Not the best location but great apartment complex for the price. Maintenance is fast and professional. They have updated the community amenities from when I moved in 1 year ago... When I first moved in the Credit Card machines for laundry room were consistently down and Volleyball sand was rocky and net broken. Both of these issues have been resolved. Everyone in community is very friendly too. Demographic is all over the board. Nearby Cherry Creek Trail and Parks. Not the best bar scene. Basically 1 bar close by and about a $20 cab fare to get downtown. read more

I have lived at this complexd for 5 years, and I can't believe the new regulations that they have put into effect!!! It is outrageous!! I have had automatic rent deposit for the last 1 1/2 years. When I renewed my lease, I assumed that the rent would still be deducted automatically. I had authorized a withdrawal ceiling of $100 above my average rent & utility amount. Imagine my surprise when I received a notice that my rent was late, and that I was being charged with a late fee PLUS an eviction legal fee!!!! These fees added up to an additional 25% over my rent. An eviction notice fee on the 4th of the month!!!!! I couldn't even get customer service to promise to call me back about this issue. "I will pass it on to our leadership team." The customer service assistant said that someone might or might not call me back! This company keeps assigning all these miscellaneous additional fees through their utility charges. The bills are never from the actual utility providers. I have called. There is no way to verify the charges with Excel or any other service provider. What do we get for all of these fees? Well, we have bugs, in spite of paying extermination fees, and the doggie bag containers are always empty, in spite of paying pet fees. After 5 years, I can't wait to be done with this place! read more

I've never left a review on Yelp before but I feel people need to know- DO NOT LIVE HERE. I am a travel contract therapist, so I move every 10 months or so. This is by far the WORST place I have ever lived. They will nickel and dime you, lie and manipulate the system to take advantage of you, and will not support you if you are in need of help. Not to mention they refused to accept my ESA despite being licensed/trained and receiving several letters from my doctor regarding my diagnosis. This past weekend, I was concerned about a fellow resident following a domestic violence situation in which 911 was called, and they could not have been any less concerned about the potential danger this resident was in. They hardly ever answer the phone and do not consistently reply to emails. It is extremely overpriced for apartments that are falling apart and the service you receive (I'm moving to a way nicer place for nearly half the price). Do yourself a favor and live ANYWHERE else! read more

After coming from a nightmare of a living and landlord situation before, this place is a breath of fresh air. Maintenance staff is beyond respectful and my service request was responded to promptly. (Would have been faster if I actually answered the phone for unknown numbers.) Heck, the guy who came to fix the few things that were wrong gushed over my comic book collection and we had a great conversation about books. The facilities are kept very clean (although two washers are not working in the laundry room) and other residents have been very welcoming. My boxer loves the dog park and has even made a few new friends. The complex is quiet which is great considering I work full time and I'm a student. Needless to say, Hedwig and I are happy to be here after having such a hard time at my previous apartment. read more

A year and a half ago when I moved in I gave Creekside a HUGE thumbs up. James and Sebastian were super kind and always helpful! Dylan the maintenance guy was super prompt and always a pleasure! Now that the new management has come in I have had nothing but trouble. My water system is shut down at least once a month, with just a short 24 hour notice. The new management has no sense of communication, customer service and training their employees. I have felt personally harassed and mistreated by Tiffany the manager and her attitude is always abut protecting herself and the profit rather than helping you with the issues that she is responsible for. If I could take back resigning a 15 month lease I would. I have boasted about creekside in the past convincing three different parties to sign leases here and now I regret it on their behalf. I will say that creekside has a great sense of community, is affordable for the area, and I do feel safe here, but because of the new management I would not recommend as prices raise! read more

