Employees are friendly and willing to help; one even allowed me to use their non-public restroom. It was a #1 emergency! Store is clean and well lit with an average amount of space to browse. Nike, Adidas, Vans, and New Balance were once reliably stocked in sizes needed by our entire family. Now, I've noticed stock has dwindled, not to mention replaced by "other" brands like Reebok, Fila, and K Swiss. This approach is further complicated their pricing strategy. Inflation aside, we used to score those popular brands for ~$20. Now, there's less of them with nothing under $40 WITH SALES! I understand the desire to introduce more variety; however, I'd selfishly suggest NOT sacrificing the availability of more relevant/popular brands.

Shoes arranged in less than obvious wall convention. Basically, to the left of a certain point are little kids sizes while to the right was 4Y and above. Lots of industry recognized name brands: Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and Vans. Prices are high, what I'd consider mall price points; definitely well above online retailers and sale outlets. I guess they stay in business by locals' who may not have reliable transportation, internet access, or just like to buy what's in front of them regardless of the inflated markup. The employees at Running Etc will first watch you walk and then pull out of few show selections that they recommend for you. My choices to try on were a pair of Brooks, the Hoka Bondi, and the Hoka Clifton. They were all comfortable but I ultimately chose the Clifton and wow, they feel so good. My arches feel supported and my heels feel like they are nuzzled in on cuddly pillows. They feel so amazing that I want to wear them ALL THE TIME. My husband was also In recently to get fitted and he chose the Hoka Bondi. They also carry great sunglasses at reasonable prices that are perfect for runners. My son needed a pair so I sent him in for those. You can't ask for better customer service and great selection.

But you can find all sorts of chocolates, gummy candy, truffles, ice cream, and etc. At the entrance of the outlet there's other restaurant choices as well, that may be better than some of the food court options. I do like the outlet, but can't stand the parking. It gets pretty crowded and you may have to park further away. They do have a few parking spots in front that you can pay for to park closer. You scan and pay about $7. There's plenty of benches and areas to sit at and even a play area for the kids. There's a pond that you can see from the food court as well. The food court area has a massage chair area where you can pay for chair massages, and there's a cell phone accessories store inside as well. This is a nice outdoor outlet with plenty of stores to shop at. Check them out!

But soon as we stepped inside we were immediately greeted by the employee, Jimmy! He advised the deals and asked if we needed assistance looking for anything... we thanked him and began to browse... My daughter found some shoes she liked... tried them on and realized she liked one better than the other but we needed it in a larger size. Jimmy offered to see if the shoe was available in her size... and it was! We visited on a Sunday afternoon, and Jimmy advised he could order the shoe and that it would be available for pick up the next day about 2pm. Great customer service I'd say! I returned the next day about 6 pm and the shoe was ready for pick up. I had just missed Jimmy, but Lakiesha was there to check me out. She was super friendly as well and we engaged in small talk. Both visits were great! No waiting in line... no hassle... and my daughter was satisfied. The store is located in the busy Victory Crossing Shopping Center in Portsmouth. Stores in the center include: GameStop, FarmFresh, Payless, Rainbow, ABC to name a few and the Dollar Store is within walking distance. There is also a Wendy's, WaWa and Krispy Kreme nearby.
