I recently rented the Red Barn Studios to provide for our father's funeral reception. The Red Barn Studios team was so helpful, professional, and easy to work with. Their attention to detail and flexibility was incredible. Clearly the space is amazing, the old barn has a lovely air of warmth, and welcoming space . Such a beautiful venue and surrounding grounds! The layout of the barn is wonderful for a variety of events. The space upstairs and downstairs are both amazing. Lots of natural light due to all of the windows and lets a gentle breeze float through the barn. Simple elements such as willow trees and apple trees around the property, and an occasional chicken policing the grounds, make it all feel so natural. Laurie and Jason are wonderful genuine people who are have created a wonderful site for a variety of events; receptions ,weddings, corporate or family events. They were transparent and clear about the process, pricing, and space. They worked closely with all our vendors. Located just off of I-5, the Red Barn, has great parking, clean well maintained facilities and associated equipment (tables, chairs, etc.). Our guests and friends were all pleasantly were surprised and amazed that such a great space is located in Chehalis. From a price point the Red Barn is very economical and worth the price. I attended and photographed the most amazing wedding at this location. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites and there was shuttle service to and from the wedding all evening. There was plenty of room at the facility to host the wedding upstairs, a reception downstairs while photos were taken, then dinner seating was upstairs and the food was buffet style downstairs (we chose to cater from Portland, because we had friends do it). The bathrooms were spacious and conventient. There is also a "family" bathroom for changing the little ones or taking a "nursing break." I would highly recommend this location for any event. read more

The venue is awesome! We hosted our daughter's wedding there recently and it was beautiful. Jason was very helpful and great to work with, Laurie was rude & unaccommodating every step of the way. Bring money.....considering the location, this venue is very pricey. I hear that most locals can't afford the off season prices. Be sure to ask them about additional costs. They require an additional liability insurance that no standard insurance carrier can add to your existing homeowners policy. Cost is $186 for day of wedding coverage. As I understand, Red Barn could get the liability coverage added to their policy for about $200 per year. "Rubbish" removal will cost you.... read more

We had a great experience with our wedding back in 2014. We were treated very well and the venue is great as are the hosts. You do shit down the reception fairly early (by wedding standards) so just have an after party locale picked out (any good bar in centralia will do). The facilities are great and it was a very laid back vibe. Highly recommend. read more

Two of my BFFs got married here last weekend. Jason, the owner, was there Friday when we were setting up, and Saturday helping run things. He was extremely friendly and professional and a pleasure to work with. The venue is absolutely gorgeous: the barn is well kept up and beautifully appointed (sweet little veranda on the side, pretty bathrooms, gorgeous staircase to the 2nd floor) but still rustic. The grounds include a sweeping view down from the barn to the trees that line the river, chickens, a little apple orchard, and a garden. Only one thing went wrong: one of the lights burned out the morning of the wedding and of course it was the one that's nearly impossible to change! Jason was extremely apologetic and was trying to figure out ways to make it happen - but we were running short on time and deemed it something we could easily ignore. In the end, nobody noticed, but I was really impressed with his eagerness to fix the issue. I highly recommend this venue. read more

We went to a wedding at this venue... The property is beautiful along with the barn. On their website they don't have much information about parking of large vehicles... Like an RV. We were coming from out of town and obviously we're going to have to park Our RV While we were at the wedding. I parked by another RV as that's where I was told to park. One of the owners the gentleman approached me in a very gruff manner and said you're not camping here And you need to be out of here at the end of the night. I explained to this gentleman but I had no intentions of camping there I was parking there while we were at the wedding... He still kind of had an attitude... I shrug my shoulders and went on with the wedding and enjoyed myself. Overall Great place! The only thing to keep in mind is if it is going to be hot out the upstairs of the barn is very hot and they had the fans going... It really needs better ventilation to move the air through. read more

