This was our first time visiting Pigeon Forge and our first time renting with Cabins USA, and I…read morewould not recommend them to anyone who wants to actually enjoy their stay. From the start, the experience was off-putting. At check-in, the young man at the front desk was unfriendly and came across as rude. Unfortunately, things only got worse once we arrived at the cabin (Above Walden's Creek), which is in serious need of repairs and a deep cleaning. Within the first hour, we realized the cabin was far below acceptable standards. It was filthy. The shower liners had mold, the A/C was not working, the washer and dryer did not function properly, and the furniture was in poor condition. Toilets and sinks were bubbling and backing up, nails were sticking up out of the floors, and tongue-and-groove ceiling planks were popping off in at least three areas. Worst of all, there were roaches and bugs throughout the cabin. We contacted Cabins USA multiple times. While they sent people out on a couple of occasions, nothing was actually resolved. I would rather stay outdoors than ever rent another cabin from Cabins USA. Cabins USA, please do not bother contacting us, no response can undo the horrible experience we had. Update: Tori from Cabins USA followed up regarding the issues with our cabin. He was very apologetic and worked to make things right, which we appreciated.

The cabin does not provide basics so do not expect coffee packs or salt for cooking. The only items available are dining wear, everything else must be supplied by the visitor. So, for the stay, our stay was subpar. All the issues listed below were reported during the stay, but no response or corrective action was received. We left a day early and stayed near the airport for a day of comfort. Here are a few of the highlights. -The single comforter provided had visible holes, indicating poor maintenance. -Dust was present on all surfaces above five feet, suggesting that cleaning was superficial and limited to only easily reachable areas. -The washing machine operated only with hot water, limiting its functionality. -The dishwasher, while operational, had melted racks, making it impractical for proper loading and cleaning. -The pool table had tears in the fabric, rendering it unsuitable for use. -The arcade game machine's joysick only functioned intermittently and supported single-player mode only. -The jacuzzi was visibly dirty, containing unknown debris and oily residue, making it unsanitary and unusable. Now for the last is actually the biggest, security: Upon check-in, the company took a photocopy of our credit card--both front and back. In 2026, this practice is outdated and poses a significant security risk. Due to the exposure of full card details, we had to cancel and replace our credit cards immediately upon returning home. This experience fell significantly below expected standards for a rental cabin, particularly in terms of upkeep, cleanliness, guest support, and data security but yes, the mountains are nice and I enjoyed the view.

But this review is for the TERRIBLE cabin we rented from them called GOSPHEL GETAWAY. When we arrived, it was immediately apparent the A/C was not working. Called it in and the maintenance guy that showed up tried to tell me I didn't know how to operate the remote. So we lived with an inoperative A/C unit for 6 days. Wasn't too bad as the nights were cool and we were gone most of the time so we just endured it. But the cabin has issues. The hot tub was dirty to the point I didn't feel comfortable to use it and it never got above 96 degrees so it didn't matter. Too cold for a hot tub. Also, there is a leak somewhere around the sink as a puddle of water formed on the floor every time we washed the dishes. This is important, this cabin is very close to the area waste management facility so 3 of the days here, it smelled so bad outside that it would literally gag you to breath outside. I could go on with more issues but you should get the picture by now. Overall, this was a bad stay culminating from a bunch of bad experience. We will never stay here again. Pay a little more and get a cabin somewhere else. I know I will.

Holes in the futon my kids were to be sleeping on. No additional blankets for besides what was on the bed. The bed had previously been slept in. Upon arrival, we realized the code we'd be given didn't work to unlock the door. We crossed 4 states for a horrible experience. Chelsea and Rebecca are rude and condescending. They said they could argue with me because I was upset. Who wouldn't be?! Rebecca constantly interrupted and got shrill. Chelsea said she refused to compensate me. We have contacted the cabin owners and will see this through until a FULL refund is provided.

