After reading the other reviews about Cristina's Bridal, I am not surprised anymore about the rude treatment I received during my interactions with them. I had to order my dress over the phone, and I spoke to two different saleswomen who were both extremely rude. They were nasty to me about when I was ordering the dress (telling me I was "jeopardizing the entire bridal party" by order late - even though we had over six months before the wedding). The saleswoman also tried to convince me to order a size 18, even though I knew a size 16 would fit. A size 18 would have been $40 for extra shipping and who knows how much for alterations. I also had to pay $22 in shipping because the other dresses were going to the shop in Massachusetts but mine was being shipped to my house in New York. Well, the dress showed up less than a month after I ordered it (so much for "jeopardizing the order") and it was shipped from approximately 20 blocks away from me in New York. I am disgusted that I had to pay for that much for something to be shipped such a short distance while the other girls did not have to pay anything for their dresses to be shipped three states away. I called the shop to speak to Cristina to complain about the service and, as it turns out, she was the rudest one of all! She was extremely defensive and barely let me get a word in. She also tried to tell me that it was possible that her saleswomen were rude because they recently changed locations, though I don't see what one thing has to do with another. She was also unnecessarily sarcastic with me when I told her that the size 16 dress fit perfectly (she was "sooooo thrilled" for me that it fit) and she practically hung up on me. Obviously the customer service attitude in that shop flows from the top down. I work in client service and I know how customers are supposed to be treated and, because of that, I am completely appalled by the service at Cristina's. I would absolutely never recommend her shop to anyone at all. I hope Cristina realizes that I know a lot of people and I go to a lot of places and I plan to tell everyone I cross paths with to shop at another store that will treat me like an actual human, not just a dollar amount. read more

After searching every mall within a 20 mile radius for a dress for a black tie event, I was grabbing a coffee at Starbucks when Christina's caught my eye. I was so over shopping, but decided to give it one last shot, and I'm so glad I did! I got the most fabulous dress. All of the employees were so helpful and they pulled out dress after dress until I found the one I fell in love with! Their selection is awesome and can definitely cater to any event. I would recommend it to any bride as well, because if they were this helpful with my dress, I can only imagine the treatment for brides! read more

Rude, rude, rude!!! Do not go here unless your budget is at least $3,000 or more. The woman who helped me was very standoffish and didn't really listen to what I wanted. When I put on a dress that I fell in love with (My MOH and I were in absolute tears over this dress) she was like, "oh, this dress is $4,800," and did not seem apologetic at all. After pointing out to us which sections to avoid and which were within my budget; she blamed us for the mishap and said "Well, you should have looked at the price tags." Forgive me for trusting her guidance. I did not buy my dress here and do not recommend this shop to others unless they have an exorbitant amount to spend on a dress that you will only wear for six hours. read more

A great place to go if you want to be LIED TO, sneered at, pressured to buy, and told that you're going to miss out if you don't buy that day. I've been having a hard time finding a dress and called here since they have a large selection. I had a list of 6 dresses I wanted to try, none of which they had. The lady on the phone kept pressuring me to come in anyway and said they had a wait list so she had to know right then if I was planning on coming in. She also told me very of matter of factly that I would need at least a size 8. Well, I've tried on and been fitted for other dresses (from high end designers)... I'm a 4 or 6. They offer a "discount" if you buy that day... translation, they'll give you the trunk show price and hold it over your head for one day only and use that to pressure you to make the sale. So against my better judgement, I went. My consultant said, it's a SLOW day. Ummm... what happened to that wait list?!?!?! I tried on dress after dress and wasn't shown much that I liked at all... they didn't have things that really compared to the dresses I wanted to try. And mind you, they were Watters dresses that I had wanted to try... nothing crazy expensive and over the top. As I left the store without a dress, the owner approached me and asked if I had found anything... I said I was going to go home and think about things since I have some time (my wedding is in december). To which she repiled, "NO! You don't." (insert rather abnoxious and unfriendly tone of voice.) Yes, dresses take 6 months to come in, but with a 9 month margin, I have a few more weeks to think about things. She made it sound like I have to make a decision now. I am SO glad this was not the first shop I went to, because I probably would have gotten pressured into a sale. My opinion???? If you want high end dresses, selection, and nice people, suck it up and go to Kleinfeld's. They had a TON of dresses, friendly staff, and were able to work with me on pricing. If you want a less expensive dress and lots of selection, go to RK Bridal in NYC. DO NOT GO HERE... unless you like liars who first kiss up to you then treat you like crap if you don't buy that day. read more

