I lived here many years ago for 18 months. Had an 18 month lease and moved out the day it was over. First off the people who run the place were super nice and I had no issues with them. It's how the place was run that was the problem. These families move in - it's four or five people. After they sign the lease and get settled, they move in another 12 people. So you've got 17 people living in a 2 bedroom apartment, 4 generations including 7 or 8 kids (or more). So the apartment was over run with kids who'd run around the place at all hours. They'd throw rocks at my apartment. I complained about it a couple times and all I got was "we'll look into it." NUMEROUS apartments had this. You'd walk by the apartment, the front door is open and 13 people are huddled around the big screen eating dinner (and that's not even everyone living there). I complained and complained. Finally when my lease was up I put my notice in. They asked "you're such a great tenant, why are you moving out?" "Because of the multitude of kids who run around here making noise at all hourse, throw rocks at my door, slam on my door and be a nuisance for the sake of being jerks because no one will do anything." I explained about the multiple families living in one place that was happening all over (which of course isn't just against the law but violates their lease - they should have been evicted). They said "yeah, we're aware of it, we're cracking down on it now, any chance you'd stay?" "Hell no. I complained about it enough times and nothing was done, I'm out." I know a lot of the residences left because of this. I don't know how it's run now, I understand it's a lot more expensive. Honestly I wouldn't even care about the people moving in 2 extra families into their 2 bedroom apartment if the people showed the slightest courtesy and stopped their brats from annoying everyone but that wasn't the case. read more

waking up greatful for a outstanding property manager. second time leasing here and I can't tell you how happy I am with manaugment. thank you Mandy for going above and beyond always. I highly recommend living here . read more

Mandy is the best . Very very helpful. . And patient. Excellent customer service . .

I have been at Creekside for almost a year now and I have really made it my home. The office staff is very helpful always and friendly. I like the location where it is at of Walnut Creek. I definitely have had a great experience here compared to other properties I have been at. Maintenance staff is great as well. read more

This place is reasonable. Nothing great about it or bad just average. However the current maintenance guy is bringing down this place. He is the most laziest person I've seen and he let's the grounds get dirty and trashy. He is not picking up trash and recently has allowed an old tire sit in some bushes out front for over 3 weeks. He let's trash pile up in the hall way and in the trash dump. Note to management, he doesn't do any work. He is wasting your money and needs to be monitored. The previous guy, I think his name is Art at the least was seen cleaning. I am fortunate to see him once in a month. Plus I think he is a little creepy. Doesn't give off a good vibe- like I wonder if he installed cameras in my bathroom creepy. The manager is a very nice lady. Kind considerate and general pleasant. She seems to have things in order. read more

Excellent customer service, over the phone, very large spaces and clean property, looking forward to quality and become soon a resident on this property. read more

I want to start by saying Mandy the property manager is very efficient, friendly, understanding, and thorough. She takes care of concerns right away and doesn't procrastinate or give me the run around. Honestly a great person. Now the complex itself has its pros as well. Firstly the location is superb. Within walking distance of Broadway Plaza, Movie Theatre, and other eateries/shops. The complex isn't very large but it stays clean. Donald, the maintance man is great as well. Repairs/upgrades are done within 24 hrs or less. He's friendly and checks up to ensure tenants are comfortable. The only downside would have to be parking, since the complex isn't huge there is only 1 parking space per unit with no additional parks for guests. Not a huge concern but may be a deal breaker for some. Overall the pros definitely outweigh the cons. If you're looking for a clean and quiet complex this is it! read more

If 0 stars was an option I would have chose that. I have lived here for a little over a year, and the current manager is horrible. She chooses which rules she wants to follow. Allows her and her daughter to have their own parking spaces while everyone is only allowed 1 space. She does not communicate in English well which creates a real barrier when trying to communicate about apartment situations. Ever since becoming the manager there has been nonstop construction leaving walkways and the complex completely dirty. When the building was being painted I even had a painter ILLEGALLY enter my house while on vacation to put things inside my home and on my bed!! All she could do was offer a carpet cleaning. I would stay clear away from this place if you can! read more

Every now and then I think to myself "gee whiz I'd really like to get in on some of that 'extorting wait staff for free food and engaging in public feuds with restaurant owners' action I keep hearing about, but then shit like this happens and I'm all "MUST. USE. POWERS. FOR. GOOD." Both times I've visited my friends in this complex they have been scolded by the management for being too loud and having people over. Both visits occurred on a Saturday afternoon and involved no (actual) filming of amateur foot fetish porn. My friends certainly did not deserve to be "dressed down" and tut-tutted in front of their guests by the management, especially when there was artichoke dip ready to come out of the oven and a bunch of vegetarians in desperate need of a distraction from all the fucking steak and sausage around them. From now on at every party I attend I will designate someone "party scapegoat" who can take the heat and hear the complaints from neighbors so that the host(s) does not need to pull away from the kitchen and I am not left looking like an asshole with a bunch of chips and bread in my hands with nothing to dip them in. And there, my friends, is the silver lining: though the management here have cost themselves their professional reputation (and the chance my friends will renew their lease), their cruelty and wackness have helped introduce what will surely be the best addition to party culture since the "don't tag photos of people having sex at your party unless you know for sure they're listed as in a relationship" rule. read more