After living at Creekside for two years I can attest that most of the negative reviews here are overblown. The leasing agents and maintenance staff are wonderful and very professional. They have been available every time I come into the office and have taken care of any maintenance issues right away. It was never difficult for me to get in touch with any one at the office. The dog park is not as terrible as previously described. If it is not your cup of tea, the larger Glendale city dog park is right next door. Creekside might not be the nicest apartment complex in Denver, but having seen other apartments in the area for similar monthly rent it is a great value. The apartment complex is only a few steps away from a brand new bridge and trail system that runs along Cherry Creek - perfect for dog owners or outdoor enthusiasts! As with any apartment, however, you should get everything in writing on your lease instead of verbal confirmation. Happy apartment hunting! read more

Do NOT waste your money here. The first day I moved in, a pipe broke under my kitchen floor. After a week without a functioning kitchen, I basically had to beg them to come finish the job they started. It took another week to get the floors, walls, paint, etc. done. And of course, I received none of my rent back for this time and extreme inconvenience. I had maintenance out 3 times to fix my refrigerator. It still is not functioning properly. Basically, it needs to be replaced, but they are too cheap to do that. I complained multiple times to office staff about my loud, messy, frequently intoxicated neighbors. I informed them each time that there were 3 adults living in a one bedroom apartment. I was assured this would be taken care of. Not surprisingly, it is months later, and nothing has been done. Because of these issues, I broke my lease and moved early. I paid 2 months rent for when the apartment was not even occupied and now they're trying to charge me another month's rent! On top of this, I thoroughly cleaned before moving, yet without even seeing the apartment, they're still trying to charge me a cleaning fee. This place is not worth the money and is definitely not worth the frustration. read more

Its been pretty decent for the past 10 months. Its in a great location and we don't hear traffic from the apartment. Unfortunately, many dog owners are quite disrespectful in regards to picking up feces and keeping their pets on leash, but there is a maintenance person that comes around picking up feces. The apartment crew definitely makes good effort at keeping that aspect in check. Maintenance issues turnaround has been great and I always see staff busy around the grounds. The proprty is old, so of course there are related issues. We have been given the option to upgrade all kitchen appliances, which is a nice easy to continue improvements. read more

I've enjoyed living at Creekside for 7-1/3 years. The management and maintenance staff are professional, courteous and timely in their responses. In the 7+ years I've been living, I can think of only two times when a maintenance request took more than the same day I submitted it to be completed. The location is excellent, alongside Cherry Creek and the Cherry Creek trail, and convenient to many businesses along Colorado Boulevard. I highly recommend Creekside! read more

Just moved into Creekside Apartments and i could not be happier! The staff is super helpful and more then willing to work with the residents. My favorite feature would have to be the dog park, all the neighbors are nice friendly people and there are no dog issues in the park. All the dogs get along and the community is very clean. If you have a dog and are looking for a place to live in a great, friendly, and clean location you can not beat Creekside Apartments! read more

