BCG Rocks! I was having terrible internet service - it kept dropping, was lagging when it was working...it was an absolute mess. In 2018 we bought a new home with BCG smart home package installed. Many things were deficient. The video over ethernet did not work. The BCG guy would come and get it going for a short time and then ran to his next appointment. The connection would flake out. Finally ran a new ethernet cable and it worked perfectly. So this was something never right but BCG never failed to charge for each rushed service visit. We had two control 4 remotes. One had the display fail within two years. The other worked but with a very dim display. We had control 4 light switches. Eleven, more than 50%, of them failed by year 5. Paid $2500 to get that fixed. I think a company like this should do a better job at the outset. Would it be too much to ask for someone to give a follow up call after an expensive service call. They should also use better equipment than this Control 4 stuff with a shocking high failure rate. I told the owner of all the failed switches and he made no offer of any reduction in repair charges. I could never recommend these guys. read more

BCG has now helped me with two homes. Put simply, they have the best, most-professional crews of anyone you can work with. I particularly love working with project managers and technicians. For a technical-minded guy like myself, I find them highly relatable and not condescending techno-snobs that talk down to you. I learn something every time. BCG is on time, efficient, and does clean work. They keep a clean work environment --they won't be dragging dirt into your home and blasting music you don't want to listen to. They are all wearing masks (as I write this Covid is still a thing) and trying to maintain a social distance. If I could give an extra star for this, I would. These are no contractors, they are professionals. You can certainly find other companies that are less expensive to work with but you won't get the service or the professionalism. You certainly won't get one that goes the extra mile as a matter of routine. I am not a guy that writes a lot of Yelp reviews and I have been working with a lot of construction contractors and sub-contractors, and other home services folks. Some companies are worth a shout-out. BCG did a a fantastic job at my house! I shopped around for a few vendors & they provide me with a quick estimate and turn around. They do cost a bit more then some other companies but their reputation is what led me to go with them, and im so happy i did! They installed speakers throughout the house and the control4 system w/lights, audio, video, pool, sprinklers, door locks and more; it was all integrated on an iphone app. Which is one of my favorite features. Makes my life very easy. When investing in a large project like this the most important thing is undoubtedly service, or at least it is to me, and they were great! We had a couple of issues/tweaks after the project had closed and i called them up and they sent out a couple of great guys the following day to fix my issues. I even got a free firmware update!!! We did a major home renovation in LA and worked with a gazillion subcontractors. BCG is hands-down the best of all of them! They were smart and knowledgable, showed awesome customer service, and were very professional. The people we interacted with the most were Joe on the support side and Trey for most of the installation. They are amazing! Trey especially took great pride in his work and did everything to perfection. Jimmy, Melvin, and maybe a few others were also around a different points and were excellent. Our project included wifi, TVs, soundbars, a Sonos system, Yale locks, and a Ring system. The only problem now is that our children have commandeered our 75 inch 4K TV to watch Peppa Pig. read more

Hired this company 10 years ago to do some video/wifi installations and was very pleased with the work. Recently I contacted them to do some modifications and and install some new components. How times have changed. I expressed at the outset a need to get the work done by a certain time and was told it would not be a problem and scheduled the initial meeting. At the last minute they called to reschedule the meeting to the following week and I again reminded them of the time factor. They said no problem. Trey then came out and did a walk through of the work. Two days later I called to follow up and was told the estimators are out on vacation. Joe offered only to send a team out on a time and materials basis but they couldn't be sent out until the following week. Too late. All in all a frustrating experience with very poor follow up and absolutely no sense of urgency or customer service. I couldn't find any way to contact the owner Bryan Gorog so perhaps he'll read this. UPDATE: I received a call back from the owner Bryan Gorog who apologized for the frustrating experience and gave me more context as to the changes in his business. I appreciated the information and his forthrightness. I'm sure if I need help in the future with a larger, more comprehensive AV installation than the one I needed this time I would definitely give them a call. read more

I found BCG on Yelp and Brian came over to give me his feedback and quote. I had a couple of other guys come by to do the same, but we decided to go with BCG as we felt comfortable that they would do a great job AND support us after the installation. Our installation included 6 viewing platforms, Dolby Atmos sound, Apple TV, Blue Ray and X-box. I wished I had known of BCG when I put in the first version of my home system. You ever get something that is way too complex for what you need then always seems to have one problem after another? That was what I had before BCG. BCG installed a very reliable and easy to use system but also full of great features and future expandable. Joe was the manager I dealt with on the install and even now when something needs to be added or adjusted, I can always get in touch with him. He always listens and treats me like a valued customer. He knows this stuff cold. All the technical pros at BCG, like Trey who came out yesterday, know all of the products they service inside and out. Trey helped me with a recommendation on a new TV and let me tell you, he has an encyclopedic memory for electronics. He could tell by sight what size would fit under my cabinet and he had it exactly right. Bryan, the owner, is always hands-on and involved. He's very professional and very customer service oriented. I'm sure it comes from him - from the top. When you make an appointment with BCG, they show up exactly on time, respectful of your space and ready to work. A few years ago I had a minor glitch with one of the pieces I had before they installed their system. I've never seen people work so hard to get it resolved; called the manufacturer's help line, I could tell Joe was stumped and I could tell it really bothered him.