I had my wedding here a few weeks ago and I was so disappointed in the way that the owners treated my family and I. I honestly feel as if I was being sabotaged by them. I was disrespected and threatened by the owners on my wedding day (who attended my wedding and also invited another person that was their friend, TO MY WEDDING?!) They were in everyone's face, following everyone around. They made up the rules as they went... suddenly, alcohol was no longer allowed outside? I do not recommend any bride putting herself into a stressful situation and leaving her wedding day had been disrespected and sabotaged. Especially when this can be avoided by hosting your wedding elsewhere! read more

We were so lucky to have the Red Barn Studios as our venue. Jason and Laurie were absolutely amazing. They were so helpful and made a crazy process sane! We even had a giant slip and slide, which was a great hit with kids of all ages. The barn and grounds are gorgeous and made for spectacular photographs! All of our guests were blown away! We had our daughter's wedding here and it was absolutely gorgeous. Such a fun venue. Jason and Laurie were so helpful and easy to work with. They let us make it ours and were accessible for help all day. It is very kid friendly - we had games going outside, dancing inside. We couldn't have asked for a better spot to celebrate All of our guests loved it - we have received nothing but great reviews on the venue and location. Highly recommended - but book early. I ha my wedding here this past weekend and all I can say is that the venue and service was BEYOND what we expected! Everyone who attended won't stop writing me telling me how amazing the site was, how beautiful it was decorated (which by the way is exactly how it comes... I canceled half of my rentals I had for decoration after a walk through in person because anything added would have taken away from the beauty of this breathtaking venue). Jason was AMAZING and more than accommodating with our requests and making some last minute adjustments to make this day something out of my dreams. Laurie was so patient and helpful with our slightly unorganized schedule making sure that we received more than we ever expected photography wise. If we could hold an anniversary party here every single year I would be the happiest girl alive. Plain and simple... I live across country, planned everything last minute and never could have had "the wedding of the year" that we have heard several times, without the red bard studios. My father put it best when we did the walk through by saying "if your caterer didn't show up and everything went wrong, you will still have the most beautiful wedding ever". We just had our wedding at this venue, we were very happy with our choice. It is a beautiful barn and the grounds make a very good setting for pictures. Jason was very helpful and accomadating and he also contributed some really great ideas. I found it to be pretty reasonably priced when compared to other locations. The only suggestions i would have is that jason and Laurie meet tje couples together so there are no miscommunications. When we booked the venue and paid our money in full we were not told about an additional $500 deposit to be paid 30 days before our wedding and there was also miscommunication over the liability imsurance where jason said if there was to ne no alcohol we woild not need it and Laurie explaimed we would. To be fair all of that is in our contract that we signed and just didnt read but maybe highlighting those details would be good. We just had our daughters wedding at the Red Barn. One word to describe it "Beautiful". I feel that Jason and Laurie were very kind. I liked that you have control of the dance and food. We chose Big T BBQ in Centralia . I cant begin to talk about there kindness too. I feel that both these places really care about your wedding. They want to make it special. They are a large part of it. Its really scary planning something like this. Their honesty and caring made this wedding a day to remember. I would recommend again. We had about 100 guests. We held our annual company meeting at Red Barn Studios today. We needed a place that was half way between Portland and Seattle and Red Barn is the ideal place when you want something out of the ordinary for a company meeting. We were tired of the boring conference centers! Red Barn has a beautiful location and the barn is lovingly restored. We were worried that in such a big place, we might be cold and nothing is further from the truth! Jason has done an awesome job making sure there are heaters galore - we even opened windows at one point because we got so lucky for February and had a beautiful sunny day. The sound system is great and Jason has wired it all up so you have awesome sound. He and Laurie were a pleasure to work with! Our employees were so surprised to come here and they loved it! The setting is ideal - out in the country, but only a few miles from I-5. We held team building activities there and everyone had a blast. So many people commented that this was the best day and how great the location was. He is passionate about this barn and it shows in the care he takes with you - Jason is so helpful and wants to be sure they day is going just the way you want it! I'd go back every year! read more