I will call this..Nightmare on Main St. I want to first start out by saying that I should probably have waited a day or two longer before sitting down to write this review, at least until the puffiness from my eyes went down... I came in to get a bridesmaids dress fitted for alterations. The seamstress that was helping me was, upon first introduction, rather pleasant. I was told the alterations would run me about $80 and that I could pick up the dress on 08/28 (I dropped it off on the 12th so I was told I had plenty of time). Here is where my experience turns into a nightmare...complete with tears and disappointment. On the morning of the 28th I called Christina's to confirm my dress was ready to be picked up. I was told that it would be ready any time after 3pm. I made the trek 40 minutes in traffic up to Andover only to get there and be told that "the seamstress had a personal emergency, took the dress home with her to work on it and left it at home". The staff including Chris seemed extremely apologetic and made the comment that they would even "Come bring the dress to me if they needed to". I decided I wanted to try it on incase tweeks needed to be made so I took a half day the following day in order to drive up to the salon to pick it up. I show up and am brought downstairs to try it on. Immediately I notice a snag on the fabric and bring it to Chris' attention. She shows it to the seamstress who says she can't see it. Fine, I think to myself, maybe it was a small snag and it isn't noticeable. I felt that the strap was too tight and needed to be let out in order for the pleating of the dress to fall correctly. She agreed to take care of it for me so back to the dressing room I head. After taking the dress off and hanging it back up I gasp in horror....more snags and a STAIN! At this point I was on the verge of an anxiety attack and called the seamstress into the room to look at it. She says nothing about the stain and tells me that "the fabric is delicate and that the snags were probably already there"....The dress came from the factory and was kept in a bag, I KNOW there were no snags in it before it was altered. She takes the dress and storms back behind the curtain to what I assume is the sewing room all the while mumbling something under her breath...clearly she was not happy. After about 15 minutes the dress comes back and I try it on for the 2nd time and the strap fits better but nothing has be done about the snags or STAIN! When I come out of the fitting room, the seamstress is nowhere to be found, the place was deserted. I proceed to get dressed and head on upstairs, clearly the owner will be able to neutralize this situation. I am greeted at the desk by a LOVELY sales associate who is the only reason I would give this 1 star. I explain what the problems are and she shows Chris who instantly takes the dress downstairs to get it fixed. At this point I lost it, tears are streaming down my face and I have had enough. The sales associate was so kind and expressed her apologies. The dress comes back and the stain is gone. I am told when you put a little powder on the stain is resolves it (good tip), but again I am told that the snags happen because the dress is made of a delicate fabric. I'm sorry, but you deal with dresses that value over $5,000....I'm sure you are used to delicate fabrics. This nightmare is almost over...I promise! My dress is wrapped up and I am walked over to the counter. I am told I still have a $80 balance at which point I ask if anything can be done to reduce the amount since I had been through so much in the last two days. The LOVELY associate explains that she must ask Chris if this can be done. After some hush hush discussions I see Chris appear upset that I DARE ask for any discount and say "I will give her 20 off" as if she were doing me a favor. EXCUSE ME! Not only was this the WORST experience I have ever had with a business, but you shouldn't be making me pay anything at all seeing as my dress was damaged and was not ready on the date I was told to come pick it up. I pay the $60 and walk out just happy to be out of there! Needless to say I will NEVER step foot back into Christina's. Before this whole ordeal, I had planned to come in when it was my turn to pick out bridesmaids dresses. After this ordeal not only will I not be returning to Christina's for any future business, but I can guarantee none of my friends will either. read more

I knew the dress I wanted before I walked into the salon so It didn't take much for me to find "the one." There was some random girl overlooking my entire appointment commenting and giving her opinion and chatting with my consultant the entire time. She didn't work there. Pretty sure she was trying to scavenge new clients for her fitness business. So from the get go, there wasn't much focus on what was being done in my appointment. The sample size dress fit me everywhere but the bust area (since I'm larger on top) but was told the dress could be ordered in a "d" cup instead of the standard B. Well the person who measured me was too busy chatting with another employee to pay attention to what she was supposed to be doing. Based on my "measurements" I was told I needed to go up to a size 20... sample size was a 12. I wear a size 6/8. Surprise, surprise, that's the first size in the "plus size" range so they can nail you with an upcharge. I was mortified by their "suggestion" and instead ordered 2 sizes smaller than what they insisted I should. Well thank goodness I didn't listen to them and shame on me for not listening to my gut and going with sample size... I am swimming in this dress. And the alterations on this $3600 are now costing me $1000. What a sham. Order larger so they can nail you on alterations later. Unfortunately for them, I moved out of state and had to have my alterations done somewhere else so they didn't get to bank on the complete reconstruction of the dress. Every part of this dress needs altering. 8" taken out of the hip. 4" in the boning. The shoulder needs several inches taken out. A new neckline has to be made because of all the reconstruction. Several inches in the waist. The sleeve is pretty much double the size I need. When I called to discuss this with Cristina, she put me on hold to "find my file" and never came back on the line. I was pawned off to someone else who told me they couldn't do anything about it as I was in tears over the entire situation. Steer clear of this place. They only want your money. The entire experience was completely disappointing and now this is just the icing on top. Horrible. Unless you just feel like throwing money at the wall, I'd recommend somewhere else. read more

