I am so UPSET and in tears as I write this. My fiancé and I had searched high and low for the best, most competent, and amicable HVAC company to provide us with a full HVAC and hot water heating system for our new home. We were so ecstatic to find Creature Comforts, John WAS an absolute pleasure, and things WERE going so smoothly. After much discussion, emails, and providing them with a plethora of information (including the HVAC load calculations from our mechanical engineer), we were anticipating a quote and virtually ready to sign on the dotted line.
That was until the installation manager came to see our house (we were not present as it is under construction) and we received the evasive "thanks, but no thanks" email bidding us goodbye.
This company refuses to tell us why they won't sell us the thousands of dollars of Lennox products we very much want, they won't tell us what is "wrong" with our new basement mechanical area, and they refuse to explore the possibility of us making the necessary alterations to make this job viable. This is NOT how to treat potential clients! I am left in a paranoid state that something is faulty with my house and the fact that they will not disclose what it is that makes them "uncomfortable" is beyond UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
After my fiancé called and spoke with John twice asking for clarity and peace of mind, I called and pleaded for them to alleviate this anxiety they have caused me (yes, I was on the phone crying and have no shame in stating that; serious construction and home renovations can break down even the strongest of people) and still they gave us NOTHING. John had spoken to the owners about our displeasure in being rejected and the disrespect we feel of not being told why, and they clearly instructed him to keep his mouth shut. It is obvious that the people running this company are totally UNETHICAL and have ZERO integrity. My fiancé and I both run businesses and we would never plague a potential client as such.
You know the saying "if something seems too good to be true..."? I am starting to question the validity of their stellar reviews because good workmanship alone cannot stand without honour. I must say that John DID take our calls when he could have just ignored us, but that is not enough for me to warrant not writing this negative review (which I informed him of). It is very unfortunate that a company would be willing to risk so much positive potential business because they have NO compassion and feel it's okay to toy with people's time, emotions, and mental health.
