed in the care after the sale for customers and the quality of vehicles that ford produces. I'm going to reach out to ford corporate and see if there is anything they can do. I will update once that process is complete. At first the transaction was smooth, did all the negotiating on price and trade over the phone, once in the dealership process was a decent pace, it was raining out that day so it was a quick inspection for the truck I was buying, the fact it was CPO with factory warranty still on made me feel at ease. read more

SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS TERRIBLE !!! Brought my truck in for service, they had my truck just short of (3) weeks. Picked it up on a Saturday morning and brought it back Saturday evening, the main reason that I had brought it in was NEVER fixed !!! I called on the following Tuesday morning and they still have not looked at my truck, called back on Wednesday and my truck still sits in the lot and still has been looked at. They told me that they would try to get it looked at bye Friday. Every time I called they said someone would call me back but that would not be the case. So I was told that there was a problem that needed address on my truck which was the reason why I took it into the service department. I paid just under $1100 to fixe it, come to find out that was not what needed fixed. It was nothing but a simple fix of a wire that somehow got pinched giving me the problems I had. No offer whatsoever to refund the money for the unnecessary items I paid for that were not the problem. I was somewhat successful in texting although it would be hrs before I received a response. So they finally got my truck in on Thursday and was able to pick it up on that Friday. I had also paid for a front end alignment, I had to drive my truck straight to the local Tire Discounter to have it alignment done which was another $147 out of pocket. One of my biggest complaints was complete total lack of communication, I had to call them repeatedly just to know the status of my truck. They sure the hell were not about to call me to let me know anything !!!! I had went through the very same things months earlier on my Fusion, which I should've taken notice then on taking my truck to them with what I went through with that. So overall the service department is a absolute TOTAL FAILURE !!! I would not recommend that anyone take their vehicle to Cronin Ford, PERIOD !!!!!!!!!! So several weeks has gone bye and I received a letter from them, they were offering to buy my truck and get me into a new 2023 truck. Which I thought would be nice to have a new truck. Little did I know the offer on my truck was pathetic to say the least, and I was not aware of the dealership markups on their vehicles. $5k/$7k markups over the sticker price !!! Cronin Ford just keeps giving until it hurts, I WILL NEVER EVER go back to this dealership ever again for the rest of my days, EVER !!!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! DO NOT PUT DOWN A DEPOST BECAUSE IT MEANS NOTHING!!! Long post below but it entails the horrible customer service I experienced. The van I was looking for is very hard to find so I was surprised when I saw one on Cronin's website. I called and spoke to the salesperson Tony and he checked on it and said it was available and would be arriving around the beginning of November. I put a deposit down immediately and asked that he send me something that confirmed the deposit and showed that it was for that specific van. I've been looking off and on for almost 2 years and didn't want to loose it. He sent me the pic below with my name, the deposit receipt and the vehicle invoice. I received almost weekly updates from Tony while I was waiting for the original van to arrive and then on Nov. 8th, I got a text saying my van had arrived but it actually been ordered by someone else and I wasn't getting it. I called and spoke to Justin the Sales Manager and he said that they couldn't find any vans for a dealer trade but that they were still looking. For 3 weeks I waited and kept touching base to see if they had come up with anything. Not once did anyone from the dealership touch base to give me an update. I got a notice from my credit card company that the refund had been issued but not 1 call from the dealership saying they had given up on finding me one. I finally started looking on my own and within a couple of hours, I found an almost identical van to the one Cronin pulled from me. The only down side was that it was 7 hours away in Pennsylvania. After explaining the situation to that dealership and aksing if they would dealer trade, they said these vans are so hard to get that they are not doing any dealer trades on them. Not wanting to loose that one, I bought it. I then called Cronin asking what they could do for me because going to PA to pick this one up was going to cost me at least $400 in gas and a hotel, not to mention the 16 hours of driving. I talked to Justin and asked if they could pick up the delivery charge for the van and he said they couldn't. I said that I thought it was more than fair for me to ask that they give me $500 for the hassle and expense that their mistake had cost me. He said he would run it past the higher ups and get in touch with me the next morning. Next morning passes and nothing from Justin. I wait until 4:00 and then call and he says that the best he can do is a fee tank of gas if I stop by. Considering it's a 100 mile round trip and 2 hours, that is worthless to me. I asked about the $500 and he said that the GM first asked if I was a returning customer and if I was local. That should have no bearing on how they treat a customer. So beware, if your aren't local and haven't bought from them before, you are worthless to them. I asked if I could speak to the person making the decision and he said he would have him call me back in 2 minutes. 45 minutes later I called Justin back saying nobody had called me and he said that the GM would call me the next morning. The next morning comes and for the first time, someone from Cronin actually called me when they said they would. However after explaining the whole story once again, the GM said that all he was willing to do was give me a free tank of gas and $500 off my next purchase (as if I would ever consider buying anything from them). He talked about what good reviews they have any how they are a family dealership with great customer service. He said he couldn't set a precedent by giving me the $500. I said that if it happens so often that he's worried about setting a precedent about what to do when they pull a vehicle out from someone that has a deposit, they have bigger problems. Anyway, long story but hopefully you don't make the same mistake I made. STAY AWAY FROM CRONIN!!!! read more

