The defunct sleeves were removed and the material was harvested from them to cover the stains on the dress, which had to be taken in several sizes as well. Melissa has such a keen, expert eye that she made sure everything was done to perfection. She could have held the dress hostage and asked for twice as much. But she did not take advantage of our emotions and gave us an extremely good price for the incredible amount of work this project entailed. When Maria came over to assist, I'd told her I liked that style dress and was hoping she had something else like it for me to try. She said "You can fit into that one no problem." I said- no way. That's nuts. Then she told me the fabric had some give and it was a size that ran more true to my actual size- so I said to myself- what have I got to lose? The dress was amazing and fit almost like a glove. I fell head over heels for it. I went and tried other on other dresses at other places, but nothing even held a candle. Maria also included my alterations in the price-- which other places did not even try to offer. I feel great about doing business with her, and I can't wait to get fitted when my dress arrives. The staff does not listen, they're very judgmental, (they don't know who we are or where we're from, for example), and their fabrics are chintzy and gaudy. Ugly! The representative ignored everything we said. They kept pushing, "you can take it up and have it tailored," while the particular dress' style wasn't made to be a shorter style. The dresses, though, were so tacky. Just the worst satin and ugliest styles. Do not bother.

The rooms are secluded to give you that private experience, lots of mirrors and lighting to give you the full effect of your dress. My stylist, Zoe, was incredible. She really took the time to listen and helped me find my dress. I loved being able to walk around the store with my bridal party to see which ones I wanted to try on. Rented 2 suits here for a funeral of all things and since Russo's has moved to Reading, I was…read moreintrigued about the setup and I had a good experience with them in the past. We went in to get fitted- we probably picked the wrong day the staff was super busy because it was wedding season! (Late June I was there of 2022). We waited as the people ahead of us were taken care of then proceeded to be fitted. I will say right off the bat I have a weird body shape- no jacket seemed to fit right- again weird body shape McGee over here. One of the other tailors freed up and took us right on back to the fitting rooms. He had me sized up in no time and in a comfy suit then went to work on fitting my stepson. After a few minutes we were looking spiffy and comfortable. I watched as rack after rack of groomsmen tuxes were bagged up and labeled ready for pickup, the tailor joked with us both about how crazy busy it was as he fitted us and generally kept us at ease. Suits rented- money paid and off we went. Here's the nice part- the shop was nice enough to let us rent the suits about a week early and when went to return them the shop was closed as the team was off for the 4th of July (well deserved after the craziness I witnessed with the weddings lol). So I called their number and left a message asking what do as I was going on vacation. Maria called me back and told me to not to worry about it and bring the suits in when I got back- there would be no late charge. Good to her word we were not charged and it was an overall great interaction with the shop. They take cash, venmo, and credit- but there is an extra fee for the credit card processing- a sign on the counter states this as well. One downside is there is not seating area in the main shop to wait- but the shop is so full of suits, and tuxes it makes sense why it's not there. Other than that- thank you Russo's for your kindness and understanding throughout the process of rental and return!

I recently had several alterations done at Bassy's Tailoring, and I can honestly say this was the…read moremost amazing tailoring experience I have ever had. Bassy hemmed several pairs of pants, took in the waist on others, and completely altered a vintage dress for me. The dress needed extra room, and she expertly removed the belt and expanded the side seams so seamlessly that you would never be able to tell any alterations were made. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are absolutely unbelievable. Bassy is truly a talented artist, and her work speaks for itself. If you need tailoring or alterations done right, I cannot recommend her enough. Absolutely exceptional work!
