However, our crepe was small and dry. We erroneously assumed the nutella and fruit crepe would have at least the Nutella inside before they folded it. Instead, it was a cold, chewy crepe with a congealed drizzle of nutella and the fruit on top. The donut was fine. If I'm being honest, it looked and tasted like a sugared hamburger bun. Not sure we would go out of our way to try this spot, but if back in Porto and found ourselves here, we would try different items than these.

Good gelato break while wandering Porto…read more Boutique do Gelado is a small gelato shop just south of the popular pedestrian street Rua das Flores in Porto's historic district. We stumbled in on a hot day to find a wide array of fresh gelato flavors, including classic mango, strawberry, mint & chocolate plus more unique blends. Texture was smooth & rich as you'd expect for gelato. For €3.90, we received one gelato scoop in a cone. Their signature vanilla, pistachio & forest fruit flavor had an interesting mix of fresh vanilla gelato along with a slightly crunchy nutty feel plus notes of sweet sour berries. The scoop was topped generously and on the sweet side. The gelato shop was relatively packed with locals. Skip it or hit it? It's a good detour for a pleasant treat between strolling through Rua das Flores.

I never would have thought to drizzle honey on my pizza, so I was skeptical when the girl working asked my husband if she could add it on, but oh my gosh it was amazing! The female employee spoke English and was so friendly she offered to help us out with any tips or questions we had about visiting Porto. My husband couldn't stop thinking about that pizza for the rest of our trip and was sad he didn't have the chance to go back. I've since promised that I'd try to recreate the pizza for him at home, but it still probably won't be as memorable as the real thing.

Yes, we were charged for 2 cracker packets, 2 rolls, 2 butter packets, olives and the tuna cream it did not matter that not all was eaten. Total added to bill 7,10 euros or $8 plus. I accept my mistake and paid the bill though not happy. So I leave this warning to all be careful if you go here and if you see anything on the table send it back immediately unless you are willing to pay for it.

We only wished we had room for more. The food being brought to other tables made our mouths water. The sangria made with cider was great. The real fun came when the owner, Maria, dressed in Celtic style brought over Celtic and Viking armor and weapons for our table and the next for a photo opportunity not to be passed up.
