Extremely overpriced ! Charged me $1500 to install a new geothermal pump. Found out later that the previous owners paid $600 to install a new drinking water pump a few years ago through a different vendor. Shop around and save your money. read more

I was extremely impressed with the quality of the service that we received from Cribley. Within 48 hours of calling to report that we were having an issue with our water pressure (following a power outage), they sent two separate crews. The first replaced our broken water pressure tank, and the second replaced a defective valve outside. Each service was reasonably priced. Cribley installed our well when the house was built in 1987 and it has worked fine ever since until a few weeks ago. I woke up and we had no water. I called them at 8:45 AM. The crew arrived at our house at noon and replaced the well and at my request the pressure tank and the associated plumbing. They had everything in the truck. The techs, Chris and Ken, worked together like the team that I am certain they are, anticipating the other's move. They were efficient and professional. They were driving out the driveway at 2:45 PM, 6 hours after I called. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost as well. Wish there was a negative star to give this company Worst experience with a home contractor in years. They finally showed up to look at a well leak and came in my home with 2" of mud on their boots walked over off white carpet. Walked out when I raised hell. Came back days later fixed the well and while I was upstairs working came back in my house on the way out to do it all over again. They took boots off while I was there and then decide to trash my home on the way out. I get to steam clean floors for an hour again cause they think it's funny. I left a roll of bags they agreed to cover their shoes with when they returned. Never used those. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business. read more

Cribely drilled our well for our new house Aug 2001. I asked for a more hp submersible pump and larger well troll water tank for lawn sprinkler system and garden. 21 years later the submersible finally failed. Called Cribely with my bad news, the crew called me back in an hour and arrived shortly after that. Ben and Ken were great, diagnosed the problem, gave me a good estimate and we had water again in a couple hours. Wish more home repairs went this well. read more

I can't think of a better way to describe the caring this company shows, the urgency they gave to our dilemma and the professionalism they displayed every step of the way than to repeat every good thing already said on here. Our 45 year old well died on a Friday, by Thursday afternoon we had a geyser and by Friday afternoon I had the best shower I've ever taken. I interacted with 9 different employees between the office, the diagnostics, the drilling and the hook up process' and each one of them gets 100 stars from me. They made a worrisome and unexpected problem so much easier to work through. Cribley is one of those great local business's that you can trust to get the job done right and on time. Our well pump blew during an outage/icestorm, had a plumber out first that seemed to be confused about what the issue even was. Paid him his showing up fee and called Cribley as he was pulling down the driveway. This was during a time when most of the county was out of power and, the dispatcher was polite but let it be known they were slammed and it could be a couple days until we heard anything. 30 minutes later we get a call they are en route. When they arrived they looked around for a minute, diagnosed the issue, pulled our blown well pump, put in a new one, re wired everything because it was a bootleg wiring job from years ago and were gone in 2.5 hours! The guys "Jack and Owen" knew Exactly what they were talking about, explained it every step of the way and were very professional. All of dealings with Cribley over the years have been great , this one set the bar just that much higher. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. read more

They drilled my well about 15 years ago and it's been working great ever since (and I use it a lot). And they also installed a reverse-osmosis gadget and my water softener, both of which have also been working fine ever since. I found out a while ago that they will deliver water softener salt, and have been asking them to do that for me the last couple years, which has been very nice. Cribley has me stuck in limbo without water and will not return my calls. We worked over weeks to get the timing set for this project. We set a window of time that would cover the "worst case scenario" of needing a completely new well. It was clear by 10am on Monday that this was the case and yet here I remain with not only no water but a Project Manager who will not speak to me and no ETA on a completed project. read more

Terrible. They told me they don't do insurance claims after the work was done costing me over $2000 and saving the insurance company money. They complained about Trump not getting re elected half the time, then they left and left the well head off with a large pipe sticking out,my pressure relief valve now leaked which didn't leak before. I called them and they were pissed they had to come back. They then tried charging me for a relief valve that was fine until they worked on the well. The water pressure was set at over 70lbs,way to high. Then the water smelt and tasted like chlorine for 3 days even after running the water for 4 hours. I'll never use them again, complete joke and poor workmanship. read more

We have used Cribley for 20 years. They haven't been one of the most accommodating companies I've ever dealt with. Our water pressure tank blew out on Christmas Eve several years ago, and while, understandably, they didn't have anyone to help that night, they sent out installers the day after Christmas, and covered our expenses even though the warranty on the tank had just expired. Last night I called right around the time they close. My iron filter had sprung a leak. They sent a plumber out after hours who said, "You paid a lot for this unit, you deserve good service." Gotta love 'em. read more

They are probably great with drilling wells, etc., but the Quick Silver water treatment system we have (understand it is part of the Champion line) does not handle the water issues. Still plenty of white in shower, sinks, etc. and rust stains in toilets. Water tastes salty. The prior owners had the system installed by Cribley so we had them out to look at it and they indicated it is functioning as designed. Well, then, it is designed very poorly! In my opinion, we would be the same or even better off just not using it . . . . better off because we at least would not be adding all of the salt into the mix of what is coming out of our faucets. Very unhappy. Cannot recommend the Quick Silver system. read more

I had to recently use Cribley Well drilling for some service at our home. I had to have the connection line replaced between the well and the house, a new pressure tank installed, and repair to the well head. I can't say Cribley is not a good company--they have been around a long time and are certainly reputable. They have very large, commercial equipment and can certainly get the job done. I used them years ago when I lived in Saline which is a lot closer than now. I now live in Novi which is quite a distance north east from them. My issue, and to inform others, is their billing policy. Had I known I would not have hired them. They did not inform me before I had them come out. They charge you (currently $130 at the time of this review) per hour FROM THE MOMENT THEY LEAVE THEIR SHOP AND TO GET TO THEIR NEXT LOCATION. This means if you live an hour away you already racked up a bill of $130 before they even ring your doorbell. I had them come out to remove a well pump and they worked just over two hours and I was forced to pay $520! In addition to the hourly charge for all their driving, there is a $75 "rig charge". So for them to use their well equipment for which you hired them to fix your well, you pay for that also. Personally I would look elsewhere because of this billing policy. They happen to not be able to remove my pump and another company the next day did, but they stopped after just over two hours and declared me needing a new well so they likely could have removed it if they kept trying?? I would hire someone that works in your area instead until they start charging from when they arrive at your house rather than paying for them to drive. You decide. read more

Our water was cutting in and out. We call Cribley and they came right out. At first they couldn't find the problem because the water was working. When we told Cribley that the water had been inconsistent, they did some testing, found the problem and had it fixed in about an hour. We would recommend Cribley. read more