The office manager doesn't wear a mask - The place has mold, it is horribly humid. It is hotter than hell in summer and colder than hell in the winter. The place is kept up poorly, and response from management has been crap. They charge something for extra utilities and from what I hear from others it ranges usually over 100 per month. Even though real utilities cost 20$ Live on the first floor or die. They did NOT insulate the joint. read more

I visited friends here and the management is attrocious! We had a BBQ on the patio and at 3 pm the manager came over to tell us the landlord was complaining about noise and was upset that we were BBQ'ing on the patio. The manager pulled my friend outside and said the landlord was upset. The landlord, Laura, came over smoking a cigarette and verbally accosted my friend. She spoke aggressively and was sloppy, not as professional as you'd expect a landlord to be. My friend reminded them that in the contract he signed, the quiet hours don't start at 3p.m. When my friend asked the manager which part of the agreement was violated, the manager couldn't give an answer. My friend mentioned to the manager that there are loud children riding bikes around the complex screaming late in the evening, but the manager shrugged it off. My recommendation: don't live here! I've lived in both White House and Archstone apartments, in Walnut Creek, and was appauled at the way tenants are treated at Creekside Terrace. I noticed a lot of vacant apartments in the complex, I guess I know why now. You'd think the apartment owner would care, maybe if they see enough empty apartments they'll start to care... read more

We've lived here for a few years now and I have to say our experience has only gotten better as time goes on. The manager (Mandy) is great and always willing to help! Not to mention, love the fact that we're close to downtown. read more

It's times like this I wish that there was a "Zero" star rating. "Eek! Methinks not" doesn't even come close to how horrible this place is. I currently live here, and have since April. It's horrible here. I'm not talking about the actual units however, so I suppose they're worth at most 1 star. The main issue that I'm having is the management. The landlord has a very "when it bothers me" approach to managing the property. I have had her complain during the early afternoon, morning and evening about average amounts of noise coming from my apartment, yet when my neighbors play their loud music into the night, complete with a pounding sub woofer, she's nowhere to be found. She herself even sits outside late at night talking loudly and laughing a laugh that could only be compared to Rosanne Barr. Maintenance doesn't follow up appointments, let alone return calls. I've been waiting 2 months for my cabinet to be repaired. I had to wait 4 for them to fix an outlet that was a fire hazard. Lastly, if you enjoy a 5 am "wake up call" from either the garbage company (which happens to come three times a week at this hour) or the various resident psychodramas that occur on a more than regular basis, then this may be the place for you. However, if you're like me, and don't like landlords who are combative, like maintenance that actually does their job, and walls that aren't so thin you can hear every squeek, moan, and dirty phrase that you're neighbors are using that evening as you try to sleep, then this may not be the place for you. April 2011 cannot come soon enough... read more

To say I am ill impressed by this complex would be to say the least. Between a ill kept grounds to the management staff who was atrocious. Her professional manner toward current tenants and possible future tenants is horrible, I have personally witnessed her berate someone in a very hostile manner to which I would liken to the Gestapo of Germany. The other thing I liked was the one marked handicap spot has a sign over it that says no parking( so good luck to my disabled friends). I would defiantly tell anyone who asked or was listening DO NOT RENT HERE!! I might recommend a nice refrigerator box behind a dumpster as the box might be cleaner and the rats treat you better. read more

I really like Creekside Terrace Apartments. The place itself is nice and it comes with a parking spot downstairs which is very convenient. The landlord and the contractor on site are very easy to work with and are very nice. You can tell they care about their job and they put effort into addressing the issues you bring to their attention. They are easy to communicate with and it makes living there much less stressful, especially compared to other landlords. The price is also very competitive for the area. I would definitely recommend this place. read more

Horrible horrible horrible! Warning for future tenants! DO NOT APPLY OR LEAVE A HOLDING DEPOSIT! It's a scam! FPI Management/CREEKSIDE Terrace offers anyone to apply online, when you do there is an application fee of $50 and a holding deposit of $100 (but advertised $99, but whatever) when you apply there is a disclaimer saying if you're not approved you will be reimbursed your holding deposit. Application fees are usually non-refundable (which is fine). But it's been almost TWO WHOLE MONTHS and I still haven't received my holding deposit back. I wasn't approved so Natelia property manager said my holding deposit would be refunded to me. Weeks go by (no check in the mail) so I call and email the property and the leasing manager still is clueless, doesn't respond to emails or voicemails. She's very timid and doesn't have answers to anything! It is always "I'll get back to you" but you'll never get a call or email back. She's obviously too young and un-experienced for the role! I've made several attempts to reach out to her even stopped by to get information on who I should contact in order to get my refund back but even then when she answered the door all she did was write down my address to mail the check to on a sticky note and said I would receive the check in two business days. One week later I still haven't received anything in the mail so at this point I'm frustrated. I've reached out to FPI Management (haven't heard anything back yet) this all just sounds too sketchy and scam like to me! I don't know if she took the $100 and now avoiding me, I don't know if upper management isn't getting back to her so she doesn't know what to do, I don't know if she just being lazy and insensitive to my situation BUT someone needs to be professional and courteous and reach out to all applicants in ample time especially regarding money they've taken! WARNING WARNING WARNING DO NOT APPLY! Plus property is very old, wood that keeps up the building looks questionable and not safe at all! I'm so glad I dodged this bullet!!!!!!!!! So disappointing!!!!!! read more

