Nutella Covered Strawberries

Terrific and open late. Nice walk up counter spot with lots of yummy choices, both savory and sweet. We had chocolate and strawberry, delicious.

The Askale crepe is always a 10/10 sometimes I sub bananas for the strawberries but it never disappoints.

Stop by Crepeaway for a quick and filling meal. No really... these crepes aren't a snack, there a full size meal. The sweet crepes use fresh fruit and toppings like Nutella. The savory crepes are downright delicious. There's a small area to eat; however, on colder days the door placement makes it challenging to find a warm seat. Also of note, there are no utensils. While they put the crepe in a handy little holding cup, the larger crepes can be challenging to eat. That all being said, definitely a great place for a very quick meal!

A regular go to spot that opens late and never misses. If you like crepes and want to share, get the combo #4 and give the other to your friend/spouse/family. South beach or big papa will never do you wrong

Carlyn - can't see the filling but it's Nutella, Marshmallow, Oreo

I love Crepeaway. They aren't really traditional French crepes, more like American-style crepes, in terms of the fillings and the size. They are huge! There is a great variety of both sweet and savory crepes on the menu so you are sure to find something you like. For some reason, crepes are hard to find in DC, so I'm so glad that Crepeaway is still around. I've been going here for years and the menu variety, size, and quality has always been the same -- excellent. I always get the Combo 3, which includes a savory crepe, sweet crepe, and a drink. It's about ~$17. This is a great deal if you are getting more expensive crepes with more ingredients, which cost ~$12 by themselves. This might seem like a lot for crepes, but again, they are huge! If you want a lighter meal, they are enough to split with someone else. Some of my favorite savory crepes are the Tally (like a pepperoni pizza), Dino, South Beach, and Big Papa. For sweet crepes, I usually go with Celine, Obama, Carlyn, or Kobe. On my most recent visit, I had the South Beach (no olives) and the Carlyn. They were both great. It takes a few minutes for them to make the crepes; you can watch as they do it. They only have a few beverages: water, coke, diet coke, orange juice, and cranberry juice. They also sell Nutella-dipped strawberries although I've never tried them. My tip is to order the combo, but ask them to wait to make the second crepe until you finish the first, so it's fresher. The only thing that has changes about Crepeaway over the years is the decor. They updated the tables and chairs, removed the lovely mural they used to have, and swapped a soda fountain for a beverage fridge. I miss the old decor but the crepes are still great.

Crepeaway DC: Delicious Crepes, Great Value, and a Chill Vibe - 4.8/5 My partner and I (mostly her) can't get enough of this place. Crepeaway hits all the right notes for delicious crepes and unbeatable value. For a surprisingly low cost, you can fill up with both a sweet and savory crepe and even throw in a drink, making it an ideal spot for sharing. The portions are generous enough to split a combo and still walk away satisfied. Tucked away near Farragut North, it's a bit off the beaten path unless you're already in the area for work or errands, but it's worth seeking out. With ample seating and extended hours (they're open late), it's a great spot to unwind or satisfy late-night cravings. The vibe is casual and friendly--think a chill Chipotle-style setup. Order at the counter, wait for your name to be called, and then enjoy. It's simple, efficient, and fits the relaxed ambiance of Crepeaway.

Crepeaway, take me away! I'm a sucker for crepes, and I came here craving a Nutella strawberry crepe. It was delicious, thin, fluffy, and not too sweet. I also tried a savory crepe, which was also delicious. Seating is limited, but crepes are perfect for eating on the go. Parking can be a bit challenging in this area, but I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.

They f*cked my order up! I did an UberEats pickup order (my receipt is in the pics) for the combo sweet crepe, savory crepe & a drink cranberry juice, and I ordered 3 Nutella covered strawberries. When I got there the lady who handed me my bag assured me that everything was in there and correct, that I didn't need to check the bag, of course she was wrong. When I opened the bag the drink was wrong they gave me orange juice instead of cranberry and they didn't put my strawberries in the bag. I had to wait an extra few minutes for the lady to talk to some guy in the back and confirm that he didn't completely do my order and she got me the right juice and strawberries. When I got home I unfolded the crepes to make sure everything was right on what I asked for and of course it was wrong again! The sweet crepe I asked for no bananas and to give me blueberries instead and extra powdered sugar. They included the blueberries but also left the bananas and no powdered sugar. I'm allergic to bananas and its not as simple as just taking them off it makes my food inedible so I had to throw that one away. On the savory Obama crepe I asked for American cheese instead of Provolone which they didn't do but everything else was ok. I posted a 1 star review for this place 5 years ago and I'm sure they probably don't have the same rude staff from back then but the order fulfillment quality is severely lacking!!! After my review 5 years ago the owner reached out and offered me a coupon to come back and do a positive review he'll probably do the same again after he reads this. I didn't take it then and I won't take it now. I'm just glad UberEats gave me back my money except for the cost of the strawberries which were very good.

