I was on the planning committee, and was happy we choose this venue. During set up, their staff was there to assist us with tables, table clothes, big displays, podiums, colored napkins to match our school colors and much more, all with good cheer and willingness. We offered attendees a choice of 5 different entrees, and each table was served all at the same time, and first table to last was under 5 minutes. Considering we were a big group (there were 107 of us) they serviced us well. They let us use their bar as a 'no host' bar, and the drinks were good and fairly priced. The food quality really was excellent. It was every bit as good as going to a fine restaurant and ordering off the menu. No one complained about anything, from the filet mignon to the squash ravioli. All of us were quite pleased. They even accommodated a few gluten-free meals and the like. The setting is also quite beautiful. They let us use their big patio right off the dining room for a memorial table and to hang out, and everybody commented on how nice the golf course looked. It's like a thrift store for crafts. Most items are used and in good condition. We saw all kinds of yarn, wood, stamps, sewing supplies, and even birthday and Christmas items. Everything has is in it's own section but does take some time to look around, if you want something specific. As for the crafting area, it cost about $8 for 1 hour of crafting. They had tons of recycled items available for crafting. It did take us a bit to look around and decide on something to create. But once we did, we found lots of things to use. They did have glue guns to use but I didn't see paints, or sharp things for cutting. They also offer birthday parties in their crafting area. ReCreate is a crafters dream but an organizers fever dream. It can be a little hard to look but it's best to just take your time and enjoy the walk around.

We used this venue for my daughter's wedding in October, and unfortunately, our experience was…read moreextremely disappointing. The staff member in charge that night was not friendly from the beginning. Later in the evening, she told us that we had to clean the entire facility before midnight or we face $2,000.00 penalty. My husband and I started cleaning at about 9 PM, which meant we never got to enjoy the celebration at all. She also insisted that we had to do a walkthrough with her before leaving, which felt very unprofessional. We chose not to tell our daughter that night because we didn't want to ruin her special day. The next morning, we learned that we actually had until 10 AM the following day to clean up--something the staff member never mentioned. This caused unnecessary stress and completely changed the experience for us. The venue offered us $500 for the trouble and an additional $500 credit for a future booking, but we will never use this place again. A wedding should be a joyful experience, not one overshadowed by miscommunication and unprofessional behavior. Sadly, this venue turned what should have been a beautiful night into a stressful one.
