She was able to change the color back to the light brown color they originally were, as well as fix their shape to make them a little smaller. And she told me how to conceal any old gray eyebrows that might peek through. I highly recommend Kathy for both a brand new microblading job, as well as to fix or repair a faded or botched older set of eyebrows. I will never go to anyone else for my future touch ups. I was referred to Crescent Brow Bar by a friend who was happy with her microblading (eyebrows). It was easy to get a convenient appointment and the location was great for me. Her room is quiet and clean and comfortable. I was very happy with my eyebrows (I am light haired with very thin eyebrows) when she finished and they were not overdone. After a couple of months I elected to have them made darker and they are perfect. It is great to have them already ready for the day and I do not have to draw them in. Warning! This has been a nightmare for years. The owner, who barely speaks English, did NOT draw on my eyebrows for approval before starting the microblading. She just asked me to describe the shape I wanted. The result was terrible--my new eyebrows are way too high and look completely off. She's dishonest, too. I left a Yelp review three years ago and she responded by claiming she always shows the shape to clients first, which is absolutely not true. I think she got personal during our session by asking if I was married and about my husband's job, then complained about her struggles as a single person having to work hard. It feels like she took out her jealousy on me by ruining my eyebrows. I look so off ever since she basically destroyed my face. I've been wanting to get tattoo eyeliner for years. I've had the same cat-eye style for ever. Kathy was so great in making sure I was comfortable and relaxed. She explained the process and was very receptive when I needed a break. I have plenty of tattoos, but getting it on your eyelid is a whole other kind of pain. Kathy was super attentive and made sure to address any pain I felt after the numbing cream kicked in. My eyes teared up A LOT even with the numbing cream, so be prepared. I also swelled a lot. My eyelids are apparently very sensitive. I ended up having to do two sessions, but am so happy with the result! Just came home with my first-ever micro-bladed brows & I looove them! Love the shape & color & how natural they look! I didn't realize it before I went in, but turns out I'm one of those unlucky people who bleeds more easily than most; Kathy warned me that it might mean the pigment won't last as long, due to the blood 'pushing' it out, but she did an amazing job in spite of that! I have a touch up appointment in a month, so I'll update this review at that point as well ;-) OH - as for Covid safety precautions: the salon & room where the procedure takes place are both immaculately clean & abiding by social distancing requirements. As a patron, I had to wear a medical-grade mask & Kathy wore both an N95 & a face shield & gloves. My temperature was taken upon entry, hand sanitizer used & everything was cleaned & disinfected at each stage of the process. I'm glad I came & plan to be a patron for a while. Kathy is the best! I will definitely be coming back to her for any microblading needs. Her studio sits in the back of a salon and you'll text her when you arrive. Her work space is very clean and simple. I've had my eyebrows microbladed previously at another studio and we ultimately went with the same shape. She was very thorough when it came to numbing, setting timers to make sure that it was left on for long enough and when the actual microblading happened, I didn't feel a thing which is a relief because some places don't numb you enough. I'm sure different people also have different tolerances for numbing so she checked in with me regularly to make sure I felt no pain. Overall it was a very relaxing experience and it all took about 1 h. One suggestion that I do have is that the light is REALLY bright, especially when laying underneath it for an hour, so it would be nice to have a dark tissue or a towel over your eyes while having the procedure done. All in all, I will definitely be coming back here and will also be sending all my friends here if they ever need their brows done! This place is a gem, at a crazy reasonable price too! read more
