Decked out in Christmas decor right now, super cute! The bartender made me a tropical non alcoholic drink that was really yummy. There's a fun Photo Booth.

Bartender was nice and friendly. The vibe is definitely creepy so if you're not into clowns or anything that may spook you out, this isn't your place to go. It did take a while for the drinks to come out because there were a lot of people and only one bartender but for the place to have that much support says a lot about it. The drinks were definitely made well, I had a banana cocktail that was surprisingly really tasty.

First time here and our group loved it! On a Saturday night, it was moderately busy, but we were able to find a booth to sit at. I ordered the zero-proof Riptide, which was very refreshing on that warm night! I also took a sip of my friend's Pickletini and liked it more than I thought I would! The decor above of bar was so fun to look at - this place had a "creepy" (haha) vibe to it, and I could see the subtle hints of the clown theme. We came here right after Raven's Manor and it was a perfect sequel to our night out! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to check out a new themed bar - a lot of the drinks on their menu looked appealing and the staff was kind and attentive! There was even a photobooth in the other room too! Plenty of indoor seating and clown merch to purchase if you're interested!

Goth clown in a great bar.

This place is awesome. As much decor as a tiki bar but so not one (yet they do make a few tiki drinks and do a respectable job). Great clowney decor. Kick ass smash burgers (the BINGO is the shit). Good fries. Friendly staff. Pinball. Eclectic crowd.

Very interesting vibe here. It was on a Christmas list and did not disappoint. They had creepy Christmas decorations, and little hats on their portraits with Gremlins playing on the TV. We only popped in for a drink. Service was reasonable for the solo person working. It was definitely an experience

Very cute and spooky aesthetic, definitely come by if you're looking for a spooky bar to try. Been here a few times and never disappoints, friendly staff and good vibes overall:)

Fun kitschy dive bar vibe. "Creepy" decor either dolls, paintings, figurines. Friendly bartender. Plenty of seating at the bar or booths. Pinball machines in the back room. Photo Booth not working :-( Burger restaurant inside to complement the drinks. I had a Flim Flam drink. Refreshing and mule like. I had a single patty smash burger- could have used more seasoning on the meat but otherwise great for bar food. Pickles were sweet not sour on the burger. Stole a few of my boyfriend's fries and they were well seasoned and crispy. Street parking

Atmosphere: Definitely a unique atmosphere with circus and clown-themed decor. It's a dive bar but I like the unique twist on it. Food: Smash burgers are good but on the small side Price: Prices are reasonable. Can get a Rainier if on a budget Service: Adequate Parking: Street parking

This is an interesting clown themed bar and eatery, serving american food like burgers and hot dogs. We got smash burgers bingo style. It was oily and slightly lacking in flavor, but good enough to finish. The waffle fries were pretty decent, crunchy and lightly seasoned. The over under cocktail was sweet and delicious, and the lamplighter had a noticeably strong pineapple taste. Loved the artwork on the walls, beyond the clown theme, especially in combination with the dim colored lighting setting the mood. The props and decor in the bar area were just a bit "creepy", but also kinda random... like why is Elvis there?!? There's a game room on the other side, with 1-2 arcade machines, a pool table, and additional seating. Plus, even more seating outside. Service was great, staff was efficient and friendly, made for a pleasant experience overall.

I had a really yummy vegan burger and fries here! The ambiance is filled with creepy dolls and clown photos on the walls. They were also playing the movie The Grudge while we were there. A spooky vibe all year round, but was absolutely perfect for halloween time!

Thought there would more be clowns. Nice enough bartender, and quick service for a solid smash burger (soft bun but didn't like the sweet pickles on it). The downfall is the LONG line waiting in for another drink. Waited for about 20 minutes to get another drink. So instead, closed my tab and left. Saw several other groups do the same due to the wait and slow moving line (Saturday night only one bartender).

