Unfortunately, the food is pretty good. The service and employees are the worst part. If they aren't stoned and screwing around they are annoyed and angry like you are forcing them to work there. I really like the food but i hate having to deal with the employees, they are slow on delivery and pickup. If creno's ever did a drug test at this location they wouldn't have anybody to run their business, I'm confident they never even have a manager so who knows whats going on there. Ordered pizzas for our kids and guest...was given a 45 minute delivery estimate. The 45 minute estimate came and went followed by another 45. I called and asked about the delay , I was told "we'll get it out of here soon" and "it was definitely already on the way." Which was it? Another 25 minutes went by, ( we were already making other dinner plans) my wife decided to call to get a refund and an employee, after being indifferent and rude hung up her. We found Creno's when we moved from out of the area. We like to frequent local places over the chains when we can. Their pizza is pretty good, I really can't complain about it. It's always hot and tastes good. I wouldn't say it's anything special, but if you're looking for good pizza, this would be a solid place to order from. The staff is friendly and I've made mistakes when ordering over the phone, then when I get into the store and realize I've made the mistake, they've always fixed it for me with no issues. read more

Went to Creno's for a quick lunch. Ordered a large cheese pizza. The person who took the order charged us the correct price for the large cheese pizza. While sitting there ,I noticed the sign in front of the store advertising for a "large one topping " for $8.99. I asked the person behind the counter as we were finishing up about it. He (Kyle) said something to the effect of " I'll adjust that for you". He refunded me the difference. That was very nice to see. I thanked him for doing that. Where do I start? Yes the pizza is good and subs are OK, However, every single time I have ordered from here they are so late that we are no longer in the mode to even enjoy the pizza. Tonight was the last straw. I ordered at 6:11PM they estimated ready at 6:33 I came in at exactly 6:33 (no one wears masks) they said "so sorry we were swamped, it will be another 15mins" I said fine, I waited and still was not ready finally at 7:38PM it was done!!! Are you kidding?!? Although they said sorry that simply doesn't cut it anymore! It should have been FREE! Then we get home only to find out the order was WRONG!!!! So I am officially DONE! Let me first say, that we have ordered from Creno's for years. Since they first opened when I was in High School and my Mom ordered for special occasions. I've always been a big believer, that even though the price is higher than some chain pizza joints, a good product makes it worth it. Now, let me tell you my most recent experience with Creno's Pizza... Last night my husband and I both got home late from work, and we had a friend staying with us in town while working at a different store. Since we were running late, we decided to treat our out-of-town friend to a little local culinary treat. We placed our order at 6:53pm. At 7:55, I finally call the Creno's to ask why our order had not yet been delivered. Kevin answered and when I inquired about my order, he said "She should have already been there." To which I stated, well.... she's not...? He then said she should be there any second. 20 minutes later, I called back and Kevin answered again. When I again asked on the status of my order, he stated that the delivery lady just left less than 10 minutes ago (Which is a little irritating since obviously, dear Kevin lied to me when he told me that the delivery lady was on her way to my house 20 minutes ago). I asked Kevin what he could do for me since I'd had to wait for about an hour and a half for my pizza. He firmly told me that I'd have to pay no matter what. Now, once the delivery driver arrived... The delivery girl tried to tell me I had to pay cash (I paid with a card over the phone). After a call to my dear friend Kevin, all was straightened out. I signed the credit card slip (because lets face it... It's now 8:30 and I'm STARVING. But then, the delivery driver tries to leave with my food! When I told her I'd like my dinner please, she replied with "But you said you didn't want to pay!" Ummm... no, I didn't, but I just DID pay and I expect to have my food. Reader, I must tell you that I WISH this tale ended here, but alas, no. It did not. I took my pizza into the kitchen and opened the box to find my pizza half mutilated and COLD. Sooo, I give Kevin another call. This time when I told Kevin who was calling he actually audibly sighed. When I told him the issue, he said "I'll have it re-made for you" and hung up. At this point I'm getting VERY angry. I tell my husband and my guest to go ahead and dig into the COLD garlic bread and salad. When My guest pulls out a long brown hair from the salad while serving herself a helping. Ugh.... So, we all get into the car because at this point, I'm concerned that the pizza that may be delivered to my house next may just kill me if I try to consume it. We take my order back the restaurant and ask Kevin to please just give me a refund. But Kevin doesn't know HOW!?!?! So, I ask to speak to a manager. Kevin states that he can't call his manager because his manager is at home with his family to which I replied that I, too would like to be at home with my family enjoying a nice dinner, but because of him, I am not. When I told Kevin, that I have been a manager in the customer service business for almost 9 years, he caves and says that he can indeed do a refund for me. (hmmm.... that's lie #2 for all of you keeping track.). While he processes my refund, I ask Kevin what his manager's name is. To which he replies... "I AM the manager"... (Kevin evidently can be 2 places at once since not even 2 minutes ago, his manager was at home with his family). After giving me my refund, he asked me what he was supposed to do with the pizza he was re-making for me... (To which I REALLLY wanted to tell him to put it where the sun don't shine... but I resisted the urge). Instead, I told him to do whatever he wanted with it, I didn't want it. Through this 2hour+ ordeal... I never received even ONE apology. Pretty sickening if I do say so myself. I hope that if you're still reading this, you'll steer clear. Pizza and subs are pretty good but service is terrible. I work less than 1/2 mile away from this place, the last time I ordered from them I called in my order at 6:30 so my pizza would be delivered at work by break time which is at 8:00. They told me that was plenty of time to get it there. Well I had nothing to eat for break because they didn't show up until 8:25. Delivery person was very apologetic but I refused delivery because by that time I had to return to work. My coworkers got a kick out of it because they no longer order from there because they are always late or don't even show up so that was the last time I will be ordering from them. read more

I haven't ordered from there since!!! Over 3 years now all because of one A hole working there one night.

Terrible place to eat! They only got one star because they had to have a rating. I waited in the building for 10 minutes with no service. A worker from the back came out and asked if I was here for a pick up I said no I want to place an order. He said ok and walked away. When he got to the back he said someone was waiting to place an order. No one came out. I stood in the lobby and called in. The same guy came from the back and went to answer the phone. He rinsed his hands and opened the computer to take the order. I hung the phone up when he went to answer in hopes of getting my order placed, instead he walked away from me. No one took my order so I left. I am from out of town and love to try new places. This is the first place I have been to where I was ignored. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

New management or new ownership- I'm not sure which. Mount Vernon Crenos is a whole different store since a couple years ago. Twice now we have gotten exceptional service and top quality pizza. Tonight was pizza and Stromboli for the family. Ready in 20 minutes on a busy Holiday weekend. Hot and fresh exactly when expected. I have to say this is one of the best pizza places in mount Vernon always cooked to order and friendly staff.

My husband and I ordered 2 subs, 1 was a veggy sub with no mayo, the other was a pizza sub no pepperoni. We open the subs and what is on them? Mayo and pepperoni, being a vegetarian pepperoni is a huge no no for us so that was very disappointing, the mayo not as big of a deal but we dont eat eggs, and mayo has eggs so it was a bummer. The delivery guy dropped our sauces on the porch, said he'd bring replacements and never came back. Besides getting no sauce that we paid for and getting meat murder on our sub overall the food was good.This was the 2nd time I've ordered from Crenos and sadly it might be my last. read more
