Do NOT bring your dog to Eddie! I repeat, do not. We brought our 1-year-old purebred German Shepherd to Eddie for a 6-week board-and-training program from May-June of 2026. Throughout the entire 6 weeks, there were no updates from him. We had to reach out ourselves just to get simple pictures of our dog. We received no videos and no real updates on his progress. Once the 6 weeks were up, he continued making excuses as to why our dog needed additional training. He also told us that he "was sick" and therefore wasn't able to properly train our dog. My husband eventually had to get involved in order for us to get our dog back. When we finally received our dog back, we were shocked. He was SEVERELY underweight and had terrible diarrhea. When I say severely underweight, I mean his rib cage was showing! We questioned Eddie about his weight, and he told us that he feeds the dogs their food while training them and that this was the reason our dog was underweight. Our dog also came home essentially the same dog we dropped off, with no noticeable improvement in his behavior or obedience training after 6 weeks. To make matters worse, Eddie told us that our dog was a Malinois, which is completely incorrect. We have a purebred German Shepherd who is AKC registered and has papers. We contacted Eddie about receiving a partial refund due to our experience, and of course, he did not want to provide one. I would strongly advise NOT going to this trainer. Based on our experience, we were extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, the condition our dog came home in, and the lack of noticeable progress after paying for a 6-week board-and-training program. I sent my dog for 6-week boarding and training and wanted one thing out of it - housebreaking my beagle so that he would not potty inside the house. The trainer did not reach out to send any updates, and only sometimes responded to my texts. Throughout the 6-week program, communication was minimal, and when we asked for updates, we mostly received simple photos of them sitting -- something they already knew how to do. When our German Shepherd came home, he looked underweight, couldn't perform basic commands like "place," and didn't seem properly trained at all. A week later, we received our Golden Retriever, Cosmo, and he had even fewer results. He could only sit, didn't respond to basic commands, and came home with a skin infection that required veterinary care. He was low energy, skipping meals, and clearly not himself. Even more concerning, our dogs -- who were never aggressive or reactive before -- did not get along after returning home and showed new behavioral issues. We trusted Eddie with our 8 month old Australian shepherd puppy and 4 year old Maltese yorkie for a 4-6 week board and train. At the initial consult, he provided lip service basically agreeing with anything we were saying including refundable deposits, visits to see our dogs, no problems with dogs fighting, feeding schedule, working on specific problems in the house/meeting strangers & kids only to find him take back his word & refuse what was agreed upon. We were in constant communication with him via text and Instagram. He sent us pictures of the dogs and videos of their progress. We SPECIFICALLY asked about the dogs condition and if they were eating their foods. Eddie said he was giving 4 cups a day to the mini Aussie and 2 cups a day to the morkie. This was clearly a lie considering their huge loss in weight. We also asked to follow up with the dogs in person, but was not given the right to do so due to HIS BUSY SCHEDULE until the fourth week of their board and train. He did not even bother to check the dogs because we were the ones who pointed out how PROMINENT THE RIB CAGES WERE & HOW IT CLEARLY LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE STARVING. Eddie was clearly surprised because he never touched the dogs. He again stated he fed them 4 cups and 2 cups, but now followed up with "it's not my fault if your dogs don't eat". We as long time dog owners understand the concept of making your dogs work for food. HOWEVER, If the health is being neglected, then it becomes ANIMAL ABUSE due to NEGLECT. He also FAILED TO COMMUNICATE this with us despite being in CONSTANT communication with him. Eddie OVERBOOKS the amount of dogs he is training. He has FIVE dogs of his own and 3-5 dogs he takes on ADDITIONALLY to board and train or private train. HE CLEARLY IS UNDERSTAFFED and will NOT provide your dog the adequate care and training they require. He leaves the dogs in crates in his garage with all the other dogs when he is not training them. With the number of dogs he is training the dogs most likely get VERY LITTLE FACE TO FACE TIME & HUMAN INTERACTION as my dogs came back with increased separation anxiety & DESPERATE for attention & love. Also the dogs came back smelling like feces/urine. DO NOT TRUST THIS TRAINER. We are experienced dog owners who only wanted the dogs to be refined in their skills because we already had a good foundation of obedience and crate training, but they somehow came out worse. He didn't