Perfect for a late night after party! We enjoyed smash burgers , a variety of drink options, however late night, the menu is limited. Fun hoppin music, fog machine and the Photo Booth. After a meal, I was exhausted and my group continued to party. I didn't want to be the pooper, so I put my head on my purse while all at my table carried on. Unfortunately that got us kicked out. No sleeping at the table!

Like plethora of others in the reviews have mentioned, you are met with security that's far from friendly. My wife and I were greeted by security who held up his hand like he was holding an invisible business card. "ID" is all he said. Sure, no worries, we are in our forties. Hand it over. He then proceeds to ask us about marijuana products on our person..... WAIT, WHAT? This is the Pacific Northwest, my guy. I've seen legit bongs on curbside picnic tables at other bars (Thunderbird on Foster). But this guy wants to peruse your bags trying to find weed. I lied to this securi-nerd, and waltz'd past him. I'm a grown adult, my legal toking is none of your business. Took awhile to get two basic beers. We were met with smiles by staff, but they didn't ask us if we wanted a drink or menu. Finally someone came over and took our drink order. This was a one and done place for us. It has this fake feeling of a PACNW dive bar. It didn't feel legit. It felt put on. Noticed a large table of locals wearing "OREGUNIAN" sweatshirts, and the vibe at this place is just way off. I felt like I was on the East coast--not the West coast. Again, who asks patrons if thy have weed on them with zero explanation? Every single music venue I've been to in Portland could not give less of a crap about your weed vape, so why does this pretend dive bar? What a weird, un-Portland like vibe. The ick is real.

On entering for lunch, the customer journey is unknown. We should not be an explorer without a map! In front of the stairs is a stand one would logically consult on seating. You would usually have a sign, which today should span languages, on seating. "Seat yourself" or see front-ofhouse person. But no, the stand in front of the stairs is not the front-ofhouse person. They are dedicated to providing utensils and napkins. How does a new arrival even know where the front-of-house person is? Restaurant 101. The front-of-house is behind the bar and not very attentive to new arrivers. New arrivers are your customers! That person is also the final bill person. By observation they seemed idle much of the time. Next, the upholstery of my seat was stained. Either clean it to invisibility or replace it. Any restaurant should check the condition of tables and chairs daily. At this level of restaurant, it is basic. We are not a dive. I was there for their loss leader crab sandwich special but ordered more, so I was not a loss leader customer. Bring a real napkin because a dish with small pieces will have small pieces fall out. The server from the kitchen brought small paper cocktail napkins. Instead I had to get a napkin and fork from the utensils and napkins cart myself. I guess, oddly, becoming familiar with where napkins were, thinking they were front-of-house, was useful in disguise! No refilling water. The dishes seem to be served by kitchen staffers. There was no checking on customer experience mid-meal or on billing. "Is/was everything OK?" Wow! I would have told them what I am writing. The menu was pretty standard today in items and price. I would say my sandwich was unnecessarily salted. I'm in favor of flavored by ingredients. I would say this is a fine hotel bar among many choices downtown. It is on the second floor, aside from the stains, pleasant, and there are public spaces in this hotel for meetups and meetings. But it needs a review of customer experience design, who does what, and the customer journey, stat. If Marriott is doing this nationally, they are failing. Good design is not expensive, it can operate at any price point. Maybe robots will improve things? None of the staffers should be blamed, it is design and management which are lacking.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

We came to Teardrop Cocktail Lounge while visiting Portland and were genuinely impressed…read more The cocktails were excellent -- thoughtful, well-balanced, and clearly made by people who know what they're doing. One of the best parts was how approachable the bartenders were. We asked for custom drinks based on our preferences, and both came out perfectly tailored. Creative without being weird, and strong without being sloppy. What really stood out was the price point. For the quality of cocktails, the prices felt very reasonable compared to similar craft cocktail bars in other cities. The vibe was also great -- relaxed, cozy, and not pretentious. It felt like a place where you could come for a special drink experience without feeling like you had to "perform" or order off a rigid menu. We liked it so much we actually came back a second time during our trip. Highly recommend if you're into well-crafted cocktails, friendly bartenders, and a laid-back but elevated atmosphere.