I called a couple days ahead of time to let them know what the plan was (the couple was to check in at the office then go to the cabin and the proposal setup be there waiting for them) and to see if I could get in any earlier than the check in time (which was 3 pm.) The lady was very hospitable, stating that she would write my name down and number and they would call me as soon as the cabin was ready. She said they would also tell the woman checking in that the cabin wasn't ready until they got a call from me stating that everything was ready to go (which I thought was above and beyond). Since it seemed that I may be able to get in early, I took the day off of work just so I could jump in the car and head up. I never got a call so I headed up to get there right at 3 pm so I could hurry up and set up. I get there and they state that the cabin isn't quite ready. Okay....I have a truck full, including cakes, flowers, and chocolate covered strawberries. Many things that don't need to be in the car for a long period of time. They wouldn't release the address until the cleaning company said it was ready so all I could do was wait and have my friend stall so I could get in and set up. I waited and waited and waited....finally we couldn't stall my friend any longer and they headed up. They got to the main office at 5:30 and it STILL was not ready. We didn't get the address until 6 pm. (Though this is not their fault but just to show how inconvenient this was, we took our Jeep that overheats when running idle because of a coolant issue. Because of this, I had to drive around Pigeon Forge for 2 1/2 hours so that I could keep the A/C on all of the perishables in my car) At this point all parties were driving around Pigeon Forge, waiting for this dang address...many of them had been on the road for hours and just wanted to get cleaned up and settled in. 3 hours after check in "started" we were able to get in. The place was what we signed up for but the customer service was not. They gave lame apologies the entire time but didn't seem to feel any sort of inclination to help us out. Their "apology" was letting us stay until noon on Sunday (many of us had to drive hours to get home so we left early anyways so that didn't really help us out). I have worked in customer service for almost a decade. Believe me, I tried to understand. I tried to be patient. But there is a point where enough is enough. If there is even a possibility that you could be stuck waiting for hours to check in, this should be stated beforehand. Oh and their secured trash receptacles? A joke. Its a trash can with a plastic snap lid on it. Yes it is cool to go to the mountains and see a bear...but not when you are walking from your car from the grocery store and practically walk right up on it on the porch! And then having it follow you back to your truck while you are trying not to run. The cabin itself was nice. The karaoke machine is sort of a joke but the arcade game was loved by all. You can hear the Dollywood Express and fireworks throughout the day and at night, so any veterans sensitive to loud noises may want to look elsewhere. Oh and she said yes...

We booked a rather expensive cabin for a family weekend and thought the extra money spent would ensure we had a quality place to stay, and that couldn't have been further from reality. I apologize only 28 of my 50 photos will upload. I will start out by saying we did get 100% refund but they said that it was only because they had offered us 100% refund after the deadline when we called a few weeks ago. We had read something about the dock not being accessible a few weeks prior to the vacation and it was still being advertised so we called to inquire and we were offered a refund. We didn't take the offer because of the extensive planning that had gone into this trip. The woman literally said, "we normally don't do that but I see in the notes that you had already been offered 100% so I'll go ahead and honor that". So with that said, they did make us whole financially but this isn't about that. This is about planning a vacation for a year, coordinating with our adult children and with the military to make it happen only to arrive and have extreme disappointment. This involved last minute scrambling to find another cabin large enough to accommodate, moving everything, and finding a hotel for one night for 7 people until we could get into another cabin, etc. Honestly I would not have left this review had they offered me another cabin with like accommodations with no added cost but they didn't do that. They gave us our refund and shooed us out the door to fend for ourselves. I don't want anyone else to ever have to go through an experience like this so I decided to share here on Yelp. The pictures and captions I've attached speak for themselves. Please note, the pictures on their website have to be from when this cabin was brand new. They definitely do not reflect the current condition. I didn't include everything here but this gives you an idea of how bad it was. We have stayed in this area several times over the past 18 years and we have never been disappointed until now. I'm embarrassed that I even booked with this company. They really are the slum lords of the Smokey Mountains in my opinion. What good hearted person would knowingly do this to people?!

