WARNING: Do not hire DAILY RAIN SPRINKLER Company -- they will damage your existing piping and not…read morerepair it! It's sad for me to have to write this article because I hired daily rain more than 20 years ago when they were just starting out their business. Note, that I would not write this article, had they just done the right thing, but they didn't. WARNINGS: 1) The work crew that comes out is inexperienced. 2) They ramrodded holes into one zone of piping, instead of using available head to extend the sprinkler system. 3) Getting the job done is more of a priority, than doing it right. 3) Rather than going back to the shop and getting the right connector or asking more questions, they just drill holes in your piping, and use INAPPROPRIATE FITTINGS. 4) When asked to come correct the issue, they DECLINED. BACKGROUND: The job was separated into 3 parts. 1) to repair damages caused by concrete work that the city had performed next to the property. 2) to extend sprinkler heads around my generator, using an existing head that was right next to the area of work 3) to replace sprinkler heads on the rest of the property. ISSUE: 1) I had asked the company to separate the bill into 3 parts. Clearly indicating what was to be covered by the city, and what was mine. RESULT: 1)The bill provided was not separated well enough for me to be able to send it to the city. 2) Requesting to have the bill separated on numerous occasions, resulted in nothing. 3) I lost the ability to reclaim the damages from the city because I could not get a bill that was separated enough. 4)My payment was delayed in trying to get this resolved, plus an urgent medical issue slowed my payment, but it was paid in full PRIOR to going to collections. ACTIONS: 1) When I realized the bill was going to go to collections, I drove to the property address, only to discover that there is nothing there. It is literally a OPEN FIELD! 2) I called the owner to explain this, and he said that just put the check in the mail. 3) Recent Request to repair zone-5 was declined, due to " policy of not working on jobs that had to go to collections". 4) I offered to pay in advance and even in cash. They still declined! They just do not want to repair the damages they did plain and simple. WARNING, NOT TRUSTWORTHY BUSINESS! PS- yes, I have all the receipts and photos. NOTE: there is a sprinkler head directly behind that generator shown in the photos that they should have used to install the extension. It's not like they didn't know it was there, they put the darn thing in. And they didn't bother to ask any questions, given that the crew they sent out was clueless. Instead, they jammed the wrong fitting in there as you could see in the photos. IT LEAKED FOR 1 YEAR before I realized what was causing the soil in that area to sink.

Whatever you do, do not use Daily Rain. These guys do shoddy work. I had them come out to install…read morean irrigation system and they cut the underground drainage lines from my roof, causing sinkholes and soil erosion throughout my yard. They could have spent a few minutes making sure they trenched everything properly, but were in such a hurry to take my money and run that they did awful work. Do NOT use them.

THE SHORT: Unethical business practices and too many better options in the market. Fellow…read morecontractors and homeowners should steer clear. Lester brothers is a better source of top soil, mulch and gravel. Sandy's Landscape is a better alternative for landscape supplies and installations. But I'd certainly never do business with Wilcox again. THE LONG: We ordered 10 yards of 411 limestone and 2 yards of #10 limestone. We received 2.5 yards of #10 and 6.5 yards of 411. We honestly assumed they were gonna do two truckloads and called to see when they would be out to deliver the second load. The receptionist laughed at me and transferred me to the owner. The owner proceeded to tell me I was an idiot and probably over excavated our area by 3.5" average. We formed and transit leveled an average of 4.5". We were shooting for 4" and were anywhere from 3.5-5.5" at the deepest. Let's call it an average of 4.5" (to be generous to them). The forms were 32' long and 13 feet wide. That comes out to 5.7 yards (being generous). Plus we poured some at the entrance of the patio (let's call it a yard to be generous). 6-7 yards. Whats weird is that we got the right amount of #10. Im guessing they could bring in a few hundred thousand dollars a year doing this and honestly, who is forming up their gravel/mulch? This was a unique situation where we wanted a perfectly sloped base so we screeded the gravel like concrete. To fix it we had to order a second load of 10 yards and pay for it. This time I measured the truck. If the truck was full to the brim it would be 10 yards. I'll let you be the judge of whether or not you think that truck in the photo is full. (We got less than 8 yards the second trip-once we got the rest in the forms) We would have ended up short on our own estimate and ended up needing 12 yards total and were prepared to go get a couple yards to fill in around the patio. But got less than half done because we were short so much. We ended up getting less than 15 yards total. we have 2-3 left over and 12 under the patio. Yes, including the compaction rate which is about a half an inch at this depth. The owner and driver were incredible rude throughout the whole process. We invited them out to double check our math. The owner Jeff said he would come out twice to check and remedy and never showed either day. We also invited them to let the driver check out the forms and take measurements while he was out delivering the second load. He never left the truck. We were more than willing to have our math corrected and let them double check the measurements. They were uninterested in resolving it and at the end offered us $100 refund which we refused because it doesn't seem right. We got less than 15 yards and paid for 20. I get why they would do it. I just don't want to have any part of it. I'll let you be the judge. After this was all done I thought back to the last time I used them for mulch delivery. I alway bought bagged mulch and always had extra. I ordered the same from them and came up short. I assumed it was my math. Now I question that. This is how they do business. To give them the benefit of the doubt, Im not sure they even know they are swindling people. They just seem to be uninterested in verifying or correcting it. I'll be making other construction companies aren't getting taken. I'd steer clear if I were you. (See Google reviews for Pictures)

Since the installation, we have had a persistent standing water issue in our yard. I spoke directly with the building inspector regarding our deck project, and he confirmed that he reviewed the approved plans and thoroughly inspected every hole prior to installation. He verified there were no water pipes near the foundation and approved the work without issue. Davor, who was also involved, confirmed the same and noted that our sump pump drains properly away from this area. The inspector advised that the water problem is likely due to sprinkler placement and improper grading. Meadowbrook previously represented to me that the yard had been properly graded before the sod was laid, but based on both the inspector's findings and the conditions in my yard, it is clear that this was not the case. Despite repeated conversations, Meadowbrook has failed to take responsibility or provide a plan of action to correct the issue. This problem has been ongoing far too long and should have been resolved promptly. The amount of money that I spent is definitely not worth the value.

He came on our lot personally to verify that everythign worked and trained us on how to use the control panel. After that, because it was late in the year, they offered to winterize the lines for us (for the first time) for free! Highly recommend.
