Vintage cars and trucks add to the venues character. The barn features two large sliding barn doors upstairs and down and feature antler handles. The concrete floors include stamped planks at the enterance of the barn and a compass rose greets guests just inside the door. Glass chandeliers and string lights line the ceiling beams and large log rounds and iron work form the railings leading to two grand staircases ending at the stage. A large prep kitchen complete with refrigeration and oven lead to an outdoor space for catering vendors. A large service bar, coat closet and plenty of storage are hidden throughout the venue. Tables and linens are included in the contract. Full hook-up camping and several chain hotels are within 30 miles in either direction of the venue. Lots of natural light due to all of the windows and lets a gentle breeze float through the barn. Simple elements such as willow trees and apple trees around the property, and an occasional chicken policing the grounds, make it all feel so natural. Laurie and Jason are wonderful genuine people who are have created a wonderful site for a variety of events; receptions ,weddings, corporate or family events. They were transparent and clear about the process, pricing, and space. They worked closely with all our vendors. Located just off of I-5, the Red Barn, has great parking, clean well maintained facilities and associated equipment (tables, chairs, etc.). The location was definitely not what I expected (thinking concrete pier), but it was super cute and we got a chance to walk around as of course we did not find the brewery until the last moment. The pier has shops within the dock area and the dock outside itself has an amazing view of the water, and you could hear the wildlife surrounding the entire place. Quite an experience, I was not expecting but very happy that we stumbled upon this gem. Parking can be tricky and honestly we didn't feel we were going where we should be as the bridge didn't really look stable enough to drive over but it was. It is a must see stop while visiting Astoria.