I got one savory crepe, I should've gotten the combo since it seemed much more of a better deal. Crepe was surprisingly big however, lacked in flavor. I wish they had some side sauces! overall if I was looking for a late night craving I would come back

My friends and I were in the mood for crepes and just came across this place and went in and it was the BEST decision! 15/10 experience and food - it's a seriously must try. The service was amazing - and the crepes are of course freshly made but you can watch them make it & it's very hot when you get it (which I loved!). For the sweet crepe, I got the Carlyn which has nutella, marshmallows and oreo cookies and this was literally amazing! It was not too sweet and there was so many oreo crumbles - I loved it! For my savory option, I was unsure what I wanted and the person taking my order was kind enough to let me personalize my crepe, so I got one with grilled chicken, cheese and bell peppers and that was delicious as well. They also have combo options if you want to get chips & drinks or multiple crepes - I did combo #3 which is a sweet crepe, savory crepe and a drink. It is very affordable and the portions are amazing. I could not finish both crepes in one sitting alone, but definitely could if you were hungry enough :) highly recommend checking it out if you are looking for an amazing crepe spot.

I ordered a cheese, tomato, and basil crepe. It was fresh and a good portion but slightly bland. There was also no ambiance. There was one other customer, one employee, and no music playing, so it was stonily silent. The interior is spacious and clean. I would consider coming back and ordering a different crepe.

I got the Angel. YUMMY, and open super late...wish they opened earlier for breakfast. And wish they had utensils... I've never considered crepes finger food and when I asked for utensils and they said they don't have any, I legit thought they were messing with me haha!! But really yummy! I'd go back!

Wanted something sweet and savory after landing from Boston. My friend came across this place which offers combo #3 including both plus a drink for under $20. We opted for the Donald and Big Papa with a half lemonade and half tea for the drink. Both came out within 10 minutes as it was not very busy on a Friday around noon. But seeing a few signs and realizing they're open until 4 am, I can imagine it as an ideal midnight munchies spot. Both crepes were stuffed to the brim and serve in little paper cones to make it easier to eat. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with any of the orders as all the ingredients tasted good individually and together. Overall, great experience especially for the price value and fullness after. I enjoyed the design with the concrete tables and seats as they're typically made for outdoors. Staff were nice as well and continuously preparing more items. Will definitely come again before we head out!

All of the hip young girls in high school recommended this place to me and my friends and lets just say, they have never been more wrong. My girls and I went this weekend for a birthday brunch. I wanted a crepe, but when I saw it was 17 DOLLARS to slap some Nutella and strawberries on a piece of crepe is outrageous. I ordered a "Continental Breakfast," which, with tax and tip, cost me $30 DOLLARS. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when they gave me a plate of rabbit food. All 6 of us looked at the plate and laughed. Seriously, my 5 year old neice can eat 3 times as much of that in one sitting. So, in what world would that be enough food for a grown woman? My friend then went on to order the French toast for a grand total of $36 DOLLARS. Mind you, there was only one piece of toast, and the Inside was raw and soggy. Tasted like eating wet, soaked toilet paper. On top of the overpriced food and small portions, our "server" came to our table for a total of ONE SINGULAR TIME. My friend had also ordered a Chai Latte. Surprise, Surprise! It never came, and they still charged her for it. I think the nice man who brought us our food could see the look on our faces when we received our food, because he then brought us a free side of French fries. It is a huge problem when the french fries were the only sufficient thing I put in my mouth at this restaurant. I please, genuinely beg all of you to NOT waste your money. I promise there is anywhere else where you can get a crepe for double the size and half the cost. Once we left, we went down to Call Your Mother, the Jewish Deli, to get more food, as all of us left with our tummies still rumbling. Mind you, a full bagel sandwich and coffee cost HALF THE PRICE of one meal at Fontaine. Horrible. Mind you, it is 2 days later, and I am still thinking about this. I fully created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review. I think I would have a better experience eating an IHOP Continental breakfast than whatever I put in my mouth at this restaurant. Not worth the hype at all. Save your hard-earned cash and be a big baller elsewhere!

At first glance, Le Chat Noir is a classic french bistro. Pate with cornichons, endive and…read moreroquefort dressing, steak frites - all the greats are there, and are well-prepared. But look a little closer and you'll find a multi-dimensional French dining experience. The restaurant has a regional inflection to Brittany - think buckwheat crepes in all their flavors - and to North Africa - think chickpea dishes and merguez: lamb sausage. Let me dwell for a moment on the merguez. The way it is grilled here is absolutely delicious. You can get it with a lentil stew (which may sound boring, but in this chef's hands is anything but) or on a baguette with fries or salad. The portions are generous and I highly recommend. Somewhat spicy, so keep that in mind. At Le Chat Noir you can sit in the cozy dining room, or on the glassed-in veranda, which in fine weather opens to create an indoor-outdoor space. Or you can rent the space upstairs for private functions. We did so and were well taken care of, both in the planning and the execution.

The restaurant had sent out a holiday prix fixe menu in emails that included swordfish, my friend's favorite dish. We called the restaurant that afternoon to confirm it was indeed available and they said yes. We confirmed our reservation and were super excited. Once we arrived there was some confusion as the fish listed on the menu was different, but we were assured she could still get the swordfish. Well..... guess what? They brought out a different fish and I guess just hoped she wouldn't notice? It was really bad. She sent it back and they made her a Croque Monsieur, but it was cold in the center as they rushed the cooking (not raw, just cold ham). The food we did order and get was very nice. Servers were friendly and very French. We ordered a bottle of sparkling rose and they did a nice job of refilling our glasses of wine and water throughout the meal. Ambiance is reminiscent of cafes in Paris. We were there early on NYE (5pm reservation) so the place was still warming up, but the space is cozy and a bit tight when it's full. I so wanted to love my dinner here, but not telling the truth about the type of fish you're serving is pretty unforgivable. I might try them again, but I won't be ordering the fish.