I have looked all over for my dress. I finally decided to book it an hour to Andover, since Cristina's seemed to have a lot of brands that I was interested in. I walked in around 1:40 for my 1:30 appointment and go rudely questioned at the door, "what are you here for?" I was then told that, with my budget (around $1000), I could look in the front room and that I might have more luck with the sample dresses. The dresses were all shoved on a rack that ran the length of the room. There were so many dresses in bags packed into that rack that my arms were aching after looking through about 1/8 of the rack. Most of the dresses I had looked through were $2500, which was way above my budget, but still less than the $3000 max that the front room had. I was given 5 or 6 dirty shower rings to mark the hangers with, but kept shocking myself on the hanger when I was reaching up to hook it on. I could barely reach the top of the hanger to hang the hook on and the plastic was definitely causing a boat load of static electricity. I finally asked the woman if they had any suggestions for finding cheaper dresses, so I didn't have to continue the laborious searching and she directed me to 2 brands, that were both too princessy for my style. Still haven't found my dress. I would definitely say this place was one of the rudest and worst dress experiences out of the 8 places I have visited. But again, if I had more money or wanted something more blingy, I may have had more luck. read more

Don't even waste your time with this bridal salon. The staff is wayyy too big for their britches, pretentious, and condescending. The seamstresses are the only kind women who know what they are doing. When you are spending significant amounts of money for not only the wedding, but the dresses alone, you want to feel comfortable and welcome. Cristina's gives you the opposite feeling. When you walk in the door you are greeted by a 'can I help you' as if to say 'what are you doing here'. The overcrowding and lack of organization does not reflect well on how their business is run. Their dresses are beautiful, it's just a shame their staff is so unprofessional. Go to Newbury St and find similar salons with amazing employees. read more

Dealing with Christina's of Andover was one of the worst experiences I've had as a bride. Unfortunately, this store carried the brand of bridesmaid dresses I wanted and had a wide selection of the dresses in a variety of sizes. While that aspect was a plus, the negatives were extensive. After treating us well during the decision process, we became second class citizens after they had our order. Problems included: 1. Loss of a bridesmaid's credit card information. I received a rude, disrespectful and accusatory phone call from Christina's claiming a bride had never paid the balance on her dress. I know for a fact that the store was wrong because I was with the bridesmaid when she called and left her credit card information. Come to find out, they lost the information which was written on a piece of scrap paper because their computers were down. This is the first instance I was accused of something that was their fault. 2. Phone calls continued after all bridesmaids had paid their final balance. I was told the bridesmaids had to come pick up their dresses ASAP because there wasn't enough storage space in their store. When I asked if the dresses needed to be picked up and then brought back for alterations they were shocked to find out, that yes indeed THEIR file did indicate all girls were having the alterations done by THEIR seamstress. So after that, the dresses could stay. Again I was yelled at for their mistake. 3. Christina's called a a bridesmaid to schedule a fitting for her dress. The said bridesmaid had already been in for her fitting. After clearing up that mistake they insisted they had to push back the pickup date of her dress to a week before the wedding because they were so busy. Interestingly enough, the rest of the bridesmaids had their fittings after this bridesmaid, and their dresses were ready first. I'm not sure who is in charge at Christina's but the poor customer service, continued mistakes, and serious lack of professionalism is unacceptable. I will never return to Christina's and would not recommend them to any of the close friends I have that are engaged, and the others who will soon become engaged. I caution all brides to carefully consider whether or not they are interested in risking the stress that comes with dealing with Christina's. If you are, be sure you order early so that when the mistakes occur, you won't be up against a looming deadline. read more