It's not a five-star hotel or an all-inclusive resort, but for what you're paying it deserves a five-star rating! The biggest perk and money saver is the deal they have with the restaurant across the parking lot. We got two free breakfast buffets every morning of our stay at the restaurant and we utilized this every single day. We had to be at the front desk by 9:00am to get our vouchers, then we walked across the parking lot, showed the restaurant employee our vouchers for the day and were let in to the buffet. Every morning you can get eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, fruit, biscuits and gravy, donuts, cereal, and more! The location is excellent as well. It is right in the middle of the parkway with the parking lot having an entrance/exit to a backroad that allowed us to skip all the red lights and traffic on the parkway. We were 15 minutes to Gatlinburg and 15 minutes to Sevierville. The pool is huge and there is also a little pool for small children. The slide is a nice touch. I saw how much fun the younger kids were having on it so I had to try it once. The pool is also open until late at night. I believe it closed at 1:00am. This is a big perk because you might be out late doing stuff around the area, but you still get to come back and enjoy the pool. We had a hot tub in our room that we used the entire week as well. It felt amazing after a hot day of walking around Dollywood. The rooms were updated, bathroom and TV was small but we made it work. Remember you're not paying a lot to stay here. You really get a bang for your buck!

Our Two-Night mini vacation at The Grand Smokies Lodge was an overall blast! From check-in to checkout, the experience was smooth and the location couldn't be better--Right in the heart of the action! The indoor pool and waterslide were an Absolute Hit! We must have went down that thing over 20+ times!! Yes, the chlorine was a little strong, but that didn't stop us from having a splash-tastic time. The smaller pool (baby pool) only a foot deep was a lot colder than the bigger pool. ‍ The in-room jacuzzi? TOTAL Vibe. The perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring, and Fun!! The room was cozy and the bed was super comfortable. Easy to fall asleep and stay asleep. We did, upon arrival, have a couple of unexpected ant visitors around the nightstand and bathroom, but once handled, they didn't return. The game room had some cool options, sadly, only half the machines were out of order--including one of the token machines. Bit of a bummer, but still fun for a quick arcade run! We had to keep going back to the front desk and asking for our token that the machine took from us... Still fun though, and thanks to our skills we were able to win some pretty cool prizes from the crane machines during our stay. We spent $40 on the arcade and $20.00 equals 100 tokens. An average game takes 4 Tokens. Breakfast time was both a treat and a heads-up lol!! The buffet (across the street at their other building) only takes the voucher that you get from the Lodge between certain Hours, the One day. However it was packed with choices--over 4 kinds of pancakes, French toast sticks, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, cereal--you name it! Even toppings for whatever you decide to make or create. Just remember to bring your own drinks--the breakfast voucher only covers food, and drinks can cost up to $12 for just a chocolate milk and two beverages. Also our Waiter was jiffy on the spot with the coffee refills!! As for the overall Price, we found it reasonable for all the amenities and location. I mean it's right in the Heart of Pigeon!! In the breakfast building there is a cute little gift shop too! My Husbands from Israel and they had a Section dedicated To Supporting Israel! LOVE IT!! They had cute smokies and Christian products, that I enjoyed buying from... great Gift Options!! Plenty of Parking!! So much parking!! Great views from the Balcony. There is also a gym!! Overall, we had a FANTASTIC time, and while there were a few hiccups,(like the indoor pool getting shut down due to storms) the good far outweighed the bad. Would definitely recommend for families, couples, or anyone looking to have some fun in the Smokies! Thank you, so Much and we Look forward to coming back again! -Kevin and Karenza Kanevski ---------------------------------------------- My Recommendations: -Use the Breakfast Voucher but BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS!! -Check for ants in your "first entry inspection" - We found 3 in total. -Maybe spend your money at an actual arcade... we spent the money so you don't!! Haha!! -Careful with the pools of your sensitive to chlorine. We had a hard time for a minute lol. -The gift shop is pretty cool -I would strongly advise bringing a candle or some scent stuff. Someone down below us or some where near us, were smoking Marijuana, and there was a slight stench of it. Enough to give someone a slight headache. --------------------------------------------
