I was told it needed to sit for about 20 minutes, but it ended up being over 40 minutes! I suspect they simply forgot about me. The consequences were serious: I experienced what appeared to be chemical burns and severe skin irritation in several areas. The affected areas were painful, burning, and visibly red. It took two to three days for the irritation to completely disappear. On top of that, my T-shirt was ruined because so much chemical solution was used that it soaked through the protective cape and onto my clothing. My conclusion: The initially positive experience was completely overshadowed by the perm. When working with chemicals, I expect proper care and strict adherence to processing times. Paying $162.50 only to end up with skin irritation and a ruined T-shirt is absolutely unacceptable to me.

When I reached out letting her know I was trying to do something a little different and that I was a bit disappointed with my results, she ghosted me. Upon seeing a new stylist, they alerted me that she should have let me know what to expect when trying to bleach your hair when you have permanent black color on it and probably warned me against it. I'm glad I found someone new that I trust & that they were able to fix my hair. The supposed highlights came out really bad & looked strippy/striped, brassy & red. I explicitly said I did not want red so obviously I was not pleased. The work I've seen done at the salon has always been nice but this experience was really disappointing especially because I've always tipped well and been a good client and I feel like I just threw $200 in the garbage... plus the amount of money I had to spend at another salon fixing the hair. I also felt like $100 for a root touch up that didn't even cover all my gray hair was a little much. Overall, disappointing & don't recommend.

I waited about 20 minutes before it was my turn, and I initially overlooked that. I clearly explained that I wanted shiny hair with color and absolutely no red. Instead, I received only a root touch-up, and the color was much too dark and had a noticeable red tone. She told me "gloss was built in the color" I also asked for my long hair to be styled because it was flat on top. Unfortunately, my hair was cut much shorter than I wanted, with layers poorly cut and choppy and I felt that what I had asked for was not really listened to. While my hair was still unfinished, two other customers came in. The stylist started a full color and foils on another customer while I sat waiting approximately 50 minutes for my color to process. My hair still had no real style when I was finished, yet I was charged $130. I ended up having my hair corrected at a top salon in Lake Oswego, where I paid $230 and received the service and result I had originally hoped for. I understand that mistakes can happen, but the combination of not listening to what I requested, the color being wrong, the haircut being much shorter than I wanted, and the amount of waiting made this a very disappointing experience. I'm sharing this because I believe the owner should know how the appointment was handled.

I had to send photos of the front and back of my hair, upload "dream hair" pics, complete a survey of the history of my hair, what I want, and then give them my firstborn child. I had surgery scheduled for this week, and wanted my hair done to feel better post-op, heading into Fall. It has been over 2 weeks now, and no response. I don't doubt they're good at what they do, but they're not worth all this nonsense & waiting with no follow-up.

You can also soak with the purchase of a service in the spa (massage, facial, nails). I find that the services are luxury pricing with slightly less than luxury service, so I skip them. It's a saltwater pool, kept below 101 degrees Fahrenheit. I know because I tested it to see if I was safe to soak while pregnant years ago; yes, I brought my own thermometer! Because that's what scientists do. You can bring in beverages from elsewhere on property but please not glass! The teahouse has yummy options but limited hours. You need a key to get in, and there's two large heated bathrooms to change in.

His eyes were right above the sheet line while my chest was uncovered. It was so disturbing and shocking I didn't know what to do, and immediately felt dirty and at fault for no reason. This is a basic, non-negotiable professional boundary, and he crossed it. I've filed a formal complaint with management and requested a refund, disciplinary action, and a policy review -- including offering clients the option of a same-gender therapist at booking. If you're a woman booking here, ask specifically who your therapist will be and whether you can request a female therapist. You shouldn't have to, but until management addresses this, protect yourself.