Hello. So I would like to start with the fact that when I went into the leasing office for the first time, the guy at the front desk asked which other places I was considering and then told me the other places were terrible and showed me that they had bad reviews online. I explained to him that I was a very easy tenant and had never complained about an apartment before and therefore was not concerned about having a bad experience with an apartment.... and then I moved into Creekside. Do not ever make the horrible mistake of moving to this place, like I did. I moved from a very run down, $400/month apartment in a bad part of Aurora and this was a HUGE step down in customer service and reliability. About once a month there would be a letter posted either on our apartment door or some common area and each time it was just a note to let you know how they planned to make Creekside a worse place to live. One note explained that they didn't feel like keeping the hot tub clean anymore so they were going to take it out. One note explained that the apartments had bugs and they were going to charge the residents to remove them. After that each bill included a pest removal fee AND a pest removal admin fee. Which meant Creekside was not only charging for pest removal, they were charging me to charge me to remove pests from their disgusting apartments. There was a note saying they were pulling out the laundry machines to replace them with ones that were more expensive and only ran on coins rather than a prepaid card (which meant all the money on the prepaid card was useless), another of these notes explained that they would no longer sign for packages... the list goes on and on and the theme is pure laziness and only caring about making the staff's lives easier (and making Creekside a worse place to live). When I told them I would be moving out they told me I had to pay for professional cleaning and could not clean the apartment myself. I heard about six staff members brag about the fact that they turn around apartments so fast... and yes, as everything else at Creekside they do it at the expense of their customers and to make a few extra bucks. They replaced the wood floor in the apartment above mine at 11:30pm on a weeknight and refused to return my calls the next day when I called to ask that they stop construction at a reasonable time. Also be prepared to pay for parking in a parking lot that is absolutely destroyed and full of potholes. They do no maintenance on it and it is never even plowed. Another thing that is just to nickle and dime you into paying more money. I moved out on January 20 and was told "we will use what is left of your deposit to pay your final Xcel bill after we assume responsibility for the account". I am just finding out that they never actually assumed responsibility for the Xcel and Xcel is asking me for more money. Creekside assumes that I should pay until someone else moves in because that is the kind of company they are. They believe every expense and inconvenience should be passed on to the residents, and I have come to expect this from them. They also scheduled my walk through and told me I had to be present or I would get charged for it, I drove 40 minutes to be there and they didn't show up and then did the walk through at a different time without me present and without any notice or reschedule. I have tried to contact them on several occasions since moving out (the walk through, the Xcel bill, etc.) and they only let you talk to a human being if you are attempting to rent a new apartment. If you aren't, they send you to voice-mail. I said I was looking for an apartment to get a person on the phone and as soon as she found out I was one of the many, many people screwed over by Creekside she forwarded me to Voice-mail. I have never received a call back from them after leaving a voice-mail. I am going to have to drive down there once again to talk to their lazy, apathetic staff about they money they are still stealing from me. read more

I recently lived at Creekside and I have to say, I was highly disappointed with the place. There s a weird smell that seems to come from the water pipes and cabinets. Can t quite put my finger on it, but it smells weird every time you open a cabinet (either in the kitchen or the bathroom.) Definitely need a water filter, as the water doesn't taste very clean and leaves black specks on glasses. Another issue is, I can see sunlight all the way around my front door (from the inside of my apartment - see attached picture) which equals LOTS of bugs. I've honestly never seen so many different bugs in my life (luckily, no bed bugs.) Also, it seems as though bugs are also coming up my tub drain. Almost every other day, I go in there and there are bugs in my tub. 2nd my screens were not on my windows when I first moved in. After I requested that they be put on, I noticed they were ripped (which I assumed would they would have noticed and fixed) and wouldn't do any good keeping even more bugs out. No fresh air for me. 3rd I also had to ask that the cabinets be sanded (pic attached), because they were giving me slivers. Let s see, what else the paint job was ultra crappy paint on the carpet, hair painted ONTO the bathroom door (pic attached), just lazy work, in my opinion. The walls are paper thin and if your neighbor is having a conversation, you can basically hear word for word. Since I ve been mostly negative, I will end on a positive note: the maintenance crew is pretty quick about responding to your requests. Also, the bathroom tile and tub are in good condition. Parking spaces are large, which is also nice. But all in all; way over priced for the quality of what you get. read more

I've been here about twenty months and really enjoy living here. The complex is not brand new and is obviously dated, but everything works OK and the location on the bike path is great. I've had maintenance issues but they've all been resolved in a timely manner. The area around my apt is quiet and the neighbors don't bother me at all. I've looked online at other apts. but have not found one that I prefer without paying much more. read more

