A Hidden Gem! Crepe Town in Hicksville is such an amazing little hidden gem! The crepes were thin, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Everything was so good, and you can tell they really care about what they serve. The woman working at the counter was incredibly sweet, friendly, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The place was also very clean and the service was great. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. We'll absolutely be back!

Found another crepe place in the neighborhood! Located on N. Broadway, there is street parking available. We all ordered something different. One ordered a Strawberry chocolate crepe (they subbed since they were out of bananas), Strawberry shortcake milkshake, Lotus Biscoff sushi crepe, and a Twix crepe. They were all good but the crepes were a bit thick and dense to our liking. Extensive menu of sweets. There are several tables to enjoy your crepes and the presentation was very nice. Service was friendly and attentive. Worth a try.

Dom made me a strawberry crêpe, using about a cup of fresh strawberries inside and about a quarter a cup outside. At my request, he drizzled "just a little"" Dubai Chocolate and pistachio spread on top because a sample taste of the chocolate was sickeningly sweet. The crêpe was delicious, and the presentation was creative (see photo below). The crêpe itself was golden brown in color on both sides with no visible raw batter, unlike what I have had at a lot of other crêperies on Long Island. Dom explained that he grew up in France and learned how to make crêpes there. It shows. This is one of the best crêpes that I have had since my senior year of high school when I was an exchange student in the Paris suburbs. Dom rewarded me for my first visit with a free bottle of water. What excellent service! There are enough seats for 20 people. Street parking is tough to find even on a Sunday when I went.

CrepeTown in Hicksville is a total 10/10! The ambience is great--a really cool vibe for a dessert spot--and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious. The Dubai Chocolate Crepe is a must-try for that perfect crunch, and I also tried their Dubai Chocolate bars which were high-quality and so indulgent. The Oreo Waffles were perfectly fluffy, and the Chocolate Dipped Strawberries were super fresh and sweet. I loved the experience of dipping them in the fondue. We also loved the Fettuccine Crepe, the Snickers Air-fried Oreos, and the Strawberry Splash Mojito (so refreshing!). Mark your calendars: Their Grand Opening is this Friday, Jan 9th! They're doing FREE crepes from 6-8 PM and 25% off everything after 8 PM. Definitely check them out!

Enjoy fresh delicious crepes at this cozy European style crêperie in Darien. Service is always warm…read moreand friendly. It's the perfect place to chill any time of the day. Savory crepes are offered Breton style using buckwheat flour. These galettes bretonnes are light and crispy with an earthly toasted flavor, the ideal counterpoint to the fillings that accompany them such as hearty European cheeses, charcuterie, tangy pickles or spicy arugula leaves. Among them, galettes Choupette (fig, arugula, prosciutto, goat cheese), Ractiflette (potato, watercress, Raclette cheese, charcuterie) and Complète Jambon (Gruyère, organic egg, country ham) are super delish and totally worth a try. Sweet crepes, made with whole wheat flour, are the soft fluffy crepes we are more familiar with around here. Personal favorites include the Traditionnelle (butter, sugar), Hugette (pear, dark chocolate, almonds) and the Amour et jalousie (Nutella, banana, strawberry). Lots of beverage options here! The coffee is great, as are their ciders and their freshly squeezed (orange or grapefruit) juices.

What an excellent find on the lower east side…read more Mrs. E. is a sweet crepe aficionado. If it's not honey and butter she would've ordered the apple, caramel and walnut crepe. She reports an excellent experience! I tried the more savory Smoked Turkey with shrooms and Swiss Cheese. As big as they are, it was so good I was still thinking of getting seconds. They also have vegetarian, fruit and chocolate crepes. They are open until 2am. Not that we'd ever need it, it's nice to know. We stopped at a good time mid-morning, not too long a line and it moved pretty fast. The place is a bit small but there's seating outside. If there wasn't so much NYC to see, we would definitely be back. 10/24

Solid! We spent 3 weeks in Paris in the springtime and I fell even more in love with crêpes and…read moregalettes while there, so naturally I'm searching for good crêpes at home. Creperie on Ludlow St came up in my search and we happened to be down that way on Sunday. I'm also a huge ice cream and gelato fan, but husband is lactose intolerant so he prefers non-dairy. Last year we discovered the amazing vegan ice cream at Orchard Grocery, but I wanted the real thing this trip and he apparently hadn't wanted a frozen treat at all so wouldn't do Orchard Grocer for himself and a different place for me. Happy medium? Share a good crêpe! We found it at Crêperie. SO many choices, many similar to ones we loved in France. Extensive selection, but it didn't take long to decide on the apple-walnut-caramel crêpe to share, costing not much more than 2 ice creams. We watched the lone young man as he poured batter onto the round griddle to just the perfect thinness; as he expertly flipped it; as he loaded on plenty of apple compote, plenty of walnuts, and gently squeezed caramel sauce. Then he folded it into a neat rectangle, scooped it into an exactly the same size pan, flipped the whole thing over onto another griddle and left it to heat while he made a crêpe for the person behind us. At exactly the right moment (was he watching the clock? or maybe he's just THAT good!), he flipped it over, slid the crêpe onto a plate, artistically drizzled more caramel sauce on top and then gently shook some powdered sugar over it. Handed me 2 forks and knives and we sat on stools at the counter for our Sunday afternoon treat! Excellent! They have several savory crêpes (in Paris, those were usually buckwheat crêpes called galettes) and many sweet ones. Unfortunately it's more of a takeout place, with just the few stools at a counter inside, and a couple of small tables outside. I'm still looking for a genuine Parisian-style restaurant with a good selection of galettes and crêpes - but this was a great find and I definitely recommend it to you!
