Very poor customer service. I ordered muffins as a gift and it took almost 2 weeks to get there. The bakery says it was the post office's fault and not theirs. However, instead of just saying sorry, they wrote me this very rude email calling me names and claiming it was my fault for sending it standard shipping. Here is the email I received: We've been shipping these muffins for almost 20 years so we know how they end up. Just admit that you were cheap so this is your fault, the options to get it faster were there and you chose not to pay for them. It seems like this is a great LOCAL bakery and should stick to LOCAL. I ordered a pineapple upside down cake on Dec 30 as it looked like it could be delivered on Jan 2 which was the specific intention and purpose of ordering this at all to be delivered ON my sister's birthday. She recently lost her partner to cancer and her partner always made this cake for her birthday so it was very sentimental. I chose my delivery date and AFTER I paid I received an email that it was closed until Jan 2. I immediately emailed that I may need to cancel as that was the whole point of ordering. Mark from "customer service" replied via email that I supposedly should have seen that they were closed until January 2nd on their website as well as when I chose my delivery date. That is illogical because why would I then be surprised enough to email them about it after getting the closure news AFTER purchase. I replied that it didn't say they were closed anywhere on their site after I went back to their site to make sure. The only thing close to this info was a drop down menu saying I was fine with delivery after January 1st which obviously was fine as I specifically wanted Jan 2nd. I want to cancel and have started a dispute with my bank as well as emailing them that I have done so. I just KNOW that they will pull the old "it's already been made" after reading their "refund policy" It's very shady to not reply or acknowledge in any way and then feign that -oops it's already been made so no refund. I have yet to receive any shipping notification and reached out via email Jan 3 and today with no reply as well as called today and left a message I can almost guarantee after reading reviews online that I'll get some snarky "customer service " reply - which honestly is even worse than receiving bad service in the first place. I will own my part that I should have researched more to see that they are a small business not located in the state I wanted it delivered but at the time I assumed maybe they partnered with other bakeries in different locales kind of like what flower delivery services do. I should have read reviews online as well before ordering as their terrible and rude responses are a huge red flag. I was just so excited by the possibility of having this sentimental moment that I didn't research better. And No Mark or whoever replies to reviews- I am not a Karen. Updated: my husband ordered this cookie cake for my birthday because you know...he's considerate and doesn't make me make my own birthday treat. And yes it was very lackluster. I'm fairly positive my 6 year old could have decorated it just like this. In my updated review you will find a cookie cake from a business who's owner tragically passed last year - it's 20$ cheeper than yours and much much better no chemical taste in their buttercream no matter the color. Im very sorry you seem to not enjoy being reviewed by the general public but as a bakery your chosen profession is serving the general public. This is a pretty bad company. I ordered a Mother's Day gift. That didn't arrive two weeks later. I complained and asked for compensation. For my trouble I was told they don't negotiate with terrorists and called a Karen lol. It's the worst customer service there could be. To top it off, the package arrived today (17days later) where I found out they mailed it two days after I asked. Another cherry on top of that it came melted and with mold! During the pandemic I was unable to bake any peanut butter cookies for my son, who lives a few miles from me, so I searched online and found Creative Sweet Treats and placed an order for one dozen, to be delivered via Priority Mail today. I am happy to report that I had great communication with their team, received a message when the cookie order shipped which included tracking, and my son sent me photos of the delicious cookies! His comment was "MMM MMM". Please see photos. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I will definitely consider ordering from them again, despite the fact that they are located in Missouri and my son is in California. Poor product and poor customer service. We ordered a chocolate drizzle cake to celebrate a birthday with 8 balloons. Upon arrival, the cakes finish was extremely poor, messy and sloppy, with bits of icing missing and inadequate care of attention and detail. The taste of the cake was considerably dry and thus we could only eat one slice of the cake. We also ordered balloons in which the quality of the ballon was cheap. After 6 hours the balloons had fallen to the floor, due to the lack of helium. They arrived to my apartment pretty deflated. When raising my concerns, the owner denied any wrong doing and handled the situation abysmally. I was going out of the country , so I ordered this cake as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday as I was going to miss his birthday. Pineapple Upside Down Cake is his favorite and this was the only place I could find that could deliver one. I ordered it 5-7 days in advance and it arrived one day before I requested. This company is based in St. Louis, MO and he works in Oxon Hill, MD. I didn't have to rush delivery. I had it sent to his job so it wouldn't sit out. I called his boss, arranged everything, tracking the shipment from the other side of the globe. I would have preferred it to be shipped via FedEx rather than USPS as the post office is known to have issues with delivery and timing. I asked for extra brown sugar topping, a candle, a card with a note, knives, forks & plates. The plates were never received and I wasn't impressed by the candle. I would have liked if they had a fun birthday candle. The cake was perfectly packaged I am told. No issues with shipment. I saw the card and they printed the message I wrote and affixed it with a clear address label. It was cute. I did get to taste the cake and here is my opinion: the extra brown sugar topping should be standard. I didn't taste anything extra but it tasted and looked like it should have been made. I can't imagine how it tastes without paying for the extra topping. My boyfriend loved this cake and wanted to buy a second one. He shared this with his friends and they all raved about the cake and how I did a job well done. The cake was average size. Serving 6-8 adults. This cake should be offered in larger sizes, specifically a huge rectangular party size. I can bake so I'm less likely to order again unless I have another out of town need to surprise him. My boyfriend may order however. I did not read the reviews until he asked me how I chose the bakery and I was shocked by those with negative experiences. I cannot speak on their experiences as I don't want to dismiss it but my experience was amazing. The delivery was timely and the cake was delicious. My only issue was: I never got the plates I paid for. If I could give this place zero stars I would.. I placed an order for a cake for my father a month before Father's Day. I specially made the delivery date the day before Father's Day so it would be delivered on time. I called this company MULTIPLE times before the scheduled delivery to make sure that the cake would be delivered on time. Saturday comes and no cake... I call the company and they proceed to tell me it is not there fault - just wait for it. At this point I'm a little annoyed due to the fact that I specified a specific time I wanted it delivered. So I'm hopeful and wait until Sunday. Sunday comes.. no cake At this point I'm just down right disappointed. It's Father's Day and my present to my father isn't delivered. On Monday the cake was delivered at 4pm. When the package arrived it was just in a plain box. No dry ice, no ANYTHING! The cake looked completely brown and disgusting. I proceeded to call the company and let them know. While taking with an employee she mentioned to me that she had just been in an accident which is why she hasn't gotten back to me. If you don't like it you don't have to order from us. Beware the ordering process!! The website has a flaw in that the customer can choose various types of delivery, but some cakes cannot be shipped in particular ways. I was chatting online to rectify that problem with my order and the chatter-er (?) got very defensive when I wanted to confirm that adding a payment for hand delivery would be associated with my original order. I even offered a solution to the website issue (a drop down menu of which cakes can be ordered with what delivery method) and he/she got even more defensive and insulted me. Directly insulted me.