Creek side Terrance works extremely hard in making sure their residents expectations are met! The staff is so helpful and get work done at a timely matter. I definitely recommend staying here if you need some reassurance and want to stay at a safe community! read more

Great place to live. Its close to downtown Walnut Creek where all the shopping and Restaurants are. The rental pricing you cant beat for this area. I would definitely recommend moving here, its a small and quaint Community. read more

I've lived here for 3 years now and honestly, only becuase I don't have the money at this time for movers and a new deposit. This apt complex has fit my needs for the most part up until recently. The units are close to downtown, have lots of storage and has a small yard if you are on the first floor which is necessary for my service animal (pets are not allowed as of last year, unless they have service paperwork.) I also love my maintenance guy- he's always prompt and not creepy. That's about where the positives stop. The location has a small laundry room that they screw you with- it's $2 to wash and $2 to dry! Insane. They also use quarters and rarely work which is highly frustrating. My rent has gone up $100 every year on average since I moved in. (Costing me more than $300 more a month.) Also, they charge water, trash and sewage with your rent (sounds nice) but this fee has also gone up by more than $40 in the last 3 years (currently $60/month). This increase is likely due to the neglect of the plumbing and sprinklers on the lot. Many are broken and after the sprinklers are on, you're left with flooding and water waste. The pipes are old in the building so there is little water pressure and when taking a shower the temperature consistently varies drastically. The units were built in the 70's and have all original fixtures. Might I add that although my rent has increased significantly, I have not seen any upgrades to my unit. The other tenants here are polite for the most part, but there are a few "questionable" ones (and don't forget the guy who yells and plays a piano at all hours!) The walls are very thin and you can hear everything from people upstairs, to the garbage trucks, to the crazy guy who thinks he's a musician or maybe even killing himself next door! The units are very dark due to the overgrown trees and plants on the property- good for shade... and SPIDERS. Parking is also a problem- though I can't really blame the complex, it's just Creekside. You get one covered parking spot at the location and the rest is street parking, which is lined with red and it doesn't help that WC meters are now 24 hours. I did find that you can rent a spot at Elk's Lodge down the street if necessary- $70/month if available. Management is nice but when there's a concern, only tells you what you want to hear with little follow through. I will be moving at the end of my lease term. Do NOT move here. read more

One issue and one issue only with this place is the MAINTENANCE guy JOHN he does the worse job I have ever seen!! He does not clean at all! He takes forever to respond to maintenance requests then when he does show up he does a subpar job at best. He is also very unfriendly I have not spoke to a single person in this complex that has had something good to say about him. FPI Mgmt you are wasting a salary in this guy based on performance. Ms Ma the owner of this complex if you read this please take note he is not helping keep your property value and you should do a surprise visit and speak to some of the residents to see the morale of how your property is being taken care of. Sad situation. read more

This review is for Julie, the new apartment manager. She is very friendly, considerate and understanding. When you move to an apartment, it is important to have a nice manager who can understand your needs. We are not longer tenants at Creekside Terrace but she is the best manager they have had since many years ago. Thank you again Julie for your assistance! read more

I just moved across the country. Creekside Terrace was so helpful and understanding throughout the process. Many places I encountered did not recognize the difficulties associated with such a move, and were not as flexible working with me over the phone and through email. There were no hidden fees or paperwork, all information was provided up front and I moved in with ease. The property manager, McKinsey, is super friendly and helpful! She made the experience so positive and easy. I am so grateful to have found my new home here. read more

This is absolutely the worst apartment complex I've ever lived in. I don't even know where to begin. Heidi, the former apartment manager, is not only rude, but also one of the main reasons I had a horrible experience living here. When I signed the lease, I was given a permit to park in a specific spot by an apartment manager that was in her place while she was on pregnancy leave. When she came back half way through my lease, my boyfriend's motorcycle almost got towed and it was THEN we found out she had rented out our parking spot. No notification, no nothing. When I asked her about it, she gave me an attitude about how I don't have a parking spot. Ridiculous. There's so much I could go on about but the bottom line is that I'm making sure I put a bad review about this place and about her. The maintenance guy was very friendly and nice, but other than the location this place is absolutely not worth it. If I could do it all over again, I would've moved somewhere else. read more