The absolute worst service I have ever experienced! I came in to purchase a bridesmaids dress for a friend's wedding, which HAD to be ordered at Cristina's, otherwise I would have gone elsewhere. The girls doing the measuring/manning the dressing rooms were rude and inattentive. The shop was not that busy, but they still had to be asked multiple times for the dresses I needed to try on. To top it off- the girl measuring me insisted that I order up by 6 sizes in order to get the dress to fit. Now, I know bridesmaids dresses often run small, but 6 sizes seemed ridiculous....she insisted that the dress might not fit otherwise and since they were custom i would have no options...and then proceeded to charge me $50 more for going up to that size! 3 months later, I pick up the dress and it is so huge the straps don't stay up on my shoulders, the waist is 13 inches too big, and is going to cost me $70+ to tailor because of the shitty seams. They ruined my dress (Mother of the groom) that I spent a lot of money, on top of the added cost for the alterations by a woman that cannot obviously fix anything. The woman cut too much of the front of the dress (chiffon) and left it like that. they charge me 300.00 for this. When I complaint that I shouldn't have to pay for their mistake, they told me that they have a waiver somewhere in the store that they are not responsible for alterations mistakes. WOW!!! Great customer service. Hey Cristina, guess what my daughter is getting married and I will never bring anybody there, not my parents, not my daughter, not her friends not her wedding party. Like previous people stated I also should have listened to the reviews. Horrible doesn't begin to describe the experience that I had here and if I could give them negative stars I would. From the moment they called to confirm my appointment to the moment we walked out, was a bad experience. They weren't only rude, but VERY snobby. The woman that was "helping" us was rude to my family and kept putting me in dresses that I specifically said were not my style. As if that wasn't bad enough I am a very modest person and my soon to be sister-in-law came in the dressing room to help me. When the woman saw that we were in there with the curtain closed she ran over and quickly came in the dressing room. She shooed my sister-in-laws hand away from the zipper and stated that only employees could help put on the dresses to avoid damage. Ok, understand...but no need to be rude about it and next time you should ask before you just walk into a dressing room when you know people are in there. After trying on a few dresses that I didn't like the woman insisted that she knew what I liked and basically said that I should stop taking advice from my family. Sorry, but I just met you, you don't know me, and you definitely don't know what I like. My family, that's known me for 26 years does....I rather they provide their opinions. Lastly, (even though I have more) this woman insisted (about 6 times) that I try on this ratty, ripped, and dirty dress because "it looks like the dress that you have in your picture". I finally said ok and when I got it on and went out to stand on the pedestal my family was shocked at how bad the condition of the dress was. The woman kept telling me to imagine what it would look like cleaned and not ripped. Ummmm last time I checked the dress that I want to buy is for my wedding, which I am only doing once....I don't want to imagine, I want to see, especially if I am paying thousands of dollars. Truly appalled by my experience at Cristina's of Andover. As a bridesmaid, I did not expect to leave the bridal salon in tears, feeling bad about myself...the bride chose the dress she liked for us, and the saleswoman forced all the bridesmaids to try on the sample. After just having a baby, I knew the sample was not going to fit me, so I declined to try it on. Well, the saleswoman insisted and FORCED me to try on the sample. I went in the dressing room, the dress did not fit, so I had to come out and announce to our party that the dress did not fit...great. Wait, it gets even better. The time came for us to be measured and the seamstress came over. She was shouting everyone's measurements across the room to the saleswoman, not only in front of the bridal party but in front of other customers who were shopping in the store! After I got measured, the saleswoman and the seamstress were trying to figure out what size to order for me, and because the dress had a low neckline, I discreetly asked if we could go one size up to make sure I had coverage on top. What the seamstress proceeded to say after that has stayed with me ever since. She had the audacity to say loudly "Oh, honey the problem is not your bust, it's your -ss" (yes, she actually said that word!). I was horrified and humiliated at this point and was ready to run out of the store. Then the sales lady added to this by saying, "by the way, your size considered plus size, so it's going to cost extra". EXTRA?? After being humiliated in the store in front of everyone. I couldn't pay my deposit fast enough, I told the bride I had to leave right away, and booked it out of there. I will NEVER do business with Cristina's of Andover again and I would not recommend anyone to do so either. read more

Cristina's is the best! I recently purchased my bridal gown for my May 2013 wedding and my experience there could not have been any better. After having been disappointed with the level of service at a different boutique, my mother and I called Cristina's on the off-chance that they might squeeze us in that day. Not only did they squeeze in the appointment, but the sales associate assisgned to us worked with us for two hours, a full hour past their closing time. Cristina's occupies several floors of a building and their bridal dress floor is absolutely flawless. It is pristine - not a speck of dust anywhere, and the dresses are beautifully displayed. There are two show rooms, one for dresses $2,000 and up and one for $2,000 and under, all organized by designer. As I had tried on dresses at a different boutique I knew sort of what I was looking for and the sales associate made it so easy to find those dresses, plus others she thought would work for me. She was very conscious of my budget and never pressured me into trying on anything more expensive than what I was comfortable with. One we had several gowns to try on, the sales associate was awesome in helping me get them on - she even managed to make gowns that were a tight squeeze look good! We had the place to ourselves and she let me twirl in the mirror as long as I needed to before making a decision. Imortant thing for an indecisive bride! In the end I chose a gorgeous Watters gown that I could not be happier with. The entire experience at Cristina's truly felt like a fairy tale. Plus we paid in full so we were given a 12.5% discount - great deal! So the bottom line is: go there!! It was definitely the bridal experience I had been looking for. read more

This place is pretty bad. I went in with what I thought was a pretty standard wedding gown budget. I was brought, with my small group of friends and family, to a really beautiful room with great lighting and nice seating. We all sat down and my rep and I started discussing my general vision for my wedding, and what i was thinking for a gown. Then we got to price. Once I confirm by budget was around 2k - maybe more, maybe less, I was swiftly brought to another more "affordable" room with crappy seats and crappy lighting. Fine. So, we move along and I state I'm looking for something simple. Not too much lace, no bling, no feathers, etc etc.... and it seemed like I was asking for the impossible! If you have a large budget, and are looking for an overly detailed, sparkly, and poofy dress this may be the place for you. If you have a realistic budget and are looking for something simple - stay away! read more

