This left me shaken up. I spoke with several other companies and then Vernon came out. I can say that immediately you feel safe in his presence and it's very clear he cares about ensuring people are safe and FEEL safe in their homes. He is a former cop and it shows. He is someone with the experience and instincts to really understand safety and that was very apparent in our conversations. He's not a salesman - he's a security expert who knows what you need and is honest and direct. He didn't try to upsell me on excessive unnecessary items like other companies. He asked about my goals and truly sought to understand exactly what I wanted before giving his suggestions. I asked tons of questions which he answered thoroughly and patiently. The best part about the experience was he could instantly tell I was shaken up from a previous incident and was so compassionate while still being direct. He talked to me about how to keep myself safe in case of another break-in given the layout of the new house and improve overall house safety in other ways. He even noticed the doors weren't installed correctly and missing tiny parts that make a door super easy to kick in. You don't always get more bang for your buck and it's definitely much more expensive than a DIY Google Nest self install, but I will sleep better at night knowing I got the true expert advice I needed to keep myself and my home safe. Due to the permitting system in the area and the issues with the owner of the house I lease there may be issues with getting one feature but I am going very out of my way to find a way to get what he thinks I need. So glad I made that last call to APS.

He was also wobbly when I asked how long the install would take which would affect the price ("it depends"). I didn't need it carved in stone when the guy came to the house, but I think that after I walked him through the house he decided we could afford more - and this was the owner, not some sales guy. I guess he thought I was stupid, but I'm getting more quotes now.

Karim, the owner, answered the phone immediately which was refreshing because many small businesses have their phones go to voicemails when they are out in the field. Karim was able to fit me in as their last appointment for the day which meant that they were at our house in under 2 hours after my initial call. Both Karim and his partner, Antonio, were professional, courteous and had deep knowledge and experience with TVs, mounting and related areas. They quickly assessed our requirements and made some great recommendations for our final setup. We had them install our new OLED as well as relocate an exiting 75" TV to another room. They were extremely careful with the handling of the TVs and placed the appropriate protective material over dressers and other furniture. Even though it was late in the afternoon, they took their time and did not rush their work. In the end, the installations and all of the connections to our sound systems were perfect. Based on my experience with installing TVs, I can confidently state that High Def Solutions will provide extraordinary quality and service with great communication. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for TV installations and other tech related services.