I was recommended to Cronin Ford by two family members who have purchased there in the past year. Both were "regular" customers. They received a fair price for their trade, good financing and good customer service. I am new to the area and bought my last car out of state. I qualify for the Ford A/Z Plan discount. They refused to evaluate my trade or pre- approve my financing until we had a car price agreed upon. I then had to disclose the Employee Discount Plan. FYI: Ford reimburses dealers for any "loss" on the car. The dealer goes not lose money but does not receive typical profits as a courtesy to Ford Employees. Once I had disclosed the Employee Plan status they offered me a trade amount approximately $1500 less than KBB dealer trade-in value. I pointed that out to them and was met with dancing around the subject. In the same presentation they said that I was not approved by Ford Motor Credit and would need a 9% loan through (name removed) bank. I checked my credit approximately a month ago and was no where near the score range of having to settle for a high interest loan. I promptly told the finance manager (who never left his office and only communicated with me via paperwork through my sales person) that was unacceptable. I promptly left the dealership. Their texted "follow up" offer was an extra $400 for my trade. My understanding is that they gave 0 effort because I would not be lining their pockets. I secured my own financing for 3.67% through the same bank that they said I would "have" to use at 9%. The aforementioned bank was actually a LOWER rate than Ford Motor Credit. I will be buying my car this afternoon through a different dealership. If you can't treat the employees of the product that you sell correctly then you should not be selling their product. read more

Great experience buying a new truck last Sunday at Cronin Ford. Earlier in the day, visited my usual Ford dealership for an appointment to check on my expiring lease and look at their inventory of F-150s. initially we had a great experience with Cronin Ford, we actually bought a truck there 10 years ago. This time we bought a 2014 Dodge Ram. They go through a whole inspection with the vehicle, it was certified. Luckily we bought a 36,000 mile warranty, my husband had it in the shop 1 week after we bought it because the check engine light kept coming on. He did not even make his 1st payment yet. He had it there 4 times, each time he was given a loaner car. The last time the battery was dead, may have been the reason after all the engine light came on. Poor service after sale. Even when I noted there was a vibration problem before the sale they refuse to fix it stating must be a flat spot. I don't know when anyone buys a brand new truck off the lot and is expected to put up with the issue. It will go away eventually. They truly could care less. Won't return calls, lie about whether they rotated the tires or not. They rotated only one side and then didn't adjust the tire pressure do tires are now 73/64 on the front and 63/71 on the back. If you are going to lie then remember to readjust the pressure. read more

I had been in touch with a salesman for 2 weeks about a "recent arrival" jeep. Was told I would be given pictures/video for about a week but it was "in the shop". A week later I was finally told it was being lifted. I thought great. Asked for an update the following Friday and was told it should be there Saturday morning. Got a text midday saying it hadn't arrived yet and would be second to know with the sales guy being first. Didn't hear anything Saturday. Didn't hear anything Sunday. Emailed on Monday and got the response "so sorry! It got hear late Saturday night and sold 20 minutes later." I purchased my suv from Cronin and had a decent experience, however my experience with the service department was terrible! I had "bumps" on the driver and front passenger seats. When I took it in, I was told it would possibly take a couple of days to correct and they could get me a loaner car. There wasn't a loaner car available that day for me to leave it. I was told I would be called the next week when they had a car for me. Never called me. I called 2 weeks later and had to leave a voicemail with the guy I was dealing with. Never returned my call. I called again and the woman who answered said she was sending him an email and he would contact me by the next Monday. Never heard from anyone. I called the Greensburg Ford dealership. They got me in the next week and fixed it in 3 1/2 hours. I still have never heard back from Cronin Ford. It's been 2 months since I took it in the first time. read more