I want to start off by saying I am not sure words can even descried how amazing my visit to Cristinas Bridal really was. I went to Cristinas this last Saturday 8/29/15. I was at a bridal salon up the street where I was treated so terribly I left in tears. I was so upset because I did not make an appointment anywhere else. My Matron of Honor and my Mom knew how upset I was so they called Christans in an act of desperation. Without hesitation they fit me. I was greeted by a woman named Deborah. The moment she introduced herself I started to cry due to my frustration at the other salon. Without hesitation she calmed me down and said "we will find you the perfect dress". Deborah who is the Assistant Manger personally helped me the whole time I was there. She got to know me and details of my wedding, and started having me pull dresses. She listened and was so kind and patient. I pulled about 8 dresses and started trying them on. It was the second dress I tried on a $5,000 Amsale dress. IT WAS THE ONE!! Deborah knew as well the moment I put it on. However she still let me try on others just to be sure. She took her time with me and was so amazing. I ended up buying the Amsale dress!! I was not even supposed to go to Cristinas and even though they were very busy they still fit me in, made me feel special and took as much time as I needed. The owner came over and introduced herself, and not only made me but my entire family feel special. I cant say enough about the amazing dresses Cristinas has but also the amazing staff. Especially Deborah. She truly saved the day for me!! My mom will be going to Cristinas in November to get her mother of the bride dress. read more

I felt very pressured, and felt like I wasn't allowed to look at the price tags. My mom and bridesmaids weren't allowed to help me in the dressing room, and they felt like they were only allowed to sit still in the chairs after we pulled dresses from the racks. That's not a fun experience. My stylist actually hid the dress that my mom chose for me to try on - I couldn't believe it! When after several dresses my mom was like "did you try on the one I found yet? I didn't see it" and in my head I was like wait I don't remember even seeing it hanging in the dressing room... I wanted to keep an open mind and try several styles because it was my first time trying dresses but it was like once I said I liked lace the stylist steered me only towards dresses covered in lace. And didn't put the dress my mom picked and a bunch that my bridesmaids picked that didn't fit her idea of what I wanted. All the dresses looked the same. To be fair, they were all pretty, but none felt unique and special. The cherry on top was that my stylist called me by the wrong name and either never realized or never apologized - I'm pretty understanding so this wouldn't ever bother me on its own but on top of everything else... and since I had an appointment, my name was on the paper I filled out, AND I introduced myself when I came in... I ended up finding my dream dress later that same day at another bridal salon which was WONDERFUL - they weren't pushy and were super friendly and helpful. One nice thing was that they had mimosas, which they kindly pointed out when we walked in. But before we could have any, we were brought upstairs. And no food or drinks were allowed upstairs so we never got them. If you do go here, come early so you can drink some mimosas! But with the one hour parking out front that's probably not going to work out even if you plan for it. Oh well. read more

Note: I haven't bought my dress yet, but I've visited Cristina's once and I'm thinking of going back. I went to Cristina's Bridal 2 weekends ago, and was able to schedule an appointment easily just a few days before. When I arrived at 9:30am (which is when they open on Saturdays), there were already a few people in the store (good sign, it's popular!). As it was my first time there, someone sat down with me to take down my information and take notes on what I was looking for. When you first enter the store, there's a large and colorful selection of Mother-of-Bride and Bridesmaid dresses on the left. Straight ahead, you'll see shoes and a wall of dresses at the back. That's where the less expensive dresses are. To the right, there's a separate room of higher-end designer dresses that the salesperson explained to me started at $2500. The store is organized well by designer and also by price, so if you're not looking for an expensive dress, don't go looking in that room. I worked with Emily and she was great!!! She was really sweet, patient, and made me feel comfortable. At first, I was a little uneasy about being in a changing room with a stranger, but she was extremely professional and helped me in and out of dresses quickly (I soon realized this was the norm after visiting several over bridal shops that help you change). (I think they do this to take care of the dresses so people don't step all over them or leave them on the floor as they change in and out of them). I started with a selection of 7 dresses and got to try on as many as I wanted after that. Emily never rushed me or questioned me or pushed anything on me. I really appreciated her help and her nice comments (who doesn't like a little flattery? =)) After getting a feel for what I liked, she brought in more dresses that fit my style. She seemed to know the dresses really well, and would point out which were her favorites. While I didn't find anything that day, I still really appreciated their service and the selection of dresses and designers that they had. One thing to note: You receive a 15% discount if you decide to purchase a dress on your first visit if you pay in full. You receive a 10% discount if you decide to purchase a dress on your first visit if you pay half the price. Also, you can save on tax if you ship out of state. You just have to pay for shipping! I found a dress I REALLY like and I'm considering going back to Cristina's to have them measure me and order the dress for me, since they are one of 2 stores that carry the designer (Christos) in Massachusetts. Another random note: This was my first time visiting Andover, so I parked at a metered lot. Bring quarters if you don't know where to look for parking and need to use the meters! Also know that the parking troops DO come and check the meters, at least on Saturdays. I was 3 minutes late to my car and had a parking ticket. Play it safe and put in the extra quarter! read more