even bother to give us any training after we got the dogs back or any check in to see how they were doing. i don't really know how to start this off. my new puppy bambi, i adopted her at 12 weeks from a shelter and shes just the cutest. i had two dogs previously and we had never sent them to a "professional trainer" but they were amazing dogs only a bit dog aggressive due to not having previous knowledge of socialization. so i decided that i should send her. i looked around for ones that had great reviews and were trustworthy so i decided on critical dog thinking where eddie said he was going to train her. his brother also trained my pup. i sent her around 3 months old o believe and she came back extremely food aggressive. i thought maybe it's because i just fed her in the crate and shes just growling there, but no it was outside and inside of her crate. i'm still working on it with her and she is now 6 months. i don't understand how she could be food aggressive if she was hand fed all that time. shes gotten so much better recently but its still a long process. i'm 17 and i spent 1k on her training which i saved up for, and it took a good while to do that. its upsetting to get her back like this when she shouldn't have even been like this. i am really regretting sending her over and i feel like she would've been a different dog if i never sent her and i feel like i've failed her. when she got back i noticed she didn't have a single thing absolutely 100% down. when she got excited she also peed everywhere. i understand she wasn't going to come back the perfect dog and there will still have to be some work done. but i just wish for the money i paid she wouldn't jump on anyone anymore which i discussed with eddie in person. we also discussed having a "leave it" command which she did not learn or have once she came back. i was under the impression she was going to be trained well due to eddie saying that she was doing amazing. the only thing she partially knew was "down". i did message eddie about my concerns and he did respond and ask to take her back but honestly i don't think i trust him again to take my dog if she came back like this?? so i declined the offer and i wanted a refund or at least my deposit back and he didn't respond after that. i read countless reviews about how their dogs are much better and i'm glad but that was just not my experience. i'm not sure if anyone else has had this experience with these people but this was mine and i'm hoping to get some compensation. i truly am just disappointed. the video below is the day we got her back and the pictures are from this week ^-^ read more

I highly recommend Eddie and Critical Thinking Dog Services!! I recently adopted an 8 week old GSD puppy (Apollo) and my resident 4 year old Rat Terrier mix (Jar Jar) was NOT happy about it. He was bullying the puppy and I knew this could become a very big problem very quickly. Eddie agreed to help us and I am a very satisfied customer. We found Eddie through Instagram and decided to contact him about his board and train services for Ollie, our 1 year and 5 month-old cocker spaniel. Ollie had a pretty good foundation with his basic commands, however we were struggling with his leash pulling, recall, and distractibility in public - especially when there were other animals around, such as dogs or birds. After speaking with Eddie over phone during our initial contact, he answered all of our questions and we felt confident in his knowledge and expertise and decided to schedule Ollie's board and train with him for several weeks after. Note, Eddie's board and train services are highly sought after, due to his experience and expertise so reach out to him as soon as possible to get on his schedule since he gets booked pretty far in advance. From drop-off to pick-up, we were always very well informed and Eddie kept us updated on Ollie's status through videos, pictures, and text messages. During our pick-up session, we immediately saw huge improvements in Ollie's behavior. His reactivity and distractibility issues were 100% better, as well as his recall. We couldn't believe Ollie had made such a huge improvement in such a short period of time. Since arriving back at home, Ollie has been calmer and understands his boundaries. We're extremely satisfied with our decision to board and train him with Eddie. Beyond Ollie's success, my wife and I also became significantly more knowledgeable on how we can be better dog parents. We now have an additional set of tools and knowledge on how to approach our trainings with Ollie so we can continue reinforcing all that he has learned. My boyfriend and I came across Eddy on yelp . After reading all the positive reviews we decided to use his services for our new puppy . I first heard about Eddie on Instagram. I had been looking for someone to help me train my Rottweiler puppy (Canela). She was losing interest fast when I would try to train her on my own. I reached out to see if he would be able to take her in for his Board & Training program! He was very flexible with the short notice and took her in for 5 weeks!