Creekside was an overall unpleasant experience. Pros: -Great snow/ice management. -There was always parking. -Quiet neighborhood, mostly working professionals or people who work from home. -Dylan from maintenance handled most of our issues. He does great work. Seth in the leasing office really knows his stuff and is very helpful. He was never hard to get in touch with, whether I e-mailed, called, or walked in. These two patient men should be given a raise ASAP. These pros do not outweigh the cons. Cons: -They charge a cleaning fee of $125 upon move out. Our lease says that we agree to their move out terms but doesn't mention this specifically. Apartment still had filthy vents (I'm talking thick dust that prevented even seeing the color of the vent), cabinets, baseboards, carpet, and also had earwig infestations upon move-in so I am disgusted that that is considered professionally cleaned. I can't believe they took our money for cleaning when we had to thoroughly clean the mess of an apartment when we moved in. -Paint all over the floors and fixtures. -Doors don't fit the frames. Drawers don't work even after repeated repairs. -All units are different and you don't know what cabinets and counters you get until move-in. We were shown a nice model and given a dirty apartment with low quality cabinets, doors, and so on. -We had bare dirt outside our unit (slippery and dangerous in winter, ugly all year) and we were promised grass at move-in. Neighbor has lived here for 5 years and requested grass several times. Still no grass. -Washers and dryers- the washers leak frequently. Theft and vandalism (hundreds of dollars of our clothes were damaged and stolen) are common and management did not respond to my e-mail requesting a solution to those issues. No screens on windows result in bug issues in the laundry room, and office says they won't put screens in these windows after I asked for screens. -The mail is a mess. They don't accept packages so I spent hours of my year at the post office. Perfectly addressed mail was constantly returned to the people sending it to me. I asked them repeatedly to stop delivering the previous tenant's mail. The list goes on. -No phone service anywhere. Not a good place for a person who needs to take work calls at home. Fine if this doesn't matter to you. -We did no damage to the apartment. I have never received anything less than my full deposit from any apartment that I have ever lived in. After triple charges for utilities, double pet rent, prorated rent for a week after our lease (???), and the professional cleaning fees, we were only returned $54 of our $400 deposit. What a rip off. Overall, great and friendly maintenance and leasing staff but probably the worst management and living conditions I've ever dealt with. Would not recommend this place to our friends and I am much happier in our new apartment. read more