I was really disappointed with my experience at Cristina's. I had heard such great things but experienced the complete opposite. I had Liz as a bridal consultant and she was so unfriendly. This was my first appointment and first time EVER trying on wedding dresses and she seemed like she could have cared less. She wasn't warm or welcoming to me or my friends/family. I felt as though she was just rushing to get me in and out of the dresses and move on to her next appointment. I am no longer recommending Cristina's as a place for bride's to go dress shopping. I ordered a belt on 12/27/14 for an August wedding and told that I would be called in 4-6 weeks when the belt came in. It's now over 6 weeks so I called Cristina's this morning wondering where my belt could be as I ordered the belt as early as I did because planning a wedding is not the only major thing going on in my life. When I called, the assistant manager answered, I gave her my information and she looked up my order only to tell me that they are expecting the belt by the end of March. I told her that I was told the belt would arrive within 4-6 weeks of the order being placed and was asked who I spoke to. I explained that I did not remember who I spoke to as I did not have my invoice in front of me so she looked it up. I was then told that the woman who placed the order would be updated regarding the shipping time. I was beginning to express my frustration and the assistant manager quickly began speaking over me and stated that because my wedding is in August I still had plenty of time and not to worry. Why everyone thinks a wedding is the only thing happening in an individual's life is beyond me. No sincere apology was ever given and nothing will be done to get my belt any sooner than "the end of March"..to say the least, I will NEVER go back to Cristina's. Reaaaaaaalllly snobby. Particurly nasty to anyone who is not a blond size 2 trophy bride. They charged me $400 for alternations on my dress that they never did. I spent my entire wedding day hitching up my gown and most of my pictures were ruined because the dress was too big. Was very excited to shop for my bridal gown at Christina's. Brought my mother, maid of honor, and bridesmaid. I will say that it is a beautiful shop, lots of space, good fitting rooms, and plenty of dress choices. HOWEVER, I was displeased with the service. The minute I said my budget was somewhere around $2,000 for a dress (I was afraid if I said less they'd kick me out! Their gowns range from $1000-$8000), I felt I did not get great treatment. The woman who helped me, though nice, was quite snobby and rushed me through trying on gowns. I must have tried on 12 gowns, but was not given a moment to just look in the mirror and see how I felt about it. I mean, c'mon, you need at least a few minutes in front of the mirror with your mother to think about/talk about a bridal gown. Also, every time my mother or moh found a gown in the shop they wanted me to try on, the sales woman would say "you have expensive taste!", or "you don't want to try that dress on......it's $5000...". I'm sorry Ms. "", but that was very rude, and you made us feel very uncomfortable. I could go on further, but I think you get the idea. If you don't mind that kind of snobby service, check out the store, they do have beautiful dresses. I for one left and will never return! I have been to a few other bridal salons and I had a better experience at the rest of them. While there were some very nice dresses here (my second favorite dress to the one I ended up buying elsewhere this same day) and dresses in the price range I was looking for, I didnt have a very "special" experience here. The woman who was helping me said I could pick x number of gowns to try on and when I wanted to go back and look at the stock, she told me I was done trying on because she would have pulled other dresses for me based on what I liked, and there wasn't anything else. I thought that was rude and if I'm going to spend thousands of dollars on a dress, you should let me try on all the dresses I would like. They also wouldnt let you take pictures, which I think is just pointless and annoying. Ultimately, this place has a nice selection, but I wouldn't go there unless you were looking for a specific dress and you knew what you wanted - you should be treated special while looking for you dress, and that wasn't the experience I had. read more

I found the dress of my dreams here. I wasn't pressured at all to buy anything, and unlike bridal stores where the consultant tells you "Oh you look beautiful in that," at Cristina's they hang back and let you decide what you like. There is a beautiful and extensive selection of elegant dresses. Prices are a huge range, but you can stay within your budget. Ask for Lorraine as a consultant - she is attentive, patient, and thoughtful. I also enjoyed the ladies had a great sense of humor and we made a few jokes along the process. I made an appt for a Saturday knowing they would be busy.. busy was an understatement. It was a circus in there! The girl that helped me was the owners daughter and was very nice and patient but the craziness was clautrophobic and the dress selection was not great. read more

