Charlie is a special-needs kitty that requires daily medication and a special feeding regimen. Hard to want to leave your dog with someone who can't even be polite over the phone. Wonder if he's this mouthy face to face ;) Update: it's not asking for the weight that's rude, I told you the weight, it's you being a raging asshat like I've inconvenienced your day by inquiring as to a price. You responded with more attitude than a 16 year old pubescent child told to clean their room. Go ahead and downplay it here for everyone else, you and I both know damn well EXACTLY how you acted on the phone. Apparently this isn't the first time..and you still haven't figured it out..apparently Briley C had the same problem 6 years ago seeing her review ;)

It was spotted quickly by the staff (Taylor) who took immediate action and had Belle transferred to the emergency vet. During this period, we received very regular updates from SDL as well as the emergency vet. We are very thankful for what they did for Belle and us. Their handling of this event convinced us that we have been boarding at the best place for our fur babies and plan to continue to use SDL for our future needs. Whit and Kathy Conway

Our 9 month old mini goldendoodle was just not very fun to be around in the house. He constantly…read morechased, nipped, and generally wreaked havoc, especially around my young children. After 3 weeks with Top Notch Canine, he is so much better behaved! He will go to and stay on his "place" which he seems to actually enjoy vs. being crated so that I can get things done around the house. He will sit and stay there, even outside, until I tell him to come. He can walk by other people/dogs outside without causing a huge scene. Reagan picked him up and dropped him back off at my home, which is a huge benefit. She was able to come into my house and see how he acts and talk with me about my concerns. When she dropped him back off, she was here over an hour teaching me how to give commands, walk him, and use the e-collar. Before sending him to training, I was trying to avoid using an e-collar, because I didn't understand it's purpose when used correctly. With my dog's personality, none of the ignoring bad behavior/giving him treats for good behavior worked. After Reagan trained him with the e-collar, the vast majority of the time, I only have to use the tone feature, which feels exactly like a cell phone buzzing on vibrate. It works so well to quickly get his attention and correct his behavior. He's been home from training about one month, and I've only had to use the "static" button about 5 times, this is the feature that actually gives a shock, and I've used it when he starts nipping at people to quickly let him know that it is not ok. I was also worried that doing an intense training like this would alter his personality, but he seems to have genuinely loved his time at training, and he's even scheduled to go back for boarding when we go on our next vacation. This is also a HUGE benefit. A lot of other boarding options basically leave the dog in a kennel for their stay, unless going out for a bathroom break. I know that he'll have such fun and love being in a home environment and socializing with other well-behaved dogs while we're away. I'm so glad that we made this investment and now have a dog who is so much better behaved, and getting better every day. My girls LOVE being able to sit on the couch and pet him, and he is content to sit on his "place" or just be in a room with me (I work remotely from home) during the day without causing chaos. He is obviously still a puppy and sometimes makes bad decisions, but now I feel like I have the knowledge and tools to correct him and to better enjoy having him as a member of the family.

I was told that my dog WOULD NOT be allowed in "group play" being that he is over 7 months and not neutered. I took him to the vet to get the vaccinations required to be at daycare. At first I was happy to hear that an accommodation could be made for my dog to interact with humans and get out for some potty breaks. I only needed 3 hours to take an exam. I brought in his breakfast and came back 3 hours later to get my dog. When I walked in his food was still out in the lobby.... The employee or owner (unsure) who greeted me asked who I was there to pick up. I told her my dog's name and she said "wow he hasn't been here very long. I haven't gotten a chance to meet him yet." I thought that was bizarre... then what was he doing? 2 days later I received his "report card" which included the photo I posted below. My dog was in fact in group play. Not only could he have gotten another dog pregnant... he came home with kennel cough. Another vet bill later he is okay.... But still. What on earth are they doing in there? How many other "accommodations" are they making that aren't kept?? Maybe another dog didn't need to get a bordetella vaccination and that's how mine came home with it? I don't know but a 30$ stay for 3 hours (including the price to just make an account) plus over $300 in vet bills later. I'm not happy and would never recommend this facility to someone. I truly hope no one came home with puppies because I know that is a lot more than $300. PSA if your dog stayed here on July 14, 2025 they may also have kennel cough or be pregnant.