When I spoke to the landlord months ago she said she would work on fixing the issue. Yet about 5 days a week, my apartment still smells like various types of smoke. I will be breaking my lease at the soonest possible date in search of better management a place that wont nickel and dime me. Whatever you do, DO NOT RENT HERE. I lived there for approx. 9 years and saw it go through numerous managers and maintenance personnel. Their job life expectancy was about 6 months before they were replaced or knew it was time to move on. After they acquired new owners a few year ago they seem to really go way downhill I think due to their new Big corporate ownership that seemed to be concerned with cutting costs or maximizing their profits. A few years back after the tenant above me moved out they decided to eliminate the carpet, which they normally always replaced. They instead went with hardwood floors. I had several upstairs neighbors before this and I never heard them. After they started using hardwood floors they moved in the most inconsiderate person I have ever encountered after renting for the last 40 years. I had to complain about the person walking like they needed to bury their heels into the floor every time they walked, also they had a seemingly obsessive compulsive disorder to tromp back and forth dozens and dozens of times rapidly. They also seem to like to dance with the chairs on the hardwood floor, it really seemed like they were trying to bother me. My complaints fell on deaf ears. They did nothing to get the person to stop until after approx. a monthly complaint for a year and half, and I did it in writing, I finally threatened to get the police involved and to prosecute her. It finally let up enough to where it was just bearable. I did ask for and received an early release on my lease. Before I moved out there was two times I had to have them fix the furnace, it was old and the sensors and switches were wearing out. Even the maintenance man said I had one of the older furnaces in the complex and they were just going to replace it after I moved out. Two weeks after I moved they sent me a bill that said I owed them $1498, $1000 for a new furnace, $345 to clean the duct work, $100 for paint, and $80 for blinds. I went in and talked to Tiffany about this and her reply to the furnace charge was they bought that one just 8 years ago. I told her that was funny I lived there for 9 yeas and it has always been the same. She then said they bought it right before I moved in. Later while the furnace was still in the apt. I went in and took pictures of its insides indicating it was bought and installed in 2004, 5 years before I moved in. When I moved out there was nothing wrong with the furnace they just thought they could charge me $1000 and replace it. This was a blatant attempt to simply rip me off with fraudulent statements. I have the photos of the service tag in case they want to try and collect, and I think they are stupid enough to waste our time trying. The $345 charge for duct cleaning is also bogus, that is a part of regular building maintenance, not something I did damage to. While I lived there they replaced my blinds twice, no charge simple because they were old but when I moved out they wanted to charge me for a new set. I lived there 9 years and after that long the paint is also a part of normal maintenance, something else they do automatically as normal building maintenance. My point is if you decide to live there they will do what ever they can to rip you off when you move out, a typical big corporation tactic they think they can get away with. They are liars, cheats, rip offs, and be prepared to put up with a of of bull shit if you want to live here. Beware of the lady in the office also, she is not customer friendly, just very superficial with her employer who is most important, not you the tenant. This was the worst renting experience ever. First off I would like to start with is what you see is NOT what you get. The staff at Creekside is ok.. Besides for Michelle who is a leasing agent I would have ditched this place a long time ago.. The property manage, Todd, and the Assistant, Jayson, have a few lessons to learn on appropriate professionalism and how to keep a tenant happy.. The two of them I could compare to the three stooges. What my main complaint is beware that when you move out to that not only will you receive $0 of your deposit but Jayson will make sure to charge you for normal wear and tear and you will get a bill for at least $400.00. I have NEVER in all my years that I have rented have ever been charged for anything since I take the time to care for the apartment and go to them whenever I have an maintence issue and clean very well when I leave. I was told twice to not worry about shampooing the carpets from the staff since I was in this apartment for over a year and to not worry about it. I would like to add that I did have a dog and paid my monthly fee plus my pet deposit and was told that this would cover any carpet issues. Half of my bill was the replalcement of the carpet and I was told it was dirty. WELL, when you told me twice not to worry about that I didn't and now that's an issue, that is BS in my opinion and the other was a couple light scratches on a counter and charged me $140 for that. When I opened this envelope thinking I was going to have my deposit yet it was a bill I about had a heart attack. I have been trying to get a hold of them for TWO WEEKS now and I even got into contact with their corporate office and I have yet to hear anything for either of them. Whats the point of putting down a pet deposit fee and paying a monthly pet fee when you are still going to charge me. I know that if I had cleaned the carpets like i said I would there wouldn't be an issue of this right now. Jayson will lie straight to your face and beware of this community. It is not what it is cracked out to be and they will nickle and dime you for everything. Please reconsider your place of living if you are planning on living here. Take it from me, it is not worth your time or patience to deal with this disorganized staff and community. read more

On call 24 hour maintenance and my understanding, at least one of the Team lives on site with Laundry rooms, workout room, pool table & visiting family and friends love the pool-all on site. If you take the time to get to know your surroundings and meet the Team, you may find a welcoming place to settle down. I have been able to call Creekside my home for years. We sign the Good Neighbor Commitment addendum, so that means We are responsible for our complex as much as the Creekside Office Team. The yr we had the over whelming spring snowstorm; we, the neighbors, came out to helped each other dig our vehicles out of the snow. The state/city plows had yet to reach our area, so noone was getting in or out. Here at Creekside, we schedule online and you set a time frame and can request to be present while the work is completed. If you don't have PC access, this may seem a bit of a hassle, but you can go into the office for assistance. For those of you with pets, this is a pet friendly complex for sure- from little doggies to very large dogs being allowed. Pick up, clean up and keep your pet's food in sealed, airtight containers-it deters unwanted critters. The Maintenance Staff can be seen blowing leaves or other debris away from the entry ways and patios and respond to work orders by priority. Seriously, if you want to live in a "touch of the Forest" in the middle of the city, come call Creekside Apartments home! Report any and all problems no matter how small they may seem to you! Especially dripping faucets or leaks-most likely impacting the apartment below or next to you. read more