I had a very bad experience @ Cristina's just recently when shopping for a 'Mother-of-the-Bride' gown! ~ The older woman who had been assisting me knew her stuff, tho I really could've used a saleswoman who was quicker w/ handing me the gowns to try on & taking them from me--(as my Hubby was waiting for me)! ~ After trying on a few dresses, the saleswoman helping me seemed to become disinterested & disappeared! ~ Maybe I was taking too long w/ trying dresses on--& going out to sitting area to show my Hubby, (as I had wanted his opinion), and I had him take pix of the Daymore ones I was very interested in buying)! ~ N.B., I had taken pix @ two other reputable bridal salons, and hadn't been given any comments to the contrary by the saleswomen at either of those shops!--In fact, one of the saleswomen at one of the bridal shops offered to take them for me--& copied down the Dress Numbers, so that I would have the ones I was interested in--should I want to simply call her back to order them! ~ So, I had also copied down the dress nos. (should I need to call Cristina's back to order one). Well, as soon as Cristina got wind of this, she rushed over to where I had just finished copying down the nos. of the last dress I had tried on, grabbed it (while huffing & puffing) & whisked it away to a hook right by the register, as if I had intentions of stealing the nos of those few dresses to order on my on!!! ~ (She really shouldn't have lowered herself in automatically assuming I'm that type of person who might do something like that to her!) This behavior turned me off so much, that I would never think of stepping foot in her store again nor would I ever recommend it to anyone else I know--who might be in the market for any of her dresses! ~ Cristina lost a potentially good customer (as I was very interested in two Daymore dresses--in particular which ran close to $1,000 each)! ~ I also had a very strong interest in an Ursula gown I had tried on there, but would've had to order it (as well as both of the others in another color to match the wedding party attire & would've been happy to order it from her--had she treated me differently--& frankly, more respectfully. I just left Christina's and would be remiss if I didn't write a review. I am a transplant to MA from CA and I don't have any friends and family to accompany me on my search for a bridal gown. I have visited three boutiques prior and they all pale in comparison to Cristina's. Upon entering I was greeted enthusiastically by the owner, her husband, their daughter, and my consultant Liz. We exchanged pleasantries and they took a vested interest in me as a person before getting to know me as a consumer. Liz was PHENOMENAL. She is extremely personable, remained mindful of my price point, kind, and very patient. Cristina's is a beautifully appointed mutli-level salon and I silently wondered if there was anything in my price point . Liz blew my mind when she showed me a gown (that I am still obsessing over) that is 60% under my budget. I did not make a purchase today because I struggle with making such a large and important purchase without mulling it over. That being said, I will GLADLY give Cristina's my business when I make my final decision within the next month or so. Their customer service and genuineness is head and shoulders above other boutiques that I have visited. I left in such a great mood. This experience was everything that I dreamed it would be but didn't expect because my previous dress shopping experiences were so blase. Please, consider Cristina's when you are deciding where to shop for your gown and your wedding party attire. read more

Honestly, words can not express the awful experience I had at Cristina's this past weekend. Prior to going, in my mind I was going to be buying my dress at Cristina's due to their large stock, and that one of my best friends got her dress there and had a wonderful experience. I arrived for my 2pm appointment and the consultant I was working with came over to me- Donna. From almost one sentence in she seemed disinterested, and I felt rushed. I was with my mother, maid of honor and aunt and no one had a good feeling about this consultant. She did ask me a few questions but was more focused on if I had looked at dresses anywhere else if I liked them and what my budget was. I felt like she was more focused on trying to gage how serious of a buyer I was going to be, not to help me look at dresses. Unfortunately for her, I was an extremely motivated buyer until she began putting her two cents in where it didn't belong. She asked us to look around and pull out dresses I wanted to try on. I told her I was open to her suggesting anything too, she did not help at all in that case. Things started to get bad when my maid of honor pulled out a dress and asked me if I liked it. The consultant decided to chime in to say that she didn't think that would look good on me and the sample dress may not fit. At that point I was all set with this woman. First of all my maid of honor was asking for my opinion not hers. Last time I checked her job was to help me look great and want and allow me to try on anything I wanted and to help guide me, not to make me feel terrible. Keep in mind I am a very average sized person, granted I am not a size 2, but I am not this 400 lb. woman that she was making me feel like. My mother also noticed her pulling dresses out of the fitting room I was in too. Last time I checked it was my choice as to what I tried on, and my decision as to how it felt and fit. My friend who got her dress at Cristina's is similar in size to me which was another reason why I had such high hopes of this shop. I also have tried on dresses at another bridal shop and had zero problems trying on dresses at all. After trying on 2 dresses I came out and told my family that I wanted to leave. After being treated that way I was not giving this place one more minute of my time let alone any of my money. It is too bad too, I really thought I was going to get my dress from them. My aunt told her that we were leaving. She asked why and we simply told her the shop was not a good fit for us. After leaving we noticed that Stephen, one of the owners was downstairs. My aunt and maid of honor went in to speak with him. He was very apologetic and did say that he would speak with her and asked for me to come back in to try on more dresses. How he thought someone would give their time or money to an establishment that treats their customers with such disrespect is beyond me. Cristina's, you lost a sale and my respect that day, and I will make sure to let as many people know as I can what a horrible experience I had. To say that you should re-evaluate who you have working for you is an understatement. read more

I had an OUTSTANDING experience at Christina's! I scheduled my first bridal appointment after work during the week with my mom, sister, niece & soon to be mother in law. We walked in (baby stroller and all) and were immediately greeted and felt very welcome! We went upstairs to the bridal showroom and felt like we were the only ones in the place. My consultant, Nancy, was just amazing. I explained what I wanted and my price range and she showed me a few dresses but encouraged me to explore :) I honestly felt like she was like my aunt or something... She was just so sweet and so helpful. Needless to say I "said yes to the dress!" and couldn't be happier with my experience. read more

