Visited Murphys with my girlfriends and stopped by to look around. Found the perfect gift for our friend who let us stay in her cabin. Suki was so nice, offered to gift wrap our purchase and made small talk. Nice clean store with beautiful clothing & accessories. We bought a cute t-shirt that was very affordable. This Little shop is just lovely & very friendly! Covid standards enforced ! Very nice assortment of socks for both men & women whimsical & cute . An array of T-Shirts & priced at a reasonable cost. Went into store looking for sandals or water shoes about a week and a half ago. The clerk was on the phone having a grand time. First thing she said after my asking about shoes was 'we don't have any of those in women's'. I said, that they didn't have to be women's. She proceeded to tell her friend that 'she'd be right back' and set the phone down. She walked over to one pair and pointed them out. I saw some others on a rack, which I looked at, while she went back to her phone call. I also went into "Mad About Shoes" a few doors down. That clerk was talking to 3 friends and all I got out of her was an 'Hello' No help there at all, The locals used to keep businesses going during the off season, now it's allll about the tourists. I've been here for 50 years and won't be going back to your shop. I went to Swensens Shoes in Jackson and bought 2 pairs of shoes, nice selection, one was on sale, very nice layout and friendly clerk. They also have shoe repair available. Will be shopping there from now on. read more

Everytime we are in Murphy's, we always end up making a purchase here for my husband and sometimes end up with a few Xmas gifts as well. They always have something we need. It's a great little place and the staff is very helpful. If you are looking for outdoor gear, this is your one stop shop. read more

Great place to stop and buy outdoor wear/gear! This is a very cute boutique. I loved that as soon as we entered we were welcomed and made felt comfortable. We were also helped throughout our whole purchase and didn't feel rushed even though we got there near closing time. In all, I was very satisfied with our visit here and the merchandise. I made a stop off at this store on my way to Big Trees with my husband, because we weren't prepared with a bag nor shoes. We got both of these and a bunch of other items we didn't need. This little shop is amazing, and so cute! I wanted to buy so much more, but didn't have enough money. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Their stock is great and prices are reasonable. I will definitely return the next time we're in Murphy's to buy more stuff we don't need!! :) read more

We have had magnificent experiences in all three stores. Just exchanged a kayak for a longer boat with no hassles whatsoever at the Arnold store. Definitely a local business worth patronizing. Not my style at all here, but it's a cute shop with many brands that hikers love. The prices were decent for being in a tourist town. The clerk was so friendly, chatted us up and talked about merchandise and movies. Wish I could have found something to buy just because she was so nice!! read more

Today while shopping in the store i was approached by an employee who asked if I had a mask to wear? I said no. She then told me to leave the store. I informed her I was disabled and unable to wear a mask. Evidently she doesn't understand The Americans With Disabilities Act and how that her request was a violation of said act. Her response to me was I needed to wear a mask like everyone else. She was very rude. I waked out of the store. I am a local, I try and keep my business local and am an avid outdoorsman. I have frequented all three of SNAK's store over the past two decades. SNAK you just lost a local. Good Job. read more

Having previously rented from the SNAC on Highway 4, we had to stop in to this SNAC store while in Murphys. I love the surf/snow/adventure style shops as it is, so this shop was no different. I could spend a lot of time in this store and not too much at the same time... which is what we did. They even had our information on file from our last visit, so that was cool to feel a little welcomed from a place we hardly get to visit but once very year or two. =) read more

This place has a good mix of stuff. Disc golf, shoes, water bottles, good adventure clothes too! I work at an outdoor store and while most hings in murphys are higher priced than anywhere else, their prices were very fair, along with lots of sections with discounted stuff. The women there were very friendly as well. I dont live in the area, but when i visit next i will definitely stop by. read more

Don't touch the frisbees! My wife was shopping for clothing here while my 8 year old son and I were looking at the frisbees. I had one in my hand that was printed with the store logo, and was planning to buy it as a momento of our trip. My son was asking me about frisbee golf, when a seemingly friendly (I'm assuming owner) approached and asked if we needed any help. I said "no thanks, my son just loves playing frisbee." She replied: "Are you sure?, because the little ones like him like to pull the frisbees out and put them back in the wrong place, and then I have to spend my time putting them back in the right place." That's all I needed to hear. Since she clearly doesn't need the business, we won't be back. read more

I love this business and am a long-time customer; however, today my sister-in-law who was visiting from L.A. wanted to look for some new pants and we went to SNAC, of course. My sister-in-law asked the saleslady what sizes they went up to and she replied up to size 12 or XL. My sis-in-law commented she is larger than that and the lady said something like . . . well, we're for active, outdoors people . . . CLEARLY implying my sis-in-law was not her type of customer. I felt so horrible for my relative and as I thought more about it, I realized I was sorry for SNAC too, because they're such a part of the community and should not have employees who hurt visitors' feelings with rude comments. Also, a few months ago a different saleslady who was ringing up my husband's purchase made it known that in the Great Cannabis Dispute, anyone who was against commercial grows were absolutely wrong in their thinking. When he responded different people have different opinions, she went on to say a certain member in the community who she is very close to knows ALL about it and YOU are absolutely wrong. nice store and nice staff. my husband was yacking it up with suky...shes a kick very friendly and makes you feel very comfortabe. they have the cutest shoes and boots. lotsa cute backpackes and the womans clothes are beyond cute. I bought a pull on skirt its a paisley print with pockets ...i love it. i also bought a tank top...kind of a cream and brown design. i had to hold myself back especially on the shoes..i loved them but i already have a zillion pairs and its kind of funny cause i only have one leg! its ok you can laugh!!!! read more
