Lots of real candles, burlesque pictures, and flowers made the mood cozy and sexy. The staff were wonderful. To drink, I got the lickin love with Cabernet (milk chocolate on the rim with a white chocolate drizzle). It was so fun and delicious. For my dessert, I ordered the fever, which consisted of a chocolate molten cake, two scoops of vanilla ice cream, and a chocolate decoration. It was so delicious and decadent. My girlfriends loved the carrot cake and the fourgasm (4 dessert sampler). Everything was a bit expensive, but you're paying for the expensive. My one minor complaint was that we had not been there an excessive amount of time, but as we were checking out, we were informed we needed to leave because they needed our table in 5 minutes. I did not care for that. Overall, this was a really fun experience and I'm sad we had to say goodbye.

Especially now that my son has discovered his love for ice cream as well. They're still serving up some of the best ice cream in Orlando with unique Filipino inspired flavors. Now, they also have specialty pastries and desserts. Most recently, we tried their ube cruffin and ube crookie and they were so good -- especially the cruffin. We also just tried their seasonal sweet corn specials this month and OMG... I'm still dreaming about sweet corn sundae. Layers of vanilla soft serve, Biscoff crumble, condensed milk, and toasted sweet corn, topped with honey toast and corn whipped cream. All the flavors mesh perfectly together. It's legit my new favorite dessert, and I wish it was not going away at the end of the month. But I'm sure I'll love their next seasonal special as well because they DO NOT MISS!

Either way, visiting this location really is the hack that you think it is. Since it is in the East End Market, you can simply waltz in with little to no line and order your delicious Gideon's treats. It is important to note that unfortunately they don't offer the cold brew here, however, as they don't have the facilities to make it like they do at Disney Springs. But, the cookies are just as delicious and they do always sell their limited edition cookies here in addition to their classics. It is also worth shopping around the market as well since there are many indulgences here ranging from sushi to cocktails to fun trinkets. It is best to visit at an off time though as parking can be a challenge.

I didn't realize that before ordering, so that definitely explains part of why this wasn't for me. Red velvet is usually my birthday cake, so I've tried it from quite a few places over the years. I personally prefer a softer, fluffy cake with a noticeable cocoa flavor and a tangy cream cheese frosting. Gideon's version was very different from that. The color was much more intensely red than I personally like, and I felt like I could taste the coloring. The texture of my slice also felt more wet/dense than moist and fluffy. There was plenty of frosting, but the cream cheese flavor was much more subtle than I prefer. I know this cake has a lot of fans, so I think this really comes down to style and personal preference. If you prefer a more traditional cocoa-forward red velvet with tangy cream cheese frosting, just know that this one is quite different. We ordered A2- which is a mango ice cream, coconut, with fresh pomelo and mango on top. It was delicious and I would definitely order it again. We had just had lunch about an hour before and this was a delightful and refreshing treat. The restaurant is bright and open but a closer look revealed it needed some deep cleaning. The seat I was sitting in had visible dirt on it and there was some dark long hairs on the seat. I'm not grossed out by that type of thing because if you know anyone with long hair, it just falls out. No big deal but I certainly didn't expect to see it on the seat I was sitting in. The tables and bases all need a thorough cleaning as well as other areas I noticed during our visit. I'd understand this a little more if I saw they were super busy and only had one person working, however, we were the only customers, except for two to-go orders and the one employee was sitting down on his phone when he wasn't helping a customer. As someone who has been in the restaurant industry for over 35 yrs, I am well aware of the things needed to keep a restaurant successful. Attention to detail is one of the key factors and unfortunately Mango Mango is lacking in this area. I hope they can see this review and possibly take a closer look at the cleanliness because the food is on point. Next time I'm in the area hopefully I'll see. If not, I might need to find another place to visit.

Wow. The Mango Mango Dessert of Orlando (technically Lake Buena Vista) takes the trophy for…read moretop-rated dessert place in all categories of flavor, service, and ambience for the Disney area. Seriously, you can save all your other options for a rainy day. This is the place for any occasion, date, family gathering, or plain ol' get together with friends to enjoy sweets with great company. Located off South Apopka Vineland Road on the Northbound side, Mango Mango is situated in a relatively new development and plaza (if you look at the satelite imagery from Google maps, it will still show undeveloped land as of June 2026). It's less than a 10 minute drive from the Disney Springs property, and about an 18 minute drive from Old Town/Fun Spot which is where we were staying for this particular trip coming from Tampa. As you arrive, you will find a spacious lot, however the actual parking spaces do appear limited (something to consider if you decide to have a large reunion here). Upon entering, you will find a very clean storefront and reception. Overall the store maintains a very neat and tidy appearance that is very welcoming and neutral when it comes to the varying demographics of customers. While we have been to Mango Mango before in a New Jersey location, this location provides a bit of table service (which we have not experienced prior) for dine-in which makes it a bit more intimate. The menu offers plentiful choices of sweets - from bowls with fresh fruits and ice cream, to your specialty drinks including boba. To call Mango Mango a boba shop would do it injustice, as this place truly shines as a hollistic dessert spot. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the selections. Each dish/drink is perfectly made to their own specifications. The best part is that none are overly sweet, which I feel is a crutch that most dessert spots experience. Highly recommend the mixed fresh fruit with sago and jelly! Wish this was in Tampa because this would give our usual boba spot a run for their money. This is a must have if you're in the area, so treat yourself after long hot day at the parks at Mango Mango!

First Visit to Gideon's Bakehouse…read more My first time experiencing Gideon's Bakehouse was definitely more than just stopping by for a cookie--it felt like walking into a whole different world- for real!. From the moment I approached the entrance, the dark, gothic atmosphere, vintage artwork, old books, and unique decor immediately caught my attention. This is not a traditional sit-down bakery or café, so I went in knowing the experience is more about getting the famous cookies and taking in the atmosphere, appearance and taste of the infamous cookies. There can be a little bit of a wait outside, especially when it's busy, but honestly, I found the experience to be part of the fun. Inside, everything is incredibly detailed--from the creepy-but-cool portraits and antique-style displays to the shelves filled with Gideon's memorabilia. Even the signs and artwork have their own personality. It feels almost like stepping into a haunted library with a bakery hidden inside- move over Disney's Haunted House. Ok back to the real item, of course, there are the cookies. For my first visit, I'd say the wait and the hassle were worth experiencing at least once. Gideon's is definitely more than just a place to grab a cookie--it's an experience, and the atmosphere makes it memorable. I can definitely see why people make a stop at Gideon's part of their visit. So yes go ahead make it a family stop, kids will definitely love them too!

The cookies are ok. $7 each good, no, but one can feed 4 people in my opinion. It's not super large, but it's dense and thick. They are pre-wraope To be fair, I'm not a fan of super sweet treats (no interest in crumble either and yes I was made to try it by a friend) and they only have some options in the nighttime to include some dark chocolate options. I get the theme with the shop being dark inside, but stinks for those there in the morning that want to try it. Tried coffee cake (ok. Not the best), banana bread chocolate chip (ok, not a synthetic flavor which was a plus), peanut butter chocolate chip (more chocolate than PB), and pistachio chocolate chip (maybe these best of all, since there was a counter to the sweetness). All just really heavy, novelty only. But if you love super sweet (like one of my friends), this may be what you are looking for.
