    Inside the restaurant

Me and my boyfriend stopped by for a quick bite before heading back to charlotte (I'm glad we did) My boyfriend got the pimento sandwich which was absolutely delicious. I got a BYO flatbread VERY cheesy (in a good way) and the pepperoni was so tasty, they also have a beer menu if you're into that :) There were only two people working the floor but, they were both very quick and polite. 5 out of 5 stars

Crescent Moon features a great menu and selection of beer, along with good, friendly service. A really comfortable place to hangout any time of day.

Great spot, food was delicious. Huge selection of beer on draft. Service was great. Plenty of options for carnivores and vegi-vores alike. Music was retro rock and easy to listen to.

Portobello Panini with Cheese and Broccoli Soup. Both were delicious.

This restaurant and bar "ups the game" for the Hickory food scene. There is an abundance of food for vegetarians and carnivores. It has an extensive beer list. My wife and I will return soon. It is a hidden gem hiding in plain sight.

There is a decent amount of seating inside and outside. I also found the service to be warm and friendly with my food coming out promptly as it was made on the spot. I was raised in Hickory all my life, but never really ventured out to enjoy the local food scene. I am trying to do that a little bit more whenever I come back. I got the Turkey, Bacon, & Avocado sandwich without mixed greens. It was a really messy but a pretty good and filling meal. There was a bit too much avocado, but I liked the aioli as it added some flavor to the sandwich. Each sandwich also comes with a bag of chips! Overall, I would be interested in coming back and trying their other sandwiches... only if I had an out of town friend visiting. I think that the sandwiches are overpriced ($14 for a simple deli meat sandwich?). It also pains me to see their version of banh mi being priced that high as some of the best banh mi from Vietnamese-owned shops cost half that price. P.S. I see that Yelp has this spot listed as closed, but as of February 2026, it is definitely open!

I was warmly welcomed when I entered and got seated at a round booth with a great view, near the artwork that caught my eye. They really know how to treat single diners here, which is rare these days. I liked that I got the best table in the place, and that they didn't attempt to seat me at the bar. My waitress was friendly and incredibly attentive. She helped me select a mocktail while going over the daily specials, and she even brought me the dessert menu near the beginning of my meal so I could plan ahead. The menu had many options in all price ranges. You can get sandwiches, burgers, salads and more high-priced entrees like mahi mahi, scallops and filet mignon. I went with the daily special, which was the Oscar Filet Mignon. It came with hollandaise sauce and grilled shrimp, and that combination intrigued me. I had the Party Punch mocktail, but it was perfect with strawberries, basil, pineapple and ginger ale. The filet mignon and topping were also amazing. I even had room for dessert and knew I had to try the blackberry wine cake, and that didn't disappoint either. This was a very special meal for me, as it marked the first leg of my trip to finish visiting all 100 North Carolina counties. With the great atmosphere, service, and food, Fourk set the bar incredibly high for the rest of my journey. I might need to make another special trip just to dine here again. The murder mystery nights and the live music nights are an added plus.

Very accessible. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. They have really fun decor, good lighting, trinkets and gifts to purchase, and different little spots to dine in, e.g., a small couch area, traditional table seating, a seat/bench by the window, and outdoor patio seating. It provides both a small, intimate setting but also a lot of room and space for groups of 3-4. I'm from California and was visiting family for a bit. Wanted to find a local coffee shop to work from. We came here about 10 years ago. Super happy this coffee shop is still around. Still has really good character, warm vibe, and employees were super welcoming to us. Grabbed a cold brew with foam, a mango/pineapple smoothie, a cookie (they gave us a second because one accidentally broke, kind gesture), a blueberry muffin, and a carrot muffin. Everything was great. That carrot muffin was the bomb. The cold brew was really good too. Classic caffeine kick, bold flavor as usual, and can really taste the fruit notes. I came back the next day to work. It was busy but there's still room to dine in and the team still got through the orders efficiently. For how busy it was, I didn't wait too long to order and get what I needed. Definitely overstayed my time but really needed a nice spot to work from. There's a lot of seating inside and out, but it gets pretty packed during lunch time. Was willing to give up my seat if needed. The staff consistently cleaned tables and seats and kind enough to just allow me to work despite my long stay. I went back to order a chai latte and the bagel and lox. The chai is unsweetened so I added their chai syrup. If you want it sweeter, probably add a bit more. I didn't mind their chai as is. Still good and getting all the spice notes after a cold brew was refreshing. The bagel and lox was phenomenal. I had to be proper and eat it like a civilized adult human being... but would've totally devoured it in seconds with my bare fingers if I was in the privacy of my home. Would come back.