I bought my wedding gown (Tara Keeley) for my June 2013 wedding at Cristina's. I had shopped around bridal shops before Cristina's, but none came close to the experience I had here. It felt like I was at Kleinfeld's or on "Say Yes to the Dress". When I went in for my appointment I was taken to the third floor and felt like I was in Heaven, it was so beautiful. I was nervous I wouldn't find a dress I would love in my price range ($2000)but I did, right away! And it really was "the dress". The only reason I didn't give Cristina's 5 stars is because when my dress came in it came with the bottom lace unattached (per Cristina's advice), when I went to get it attached by my seamstress, it was short by 3 feet! I had to bring my dress back to Cristina's to show them and have them rush order more fabric. Also, I originally looked at Cristina's seamstress for my dress, but her price literally matched what I paid for my dress, super pricey! I took it else where. read more

My sister traveled 80 miles to come to this store for a Mother-of-the-Bride dress by a designer Cristina's swears they carry. She made an appointment with a consultant, who never acknowledged my sister, and we were sloughed off to some elderly woman who refused to help us except to hang dresses we rejected back on the rack. Never once did she even attempt to find the designer because ... bingo ... they don't carry that designer really ... they can maybe order something from the company. We did ALL the work and had to pull dresses ourselves while our consultant sat at the register on her computer. The one thing I noticed, though, is that their inventory is terrible compared to the other times I've been in the store. Many "mamere" dresses and lost of cheap crepe, hardly anything on the floor except a couple of racks of "sale" dresses and a few short racks of gowns. Is this store going out of business? They sure looked and acted like it. Sorry to see you go, but with this customer service, it's probably best. read more

After very being explicit on the phone about what I wanted and needed (I am a plus size MOG) over the phone, I was assured there were many options for me to! try on. There were not! The salesperson pushed a style that had a high neck, and I know that I have a short neck and a V-neck is much more flattering. Another more senior person piped in and tried to be helpful. I tried following up with her, but she went out on maternity leave. Then I tried following up w/ Christina herself - who said we got 2 dresses in in your size that are perfect. when I pushed her to give me the style #s, so that I wouldn't waste an hr's drive - one was "old lady"; the other "hoochie momma". How insulting. My advice: if you're plus size, go elsewhere. but where is the question? read more

I recently tried on bridal gowns at Cristina's and my consultant was Kerri. First off, they over booked the appointments and did not have a room for me for the first half hour. I ended up being half naked, trying on gowns in the middle of a crowded store. When you first arrive at the store, they give you six plastic rings and ask you to place them on six gowns you like. Then the consultant will find those dresses and others similar to what you have in mind. My consultant did not listen to the description of the type of gown I wanted and kept bringing out gowns that were nothing like I had asked for. Nor did she bring the gowns I had picked out after I had asked her several times where they were. I had to go get them myself. She was extremely pushy and kept pressuring me to choose a dress that day so I could receive 10% off. I explained to her that I was not going to purchase a dress I was unsure of just to receive a discount. The entire time she kept making comments about my size, which is a street size 6, and it made me feel very uncomfortable. There was one dress that I picked out that I absolutely LOVED and she proceeded to tell me that it was not for me, again because of my size, and I should go with another dress that she had recommended, even though I plan to lose a few before the wedding. This place may carry high end designer gowns, but there service is definately low end. read more

I'm in a wedding where the rest of the bridal party is located in NYC. Christina's was one of the few places around that had the particular Watters dress we were looking for in stock, so we stopped by tonight to quickly try it on. While the woman at the desk didn't seem super friendly, Lorraine brought us right downstairs where the bridesmaids dresses are located. She pulled the particular dress we were looking for and was extremely helpful in measuring and suggesting which size would be best. I would definitely recommend the store for anyone in the market for bridal dresses! read more

I found my beautiful wedding dress at Cristina's. My consultant was very patient with me and my party of 4. Since my family couldn't be there, I was facetiming them and trying to evaluate all my options...basically I was not the easiest bride to deal with! I ended up choosing a dress that was totally not what I thought I wanted and I was so glad to have the supportive staff to help me decide. Nobody pressured me and they helped me try on lots of veils and accessories. My dress was well within my budget and I've been so happy with my decision to shop at Cristina's. Prior to coming to Cristina's, I was a little concerned about all of the grumpy reviews on here. I'm glad I didn't pay attention to them - I had a great experience and customer service!! read more

A friend had a horrible experience here. Two years after having 3 kids, an employee here told her it was going to be difficult to fit her MOH dress because she had a "weird shaped body." SHE WAS A SIZE 8. The bride had a horrible experience as well. Granted, this was a few years ago, but I believe the same owners are still around. Would stay far, far away from this place. read more
