Creative Cookware is just that... a store filled with creative items to help all levels of "cooks". Located in Murphys, this quaint little store is filled with unique, epicurean, delights, cooking tools, and a large variety of everything! The five stars is for the great variety, and the unique items. Many of which are not found local to me. I spent a half an hour or more browsing through the store, and was never asked if I needed help, if I had any questions, or anything. It was rather disappointing . While I do enjoy, browsing, and not being asked if I needed help every five minutes for a sales person, it would've been nice to at least have been acknowledged for being in the store. All of that aside, I love the variety of local items from olive oil's, to spices, and more. It's not only great to support small business, but when they are supporting other local businesses, I will embrace that every single time. I love how clean the store is, how neatly everything is displayed, and it's been a while since I've been in such a lovely store that truly embraces culinary art. On our Murpheys promenade we had to stop in this great kitchen store. Wonderful selection of Cookie Cutters, Pots, Pans, you name it, it is there. We have been looking for a Rolling Pin with no handles for awhile. Both of us have stopped using the handles on ours years ago. Women working the shop need to chill. While waiting in line for lunch, my daughter in law walked in to browse with her one year old, who loves spoons. When my daughter in law rejoined me the shopkeeper chased her down and accused her of stealing a spoon. She then complained the baby had the spoon in his mouth. We offered to pay for whatever might have been touched. I went in to try to help locate the "missing" spoon. My daughter in law then went in, immediately found the spoon and happily purchased it for $7.99. Hope the $7.99, for an overpriced cheap spoon, was worth the $ we would have otherwise spent in the store. We will be keeping our business with the Biggest Little Kitchen Store in Jackson. It's a better kitchen store, family owned and operated and very family friendly! read more

My daughter bought some lovely items at this store, including a vegetable spiralizer. One of the ladies working there gave her some pointers when we asked for some assistance on choosing one. We love our zucchini noodles and were very happy to have some help in making the meal less soupy. We did wait a bit due to the limit of customers allowed inside during covid and heard one guy complain about that fact and this is why I could never survive in retail. I'd being kicking ass and taking names with people like this. Global pandemic at its peak, people. Good grief. We went back for a cookbook and some other tidbits the next day. Great store. read more

Despite my disdain for cooking, I do love kicthen stores. Creative Cookware is no exception. Everything here is so fun yet has a purpose! I just like browsing through all of the curious and brightly-colored devices; my husband, on thre other hand, actually enjoys cooking and therefore has a more serious demeanor in here. Utensils, cookware, baking needs, seasonings, cookbooks, dish cloths, etc....you can find just as much here as you can at a larger chain store. The only bummer is that the chain stores charge you less. This stuff here is pretty pricey. read more

Definitely not a kid friendly place. My child made a comment about a product she was holding... Wasn't breakable... and lady took the product away from my child and put it on the shelf and proceeded to stand near us. Just creepy and uncomfortable. Decided to walk out and she gave us a menacing glare. Definitely won't go back to this place again no matter how bored I am while in Murphy's. I love kitchen stores! I feel like I'm channeling the adorable Giada de Laurentis. Time to get your chef on! Creative Cookware is the Williams-Sonoma of Murphys. They have a nice selection of kitchen gadgets, cookbooks and specialty food items (tasty). It is a fun store to browse around or purchase some kitchen paraphernalia. Unfortunately they don't allow pets inside the store (even a cute little Maltese inside a chic doggie carrier). read more

Great spot for higher end cookware that would not otherwise be available nearby, but be prepared to pay for it. They did have my favorite imported buccatini pasta but for $8.95- more than the $3.95 that you'd pay in the bay area, but I suppose its the price to pay for availability. Plus they have just about every cookie cutter shape you could imagine! (sailboat cookies!)...Definitely worth a stop in to explore and inspire you culinary senses...and find the next kitchen gadget you can't live without (mine was the cherry/olive pitter). read more

The two women working today ( November 30, 2013) had obviously already had enough of holiday shoppers and it appeared they did not need our money or business. We went to Creative Cookware to exchange two cylinders for our Sodastream. If you exchange your empty cylinders for new ones, the price for this is very close to $15 everywhere - from large stores like Bed Bath & Beyond and Williams-Sonoma (that most retail of stores) to smaller ones like the kitchen stores in Jackson and Half Moon Bay. But not at Creative Cookware, where they charged very close to $25 for the same item. Thinking it was a mistake, I called the store and was told that their price was $25 and that I shouldn't compare it to the "big" stores (I'm not.) I don't begrudge the markup retail stores charge - they provide a valuable service - but I certainly begrudge when the retailer adds an additional 50%. You won't see me in Creative Cookware again. read more

We are locals who like to support our local stores especially during the Coronavirus. But the local store owners aren't as welcoming. Today, Tuesday 10/27/2020 we thought we would go into creative cookware to buy a number of kitchen items since we are cooking at home more. We entered with masks on, but because we both are elderly (over 70), wearing glasses , we had our masks just below our nostrils so our glasses wouldn't steam up. We had barely stepped into the store (which had no shoppers in the store att the time) and the two workers (one we assume the owner) snapped at us that we had to cover our nostrils! We immediately turned and walked out!!!!! How can we shop with fogged up glasses????? We appreciate the challenges of this current time, but on a slow Tuesday when no one else was in the store, we object to such a dictatorial attitude. We like to support our local Murphy's stores and in some cases spend more to do so, but shopping with fog glasses when there was no threat to anyone was ridiculous. We will take our shopping to other retailers. read more

I bought an award winning Masala sauce that was excellent and also another award winning garlic olive oil that was out of this world! I love Creative Cookware. It is a little gem nestled in the Gold Country of California. They have a wonderful selection of high end kitchen cookware, gadgets, linens, food items etc... I am especially in love with their Polish Pottery. They often have the difficult to find signature items. Customer service is excellent! This store has everything you need and is fun to browse in too. We have shopped here over the years and purchased everything from pots and pans to placemats, napkins, cookbooks, utensils, and shakers! We buy tea, tapenades, soup mixes, and cake mixes. Some items are more expensive, some less but I'm doing business with a local merchant who knows my name, offers great service, buys items for us as needed and takes care of locals and tourists. Amazon can't do that nor most locales in the bay area. Love this place and love the owner. i'm a long-lasting customer! read more

My husband and I visited this shop to purchase a couple of baking pans. My aunt had purchased us a particular brand (USA pans) from there and we really liked them. Anyway, we ordered two cake pans from the woman there. When we asked for a total she could not give it to us. When we asked when the pans would be in she said she would not be ordering ANY time soon so maybe in 6 weeks or so. This was after I waited nearly 10 minutes for her to get off the phone so I could place the order. Well, when we got back home I found the pans online and I would have them in just 6 days. My husband and I both prefer to support small business but this particular small business didn't seem to want our business. I placed the order online and then called Creative Cookware to cancel the order we had placed. I didn't think this would be a problem as it had only been a day since placing it and she stated she would not be ordering ANY time soon. Well she got annoyed with me and then HUNG UP THE PHONE! I could not believe it. I would give this store a negative rating for customer service if I could! So saddened by this.