A bit small inside, but there is some seating available. There are a lot of items on their menu, especially for the coffees and teas. I thought the service was friendly and efficient. I got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and the Egg & Cheese Sandwich. I knew when I saw how pale the Vietnamese Iced Coffee looked that it was not going to be typical, haha. It definitely tastes sweeter than usual and not very strong at all, and the latter is what Vietnamese Iced Coffee is known for. I did not mind the sweeter taste too much although I wish it was a bit stronger and darker (in color). As for the Egg & Cheese Sandwich, I got it on a croissant which was flaky. While the eggs were quite fluffy, I felt like they needed some salt and pepper although perhaps I was supposed to add that on my own. I think I would rate Taste Full Beans a 3.75/5 stars if I could. The drink and food I got were just alright. I would come back and try the other items on their vast menu!

Between the two of us, we've been here at least four or five times over the years, and I've also had several business lunches here. I genuinely wish I could say it's a restaurant I love and frequently recommend, because there is a lot to like about it. The building has character, the location is great, and the overall atmosphere is charming. Unfortunately, the experience itself has consistently left us underwhelmed. Every time we visit, the food is just okay--nothing particularly memorable or worth going out of your way for. The service has also been consistently slow, and on this most recent visit, that trend continued. We keep telling ourselves we won't come back, but after six to eight months we'll think, "Maybe we should give it another shot." Sadly, we usually leave feeling the same way we did the time before. What makes this especially frustrating is that the restaurant has so much potential. The setting is wonderful, and we genuinely want to like it. However, after multiple visits over several years, it feels like the food quality and service simply haven't lived up to the atmosphere. My biggest suggestion would be to focus on improving the consistency and quality of the food and to encourage the service staff to be more attentive, friendly, and proactive. A little hustle and hospitality can go a long way. At this point, there are simply too many other good dining options in the area for me to enthusiastically recommend Hickory Station. To those about to dine, I'd honestly look elsewhere.

Even when crowded, the spacing of the tables and overall layout ensured it never got too loud. The food was amazing!! My mom and I split several tapas, my favorite was probably the green beans! It is known as a Spanish and Mediterranean restaurant that serves various tapas. There is a lot of indoor seating as well as some outdoor seating, which is decorated elegantly. The ambiance is moody and somewhat upscale for a small town. I found the service to be solid. My friend and I got the Bruschetta Whipped Ricotta, Shrimp Tacos, Moroccan Chicken Tagine, Argentinian Roast Pork Sliders, and Bourbon Pecan Pie. In terms of the tapas, the Moroccan Chicken Tagine was delicious! It is a hearty and herby stew with shredded chicken that comes with this (complimentary?) warm and fluffy bread to dip into the stew. I was disappointed in the Bruschetta Whipped Ricotta. While the pita chip by itself was good, the toppings of sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke, and herbs on it made it taste more like a slice of pizza with tomato sauce. The Shrimp Tacos were decent. I could tell that the shrimp was seasoned, potentially a bit overseasoned, and the chipotle aioli gave it a good taste. The best dish for me was the Bourbon Pecan Pie. It came out piping hot but when paired with the vanilla ice cream, it melted in my mouth. I also did not find it too sweet, which was a plus for me! Overall, I think Boca is a lovely spot for a date night. The food leaves more to be wanted though, especially when basing items off of Moroccan and Spanish flavors. I am also biased coming from a larger city where this type of food was popular and readily available. I would probably rate this spot a 3.75/5 stars if I could.
